ATIA Member Story Deep Dive in Fukushima
What do they get out of the night? We’ve entered into a partnership with Fukushima to promote a destination that really isn’t that well known in Australia. Many of our members were in attendance from large to small. Independents were there. Many snow focused businesses in attendance as well. One of my big takeaways was that how empty the slopes are. Someone told me that their clients have been returning back to Australia having complained about how busy it was. So that’s probably the solution for you might be the slopes of Fukushima. We’re going to see you on the slopes. That is a new one for me. Woodfired pizza on the slopes. I am not a skier, but what I did learn is that you can get your woodfired pizza at the top of the slope, thereby meaning that I can go to the top of the slope and I don’t have to ski down, but I can still get my sir.
Fukushima: Japan’s best-kept secret? 🎿🍕😅
ATIA has partnered with Fukushima to shine a spotlight on this lesser-known gem, and our members are already discovering its unique charm.
From crowd-free ski slopes to wood-fired pizza at the top of the mountain (yes, really!), Fukushima offers something truly special for snow lovers and foodies alike. 🤣 ⛄
If your clients are craving a different kind of Japan trip — this might just be the destination to recommend.
