聖徳太子建立七大寺の一つとされている日本仏法最初の官寺。
お盆の期間中に行われる万灯供養法要は約1万本のご先祖の霊名が記されたローソクに火が灯され、般若心経にあわせ僧侶が伽藍内を練り歩く姿はとても幻想的でした！

This is the first official Buddhist temple in Japan and is considered one of the seven great temples built by Prince Shotoku.
The Manto Kuyo ceremony, held during the Obon period, sees approximately 10,000 candles with the names of ancestors inscribed on them lit, and the sight of monks parading through the temple grounds to the tune of the Heart Sutra is truly magical!
