Typhoon 12 Neighborhood Footage- Kagoshima, Japan August 2025
Absolutely terrifying. This is a little stream that’s behind our house. So, we’ve gotten over 7 in of rain. Most of that just this afternoon. And this river is insane. It’s usually about a foot deep and just a trickle. Unbelievable. Wow. It’s up close to the road here. I bet it’s I bet this water is 10 ft deep right now. Wow. It’s scary to have the like these houses right next to it. Wow. [Music] You have your house right there. This is just turned into a lake. Yeah.
Typhoon 12 formed off of the Kagoshima Prefecture and came ashore on August 21st, 2025. It brought some wind, but lots of rain. Precipitation reports in the local area were around 13 inches in 24 hours. Some flooding and landslides occurred. I took a walk as the storm was in a lull. This footage is just a local stream down the road from us and the local soccer field.
