We Had THIS In JAPAN…
Hello. What’s up everybody? Thank you for clicking on today’s video. As a continuation from last video, we were eating at Enshidashi Pai in the amazing Nishki and we’re going to continue our journey throughout Kyoto. So stick around and watch till the end because we’ve got some cool stuff planned for you guys. Also, please consider subscribing to our YouTube channel. We’re on the road to 10K subscribers right now. So without further ado, enjoy the video. Okay, everybody. We just came out of this place called the Real Cafe or the Dog Cafe um out here in Nishki. It’s like kind of in the middle. So, you get through that big long line of traffic that uh starts at the beginning of Nishki and then if you go off to the left and then you keep going and then you make it to a part where it kind of cuts through the middle. I mean, you guys can even see it cuts through the middle. If you keep walking down, you’ll find this place called the Rio Dog Cafe. It’s got a big bone in front of it. You can see the name up there. So awesome. That was so cool. Yeah, the the little tiny dogs were so adorable. We got a couple of clips. Mom got a couple of clips. You know that there are mixed reviews on going to animal cafes in Japan or Asia in general, but these dogs were super well taken care of. None of them have like bite marks and they didn’t have to they were not emaciated obviously. They eat a lot and they a lot of them were potty trained and the ones who were potty trained um had diapers. So there was not like animal pieces everywhere. So it was clean. It was really good. They wore diapers. You’re going to see in all these clips that we put up on the screen here in just a second. Um all of them were super gentle. The ones that um had a little more bite to them, you’ll see um there’s one that um he he or she I couldn’t figure it out, but um they just couldn’t figure out uh how to bite gently, but that’s not a fault of like the trainers or the owners or even the dog itself. That’s just one of those things that as soon as uh it comes along with time, they’ll figure out how to like nibble or like bite down uh peacefully or nicely. But dude, so much fun in there. Z, how how’d you like it? That was great experience. Yeah, that was like a good That was a 10 actually. That was 30 minutes with unlimited drinks. That’s right. I was smiling basically the entire time. The whole time. I rate that as a 10. That was a That was a very fun experience. Yeah. So, they said um they had like two different plans. One of them was like a 10-minute plan. Um you didn’t get to drink anything and you only got a couple of like little jaw or dog treats to start off with. But then if you got the 30inut experience, it came with unlimited drinks um for the humans and then it came with those starter dog treats and then you could order chicken, like little bowls of dehydrated chicken to to feed to the dogs. But I got a couple uh clips with the dog. My favorite dog was the Frenchie. I love that little French. He had on a cute little like pink and yellow diaper. Man, he was so cute. That was hilarious. So much. Did you have a favorite dog? Which one was your favorite? Oh man, I like the golden one. He He had like golden weenie. A funny little face. Yeah, there was the golden weenie, too. That was pretty funny. But yeah, I liked I liked all the dogs. They were all so cute. But yeah, we’re going to keep uh we’re going to keep exploring this wonderful area of Nishki and uh seeing what else we can find. Yeah, if you guys for real, if you guys want to come down to Nishki and you’re like, “Man, I don’t really know what to do in Nishki. I don’t know what shops to go see.” Go out and see the Rio Dog Cafe, man. You will have so much fun. Even if it’s just 30 minutes, man. That’s a good way to start off your day. Be positive, have a little bit of fun, maybe maybe treat some dogs and feel good, you know? That was super awesome. So, like we’re going to keep walking around, keep enjoying Nishi for the last day that we’re here. And as soon as we find something else, we’ll pick back up the camera. So, catch you guys around. Mhm. And little did we know by this point that we’d be heading into this super interesting donut shop. Check it out. Lemon strawberry pizza. Oo, looks pretty good. Yeah. So, from the outside, I thought this was like sardines on top. I was like, “What? Sardines and donuts?” This one, it’s butterscotch. Yeah, let’s get it. Yeah. Contains alcohol. Oh, really? These This contains alcohol. Contains alcohol. You want to try that one? Yeah, let’s try it. A banana. Okay, that’s that’s enough. I think that’ll be totally harmful. All right, that’ll be fine. That is plenty. So, yeah, guys, there’s like