The President of the Slovak Republic
Peter Pellegrini has visited the Italy Pavilion at Expo 2025
Osaka on Slovakia’s National Day.

He was received by Ambassador Mario Vattani, the Commissioner
General for Italy at Expo 2025 Osaka.

“We are very happy to have welcomed President Pellegrini at the
Italy Pavilion”, said Vattani.

According to the Commissioner General, “Italy’s participation in
Expo 2025 has proven to be, month after month, a concrete and
effective tool of economic and cultural diplomacy, which has
also been able to strengthen bilateral relations with many of
our partners”.

President Pellegrini admired the Italy Pavilion’s offerings,
including culture, high technology, aerospace, life sciences and
innovation.

The visit also had personal meaning: the Slovak Head of State’s
great-grandfather hailed from the northern Italian region of
Trentino-Alto Adige – a connection with Italy he has repeatedly
mentioned.

The Italy Pavilion, one of the most appreciated and visited by
the Japanese and international public, has thus confirmed its
role as a window showcasing Italian excellence as well as a
meeting point and a place of dialogue between cultures and
nations.
