[2025 일본 여행] 기타큐슈 가성비 여행 – (유쿠하시, 히라오다이, 고쿠라, 모지코)

I suddenly feel like going on a trip, so I just went on Google Flights and looked up tickets to Kitakyushu It’s currently priced at 130,000 won, so I’m thinking about going in a week. I’ve already planned out my itinerary in one day. The final payment for the flight, two hotels, and a rental car is already 460,000 won. If I had stayed at a guesthouse, it would have been 20,000 won per night, but I’ve had bugs before so I can’t bear a guesthouse bed. Still, I’m looking at around 60,000 or 70,000 won per night for the hotel. I’ve also planned out my itinerary My total budget, including everything I’ve already paid, is 616,301 won Since I’m traveling solo, I’m hoping to get that low. Reasonably priced travel is the theme for this trip. Somehow, I managed to arrive in Yukuhashi. I feel like I came really unprepared. It’s really hot. It’s now 2:50. Compared to my original plan, I’m about 30 minutes late, which is a good thing. I had less to do than I thought so I decided to kill some time by eating meat udon earlier Oh, and it was quite a lot. For dinner, I was originally planning to eat at the famous Santoku Ramen Ekimae here, but I’m not sure if I’ll be hungry. Yes. I’d like to try the local specialty, miso sauce oden, so I’ll try to get there. Yes. It’s a local restaurant that’s been around for over 40 years. They say they only sell a limited number of bowls during lunch hours, and there’s a long line . What you see here is the oden pot they’re making. I ordered a set of two oden ramen for 750 yen, but they must have felt sorry for me and gave me an extra piece. There are many different types of oden, so you can choose Wow, the miso oden is seriously amazing The ramen has a rich broth, but it’s not too salty. It pairs really well with the miso oden. The noodles are unusually flat. Yes. Good morning. It’s 8:43. I couldn’t speak English, but I managed to rent a car without any problems. I’m going to drive to Hiraodai for about 25 minutes Toyota, the weather is amazing. I’m headed to Hiraodai, a mysterious natural wonder near Fukuoka, Japan. It’s about a 20-minute drive from Yukuhashi, making it easily accessible from Kitakyushu City. Little by little, a unique landscape begins to come into view in the distance. Hiraodai is considered one of Japan’s three major karst landforms, a truly unique place. Karst is simply a unique landform created by the erosion of limestone by wind and rain over a long period of time. Jagged stone pillars rise above the ground, and caves stretch out beneath the surface. This is the Senbutsu Cave parking lot. My first destination is Senbutsu Cave, a naturally formed underground palace . Senbutsu Cave is a representative limestone cave located deep within the Hiraodai karst landscape . The entrance fee is 1,000 yen. You can fully enjoy nature by walking the 1.8km round-trip, paved trail . Upon reaching the entrance, you’ll feel a refreshing, cool breeze, a stark contrast to the outside world. Uniquely, Senbutsu Cave has a constant flow of water, about ankle-deep . The cool sound of the trickling groundwater envelops the entire cave, adding to its peaceful, mystical atmosphere. The water is particularly cold, even in midsummer, so the coolness will spread through your toes as you walk. For a comfortable walk, it’s a good idea to bring slippers and a towel. Even if you don’t have any, you can rent them for free at the entrance . We just finished Sanbutsu Cave. Where should we go now? I’m going to a shaded area to grab some rice balls I bought at the convenience store yesterday . My bag is a little full, so I ‘ll grab some and head out. Today’s leisurely stroll is a bit of a challenge. Fortunately , the clouds are quite thick, and the weather is quite pleasant. It’s nice. I just wish it hadn’t rained, but there was no rain in the forecast. Looking at it, 1.3 km by 0.9 km is 2.2 km, a total of 4.4 km. Hmm. I think about 2-2 hours should be enough. Wow. I think I should take the left at this fork . But the grass is so bad , I can’t go. I would have gone if I was wearing long pants. I won’t go because I’m wearing shorts . I should have come here first, but I just went straight to the cave and ended up here, right? They say it’s been there since 938 AD. It’s here now. I’ve been here before, and here, and here, and it’s 11:30. It’s Senganbawi Slab, but now it’s time to go down. Two and a half hours passed too quickly, so I’m going to stop by Don Quijote, where my friend asked me to buy something, since I have a car . I’ll get to Don Quijote and come back. It’s 3:00 on the second day. We left the hotel at around 8:25 in the morning and returned after about 7, 7 hours. I was originally supposed to return the car at 5:30, but it was so hot and my shorts were a bit long. I figured I’d be climbing a bit too much, so I canceled the entire trekking route . I had more time than I thought, so I went to Don Quijote to buy some things . I also had zaru udon for lunch, which wasn’t on my itinerary. I just got back to my room. I was wondering what to do with some time left, and since I returned the car early, they gave me a discount of about 4,000 won, down from the original 6,200 yen to 5,800 yen . That was great. I was able to see Hiraida, my main destination. It was really nice. It said I could come back when the weather was better to enjoy the trekking route and climb some other spots, so I’m going to convince my friends to come back. On the right is Kaikyu Plaza, which I ‘ve heard is a good place to buy souvenirs. The entire walk is a bit windy, like the Metrowalk . Kaikyu Plaza Kogura is complete. I originally got a room on the third floor, but the sheets were so dirty that I asked them to just change them, and they actually changed my room. I’m on the seventh floor now , so I can see the entire station. I can even see all the people at the station. I got a really great room for people watching. It’s currently 3:49 . The hotel says they’re serving dinner today, so they’re serving both dinner and breakfast. So I’m thinking about eating there. The hotel is really close to the station, so it’s about a one or two-minute walk. Both breakfast and dinner are free. It’s unusual that there are a ton of comics on the first floor, and it says you can bring ten volumes to read. It’s in Japanese, so I can’t read it, though.