a lot of people in here. We have some kind of quiet. Well, please wait here. We are at a place called Koi Donuts. It’s a fish koi and we are going to compete cuz I know our love for Mr. Donut. And we’re going to see if this is good or better. We’re going to call this donut day cuz we’re eating so many donuts in one day. Peanut butter, raspberry. Let’s try this. First of all, pungent. It’s crunchy peanut butter. Crunchy peanut butter. All right. Crunchy peanut butter. Tastes exactly like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. M. The bread or the doughnut bread is like fried. Yeah. Interesting. It tastes good though. What’s this called? Mont Blanc. It has alcohol in it. Mont Blanc. Um, yeah. I’m not really sure what the flavor is. It said it contains egg, milk, and then alcohol, which Literally, I don’t know what that means in combination. But we’re going to try this out and see what it’s like. Let’s take a nice big bite out of it. Three, two, one. Down the hatch. What does it taste like? Alcohol. Is that No. I don’t know. Not for Not for him. I don’t think it’s for me. You scared? Wow. This thing is seriously doughy. Wow. The sweet is not sweet. It’s neither sweet nor salty. It’s like a It’s like right in the middle. It’s like a little bit sweet and a little bit salty. You know, the inside of emoji when you get close to the filling, that’s what the topping tastes like. Like almost flavorless. Okay. Made without This one is caramel. Caramel butterscotch. Try this one. [Music] That also does not taste like caramel or butterscotch. What does it taste like? It tastes like fried dough. Tastes like fried dough. It’s better than this one, but not as good as Try this. Going in. That one’s pretty good, actually. That’s not that bad. That’s pretty good. Um, I’ll say definitely better than this one. This one is like not good a lot. Just say what it is. It’s It’s not good. Definitely. It’s real dry. This is dry, too. This is pretty dry, but it tastes more like Let’s try this baby. Banana chocolate. Everyone on the vlog knows my love of banana. I’ve said it before in a previous video. We were in Hong Kong and I got a banana chocolate caramel bar. Yum. Okay, so everybody knows my love of banana. Let’s give this a try. Let’s try the piece with the banana. Maybe it’ll taste even better. The flavor very banana. So, for that, I love it. But the dough, it’s like doughy. I don’t know. The dough they use, they use the same dough on every single doughut. And it almost throws off the entire rest of the taste, which I’ll have to say. I mean, I don’t want to say it, but that’s like minus points overall. I mean, these donuts are a five out of 10. How much did they cost? Um 2,000 yen for all four. Maybe not that. No, no. 15530,500 yen for all four. So probably if you’re looking for the best bang for your buck donuts. $8 for donuts. These are probably not the best donuts. I would definitely go with something else. Mr. Donut. But Mr. Donut. Mr. Donut. So yeah, three times. We tried it. It was just okay. Yeah. Thanks, Koi Donut, for trying. You did your best. I think so, too. What’s up, everybody? So, we’ve been walking around uh walking around Nishki Market. Walking around Nishki Market. It’s been a fun time. I feel like it’s starting to die down maybe a little bit. I could be totally wrong. Could be could be raising in population. I literally don’t know. Uh there’s so many people here. And anyways, yeah, we were walking down one of these streets on Nishki and uh we found this big giant place. As you can see behind us, this big place is actually a theater, a giant theater in the middle of Nishki. So, if you were walking around and just happen to know Japanese or something, I guess you could go watch a movie here theoretically cuz there’s like I don’t know, maybe 15 different movies out right now that they’re showing their like anime style with it. This one right here looks looks like live action. Almost looks like a samurai. Look at that. This thing is definitely signed by the actual actors, though. How cool is that? The the literal preview is signed by the people who star in it, which is super cool. I wish that we didn’t add it in America. But yeah, so I just kind of wanted to point that out. I was like, “Wo, that’s kind of crazy cuz yeah, we’re just walking around in the middle of Nishki and there’s a theater right here.” So that’s kind of cool. Um, but yeah, we didn’t really have anywhere else that we wanted to go. We’ve gotten most of the souvenirs that we’ve wanted to get. There was one place I wanted to go though that had leather jackets. So, I’m Jams. It’s called Jams. So, we’re about to go check that out and see all the leather jackets and the clothing that they have. And