Osaka Castle
One of the most famous dungeons in Japan
Osaka Castle is a fortified building surrounded by a park and its moat, located east of the economic capital of Kansai. First erected in 1583, the Osaka-jo keep was destroyed and rebuilt several times, until its last modern concrete version was finalized in 1997. It is one of the city’s main attractions for visitors.
The walk around Osaka Castle is no less pleasant since the park around is quite large (one square kilometer) and offers a lung of greenery to the east of a city that is highly urbanized.
