👉 Kyoto Day 5 | Hidden Café, Seiko Limited Edition & First Onsen Experience ⛩️⌚☕

Last breakfast at this hotel before we move on. Max’s gone for the Japanese style breakfast. Yes. Get 16 small plates. See, I like it a little bit more subtle and you like it strong. Yeah. Give me the strong stuff. The last drops. Thank you. Here’s our iconic design actually. But uh from this series, these ivory dials are the most popular. Yeah. Oh, so it’s heated to that. Heated. That’s correct. Exactly. So this is nice. Wow. This tree is around 300 years old. It’s known as the muku tree and it’s got beams just protecting it, ensuring that it stays up. That’s incredible. Someone looks excited. This coffee is amazing. Yeah, it’s good. I’ve already eaten some of this peach stuff, guys. Look, look, look, look. I’m not going to hide it. Look, look. I couldn’t wait. I had to cut straight into it. And it’s juicy. Not only is it juicy, they’ve whipped this peach cream in the middle. Soft cakey bit of pastry followed by this really nice biscuit bit at the bottom. And I’m eyeing up Viv’s cake, which is a peach cake. And I want to take that bite straight away. This is uh like significantly rare. 250 pieces globally. Incredible. This one very special watch and these two looked after me very very well. Pontoon. This is our Japanese style room at our second hotel in Kyoto. It is very cozy. This closes out as well. Complete privacy. Woohoo! Cool. So, Viv and I are going to try our very first onen experience. This one’s a public on, not private. So, in our hotel, there is an onset. It’s quite busy, but we’re going to have to go in naked. You ready for this? I guess so. But the good thing is it’s separated. It’s not um men and women. Men and women are separate, which is good. So, I’m getting a massage now after my onsen experience. And wow, this massage chair is incredible.

Our 5th day in Kyoto was packed with unforgettable moments 🇯🇵✨. We had our last breakfast at The Gate Hotel, shopped for premium Japanese green tea at Lupicia, and stopped by Kuoe Kyoto in search of the perfect Japanese watch. At Kyoto Gyoen National Park, we saw a 300-year-old tree 🌳 before finding Cocochi Café on Marutamachi-Dori — the iced coffee & seasonal peach tart were amazing.

Later, we visited the brand-new Seiko boutique in Kiyamachi and scored a 1 of 250 Seiko Prospex Limited Edition watch commemorating the upcoming World Athletics in Tokyo 2025. To end the day, we checked into Onyado Nono Kyoto, enjoyed our first Japanese-style room and experienced our very first onsen 🛁✨.

A perfect blend of Kyoto tradition, hidden gems, and once-in-a-lifetime finds.