yeah, we will take you guys there. So, we didn’t actually have any cool footage of that shop that I was talking about, but we were going to a restaurant up next. So, check it out. Yo, what’s going on everybody? We are back from Mishki Market. We had to stop inside the hotel for a little bit because Oh my god, we were so exhausted. Yeah. No, you’re good, bro. Don’t worry. Don’t worry. Thank you. Yeah. Um, yeah, we were so exhausted from traveling around Ishki Market that we decided we had to go back to the hotel for a little bit, but now we made our way to this uh it’s called the British Pub Hub. British Pub Hub. Uh, it’s right outside of Yodamashi Kyoto. go as soon. So, usually whenever you go across the street from our hotel, you go down these escalators into Yorbashi. We didn’t do that. You just kind of go along the outside of Yordashi. And if you keep following it along before you meet like this four-way street, that’s where you’ll find this British pub. And we got seated pretty much immediately. Uh there’s an outside and an inside seating. We chose inside just cuz the outside has a little bit of smoking, a little bit things that uh we don’t smoke, so we don’t need to be sitting out there ingesting all that. But we’re inside right now. We’re ordering. We’re going to get a couple of things. Of course, it’s a fish and chip hub. But right now, we’re getting shrimp. We’re getting chicken. Uh we’re getting some kind of fish. I don’t know if it’s white meat or not, but we’ll see it all whenever it comes to the table. We didn’t get any alcohol, unfortunately. But hey, man, I’m pretty excited after a long day. Um I’m already pushing about 10, maybe 11,000 steps for the day. Uh and it’s only 6:42. if you guys can see that. So, after this, we’re going to kind of just lay back again. It is the last day of being out here in Kyoto. So, super sad, but what a way to unwind it by just getting some some good protein, enjoying a little bit of uh little bit of a vibe. That’s Man, this place gives off a really good vibe, man. I kind of like the lighting in here. It’s like uh it feels a lot different than being inside a regular uh Japanese restaurant. Like, uh I don’t know. It feels much more English in here. interesting. But um yeah, we’re excited to be in here. We’re about to eat our food. I’m sort of hungry, not really hungry. We ate some food from earlier today. We tried all those snacks and treats and stuff and so we’re not we’re not the most hungry people in the world, but her English is so good. Really, it’s like perfect. It I mean it’s so good. And I was like, “Your English is she’s like, “Thank you.” She’s like, “I didn’t have this.” I’m like, “It’s great.” Good. Is it better than like the average Japanese person? I’m like I said it’s so good. She was like oh good. I said meanwhile my Japanese zero. She started laughing. She was like are you practicing? I said I studied for 3 months and then for a different trip to Japan and then I quit and I don’t remember one one single thing besides um and she was like oh right. I’m like yeah I am that person who has fluent English in a sentence. I’m like, “Can I have this? This, this, and I’m like and she started laughing.” She was like, “That’s okay. Some people don’t even do that.” I’m like, “Okay, that’s hilarious.” Yeah. If you come to Japan, there’s only like a couple of words that you like need to know as a foreigner. Um, I hear that some Japanese people don’t actually appreciate it whenever you come straight from like America or like the UK or whatever and you immediately try to start speaking English to them. But that could just be word of mouth, something like that. But words that you need to know are like uh and then you need to know like not hi. They’re high is h a i which means yes or like yes I understand. So those two words are are pretty prevalent around here, especially if you do what we do, which we just order a lot of food and then we just eat it, which I love. Big back over here. But so you need to know how to say thank you for uh for whenever they they treat you at your table or get you the food that you need, you know. So we’re going to cut it off here. Yeah, we’re probably going to cut it off here. Uh, I think the only other thing that we have planned after this is going to be Yodabashi, which we’re just going to stop beside Yodabashi to look around one last time. I think we might find something specifically that we want to look at, but I don’t think we’re going to actually buy. Our suitcases are like totally filled up, so we don’t really have much space left for any of any more stuff. So, that’ll probably be our last spot that we stop at. There was an ice cream shop right next to the APA hotel that I was thinking