After being officially designated last year in a ministerial order, Alberta is marking its first Japanese Heritage Month. It’s meant to celebrate and recognize the history and contributions of the Japanese community in the province. In Lethbridge, this recognition has been a long time coming for some Japanese Canadians there. The CBC’s Elise Stolte recently visited to learn more.
