This was our second visit to Zao Onsen Ski Resort in 2025!
This season brought an abundance of snow, and we were able to enjoy powder snow every single day.
Zao Onsen Ski Resort, located in Yamagata Prefecture, is known as one of Japan’s largest and most renowned ski resorts.
In winter, the entire mountain turns pure white, and the sight of the frost-covered trees, known as “Snow Monsters,” is truly breathtaking.
With its vast slopes, the resort offers something for everyone, from beginners to advanced skiers, and the experience of skiing between the snow monsters is unique to Zao.
On clear days, the scenery is especially spectacular, making it a highly popular spot for photography as well!