maybe we might go to, but we’ll see. We’ll have to see when our food gets here. We will see you again. Some of our food dishes just got here. Uh Rowan’s and dad’s got here and mom’s got here. Mine’s still not here, unfortunately. But they got This is these cool little baskets. Yo. Yeah. Oh, it’s my bad. It’s like a very liquid sauce. Here, give it to Come here. Little bit of spilled sauce, but that’s okay. Little bit of chicken. Get out of the way. And then fish is back there. And then there’s a couple of chips down here. And then it comes with chili sauce, tartar sauce, and then just ketchup. But then she came by and she gave us a little bit of this glaze. It’s a vinegar. And then they gave us a little bit of this like habanero hot sauce. over there. She got wings coming too. Yeah. Thank you. A couple more things at the table right here. Okay. So, the reason that I got these nachos, they’re called on the grill. They look a little burnt, but they don’t taste good. So, that’s okay. They don’t taste good. So, the reason that I got these nachos is because yesterday Dan thought heard something about Mexican food when we were walking on the street, which he didn’t, and he said Mexican food. And so, ever since then, I’ve been thinking about the second time, so one of those like habanero wings or something. Oh, it’s just too hot. Oh, it’s hot. Look at these. Wow. And they got like a glaze on the bottom. You can’t really see it, but there’s a little bit of sauce down there if you guys can see that. They are wet. Super wet wings. I am so excited actually to eat this. Holy cow. My food is has yet to man. I hope I got it. You think you got it? First bite. Let me go. The shrimp. The shrimp and chips. I think it’s coming. Thank you so much. Thank you so much. Thank you. All right. The creme de la creme just made it to the table. Look at that. Uh let’s see. Shrimp here and fries here. Ketchup. Or maybe that’s ketchup. Okay. Ketchup. It’s not It’s not cocktail sauce. And then tartar sauce. So guys, I just want to let you guys see this real quick. I took that bite of the fish. Take a look. If you guys can see this. There we go. It is pure white meat inside there. So tasty. The batter is very uh like flaky. Very well seasoned actually. Um, and I hear we haven’t actually been to the UK, but we do hear that uh the UK doesn’t actually salt a lot of things. You kind of have to salt everything to your preference as a like as a whole, but these are actually very well seasoned. Uh, there’s quite a lot of salt actually. If you’re from Britain, is that true? Yeah. Let us know down in the comments if you’re from the UK or from Britain as a whole. Let us know. Do you guys actually salt things or is it more of like a you salt them yourselves down to your preference or liking? That’s just what I heard. But again, totally feel free to prove me wrong down in the comments. [Music] It’s hot mashed potatoes and the shepherd’s fine shepherd. Mhm. So, fried shrimp is really good. It’s got a nice crispy batter on it. Um. Mhm. Yeah, it tastes pretty good. It’s a soft batter. It’s not too crunchy. It’s perfect. And the shrimp inside of it is super hot. Like very very hot. Like lava. It’s real hot. This is one of the chicken wings. Look how good it is. Yeah, it’s good. It’s good. I think I put the Gos. [Music] It’s kind of a surreal experience getting like all this. I call it like American food in Japan. It’s English food. It’s It’s real crazy. No, I like that sauce. No, I spilled all this sauce. I know. I’m trying so hard not to spill, man. I just like that sauce. This is a little spoon of the shepherd pie. That’s good. It looks absolutely delicious and smells just the same. Beast. By the way, guys, this chicken, I don’t know if I’ve talked about it. These pieces right here, they almost taste like karag. You wouldn’t believe that it tastes like karag, but it’s very similar. I’ll let you guys see the midsection real quick. Take a look inside there, guys. Nice and tender. Mhm. It is very, very tender, very salty. It has a lot of flavor. You guys can see this next bite. I put a little bit of chili on it. Man, that has great flavor to show you guys this. Nice. It’s drenched. Mhm. And tartar sauce. That’s a shrimp. eat this chicken. The shrimp is still hot. Still dang hot. Yeah. I don’t know if you guys can see this. I’m going to try my best to show the camera. Of course, there’s chunks in this tartar sauce. That is so strange. I’ve never seen Usually back in back in America, the tarter sauce is just solid liquid. solid solidly liquid, but it’s it’s all one consistency. This has chunks of something in it, but it’s really tasty. [Music] That is what it looks like. It’s one bite into it. It’s a nice little cut. Looks pretty good. Yeah, it’s good stuff. She gave me 5% off. Yeah. She was like, “Do you have a discount card?” And I was like, “No, I’m not from here.” And she I I said at night, so I was like, “Oh, no. I don’t have one.” She’s like, “Okay, do you want Okay, thank you.” Wow. I’m telling you, the people in Japan, they are unmatched. They’re so nice. Chad, I have I have better taste buds. No, I’m good. Good luck. Not every place out of the You guys will see this. That actually looks really good. Shepherd’s pie. Oh my god. Oh, it has like a a sock stitch. Sock still sock. It’s very sweet. Sock. Yeah, it’s almost like It almost is like curry actually. To the teeth, to the gums. You guys know what I say. It’s not the worst thing I’ve ever put in my mouth. No. No. It’s not the worst thing I’ve ever put in my mouth. It’s not your favorite. It’s just not my favorite. I will say the nicest thing you could say. I will say the potatoes are very It’s just overdone and it tastes like the sausage or whatever kind of protein that they have is also overdone. It’s just very tough. It’s very chewy. That that swallow actually almost felt like I didn’t chew through it all the way. Like every time I chewed down, it would almost like reflect my teeth. It was very strange. But I saw like nine people in here eating it when I walked in, so I thought, “Oh, it’s got to be good.” Nope. Those nine people just have awful taste buds. A lot of the food you see us dry here in Japan were like, “Oh, nine out of 10. 10 out of 10. Eight out of 10.” We rate it so highly, but it’s because most of the food we’ve eaten here so far actually is very good. It’s always excellent. be giving those fake Google scores. Yeah, we’re not afraid to say, “Oh, this is not this is not that good.” It’s not that good. So, some things you try here are just not that good. You know, Mhm. I’m going to be honest. I really, really enjoy this type of weight. A little half flat. Look, it’s It is a half flat. You guys can see. Don’t look at my nasty nails. Look at the wing. Oh my. It’s excellent. And as chips go, [Music] delish through each one I’ve had. Mhm. Let’s try this. [Music] Look. You’re just supposed to one bite it. Really? You’re supposed to put the whole thing in and just rip it straight. Rip it straight. Yep. That’s how you eat that wing, guys. The sauce that’s on them is not traditional American buffalo. I will say that it’s sweeter. It almost has a pepperc corn flavor to it at this pub specifically. But yeah, something you guys should know, if you’ve not already noticed in our 6 day trip of Japan or whatever, you should know that when you come to Japan, they don’t give you napkins. Be careful. The same is true whenever you use a public restroom here in Japan, no paper towels, no hand dryers, no nothing. So, you either do the shake and dry while you walk with it or you have to bring your own paper towels or or towel or something with you to the bathroom. Just a little. So, it’s crazy, right? Like, they have the most modern city and the most amazing on the planet. No, that’s I mean, it’s probably because they don’t want trash to have trash everywhere. I mean, if the roads in our cities in America were half as clean as Japan’s roads, I mean, oh my gosh, those are potato wedges, bro. I got to get one more of those ice cream. It’s my favorite ice cream on the planet, dude. That Maji ice cream. I’m going to show you guys back at the hotel. I’m not going to eat it on camera, but I’m going to show you exactly what you need to get from 7-Eleven. I don’t care if every other review is like, “Skip this, get this instead.” Don’t listen to that. Don’t listen to that. Listen to me. Listen, as somebody who is barely fitting into these clothes right now, you can fit the guy. You can you can definitely take it from the guy who who you would think knows a lot about food. That’s what I say. I’m like, you can trust a fat girl because you know I eat. Yeah. Don’t don’t trust them skinnies. I eat. Don’t trust diet. Don’t trust them skinnies. I’m sure great food taste, y’all. I’m sure they do have great food taste. I’ve had double the amount of food in like half the amount of time of their life. I enjoy just eating with my family. It doesn’t matter. Unless it’s noodles and then he doesn’t enjoy eating with that. I struggle with a lie to you. And then it’s And then it’s I am the family. When we get back to the hotel, I have two of them in the fridge in our hotel room that I need to show you guys. They’re the exact same. But and you guys might you guys might be upset because it is just vanilla, but they have a chocolate version at 7-Eleven as well. But I think the vanilla version is just top tier. It’s perfect. It’s excellent. And again, I’ll show you guys whenever it comes around. Thank you very much. Our server just came and she took all the food off the table. Except for this. She thinks I’m still going to eat this, but I’m not. No, I wouldn’t give this to my dog. It’s just not her favorite. She’s trying to be nice. Sometimes she gets a little straightforward. We should take this back to the dog cafe. Those dogs would love this. They would tear this up so hard. Anyways, yeah, the food here was amazing. The staff was also amazing. They were super great. I uh I actually wanted to say that I really like the atmosphere here. I know I kind of mentioned it earlier in the video, but it’s kind of like an English/British vibe here. Library. What it kind of feels like is that um you can kind of cut loose, not have to be so quiet when you’re trying to eat. Um there’s no real utensils they brought to the table at all whatsoever. So it’s understood that your fingers are going to be your utensil. There’s chopsticks right there. Oh. Oh, I didn’t even register. Yep. We saved the we saved the new half treat, but we went from not using those chopsticks. But we weren’t going to use our chopsticks to eat our shrimp or our chicken. So yeah, that doesn’t make any sense. I’m going to finish off the rest of this basket of fries. Yo, look at this. Perfect. And yeah, you guys will see us either whenever we were inside Yoda for the last time or back in the hotel room. Just kidding. Can’t do it. We’re just recording me eating. It’s like a flat piece of metal. I can try it. Okay, see you back at the hotel. Yo, welcome back to the hotel. I know today’s been pretty packed. Actually, today was more of just like one of those days that uh you just run around. You’re trying to get last minute gifts for everybody, trying to figure everything out before we go to a very special place tomorrow. Cuz again, as you guys have been hearing throughout all of today’s vlog, today’s the last day in Japan, man. I’m not I’m not very stoked about design. How you feeling? Cry cry every day. Cry cry every single waking moment. Yo, no. No, it’s it’s a struggle cuz we don’t want to leave. This is a beautiful place, a beautiful country, and it’s treated us so well and we’ve had so much fun. I’ve definitely made a lot of memories here. So, it’s just such a good place and we’ve shot tons of footage for you guys here and we hope that you’ve enjoyed all the content that you’ve seen from us in Kyoto, Japan. If you have, make sure to go down below and hit that like button, press the subscribe button, and while you’re at it, uh, press the bell notification sign. It really helps us out. Yeah. I mean, it’s been a blast, man. It’s been a blast. If I can leave it off on one note. My uh one of my buddies, he did tell me one time to always live in the moment because one day you’re going to go on a trip like this and you’re not going to think too much of it and you think that you’ll be having fun and then 6 or 8 months later you’ll think back and you won’t be able to remember all of it. So, whenever you do things like this y’all, make it special. Make it last. always be here present fully mentally because if you’re outside of your hotel room, you need to be making the most of it because you don’t live here. And until you do get some kind of visa or something that allows you to stay here for more than 90 days at a time, that’s all you got, man. We only came here for for a certain amount of time and now we’re heading to, like I said, a special place tomorrow. It’s going to be about a 5 hour plane ride. So, I don’t know if we’re going to record all that, but man, I’m not ready to get back on that plane, man. No. Kyoto has been a has been a wicked ride, man. I I’m so happy to be here. I’m so sad that I have to leave now. But anything else, man? Anything that you’d like to add to the end of the vlog. Thank you, Kyoto, for everything, all the memories. Appreciate it. I mean, we’ll very likely come back here one day, but for now, this is the end of our journey and Kyoto. And yeah, thank you to all of you who watched till the end of the video. We thank you so much for watching. And uh thank you to anybody that we met in Kyoto that subscribed to our YouTube channel. If you are watching this video right now, we thank you very much for coming along the ride with us and being part of our journey. And uh yeah, that about wraps it up for the Kyoto part of our vlog. Thank you so much for watching and we will see you next time. So, this is the ice cream that I was telling you guys about. Okay, thank you very much. Uh flip this camera around if if you want to read it, but it’s right there. Okay, like and subscribe. Bye. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music]
