THIS Happens When You Visit JAPAN?🇯🇵

[Music] What’s up, Flash Squad? In this video, we’re going to talk about my first impressions in the city of Tokyo, Japan. [Music] All right, vibes upon arrival. Upon touching down at the airport and walking off the plane, people were very friendly and welcoming, offering free gifts as I walk up the jetway. Initially, I see it’s a pretty cloudy day out here, but inside a very clean environment as I walk through the airport and not very crowded at all as it seems I arrived at a pretty good time during the day. All right, guys. Just arrived here. Bag is clean. About to pick up my bags. Let’s go. [Music] All right, let’s go. All right, now that they got my bags, get some money. Currency exchange. They do have currency exchange place here. So, I’m going to go ahead and exchange some money. Currently, the exchange rate here at the airport is 138 Japanese yen to $1. And I seen that the online price is about 150. So, I’m just going to exchange 100 just to get me into the city. Let’s go. The employees have excellent customer service here. Quick and efficient. Thank you for asking 100 Japanese and they don’t charge commission fee when exchanging money into the local currency. Thank you. Nobody got us. All right, got some money exchange. So now I’m going to head down to the Montreal right this way. [Music] And this is one of the easy ways to get into the city as well. I’m not sure about the bus route. So, I’m going to try the train routes. So, yeah, I might need some uh information just to make sure I’m going the right way. Finish what? Uh I’m trying to go to uh Yeah. Which way do I go? I go downstairs. Okay. Okay. So, going the right way. have to go downstairs. This is one of the fastest ways to get to my destination. Takes about 46 minutes. They do have Uber here, but when I looked at the Uber, it looked like about uh $33 to $40. So, you’re not going to take that route when the train is just about $5. So, here are the areas where you need to buy ticket. Excuse me. Hi. I mean you are uh trying to buy a ticket for the monor rail trying to go to uh uh so how do I do that like I pay with cash or nothing card I have cash you can select pay with card station so please be adjustment when to get off the your destination. Please guide us. I was pleased to see that anytime I needed help or a question to be answered, someone was nearby to help me with that. Train go to the mita station. Okay, got my ticket here for the train. Let’s see what happens. First time here. Okay, I get it again. Okay. All right. Got through the gate. Headed down to the train. Hang on. A little confused in getting the train ticket, but luckily people are very friendly, helpful, no more. I’m going the right way. We’ll see you in a minute though. I got the match me. I am on the right train. Should take about 46 minutes. From what I can see out the train window, the landscape looks pretty condensed and like cookie cutter apartments, but very well organized and structured. And looking at the streets, it doesn’t seem like it’s much traffic here. But I don’t know. We’ll see pretty soon. I’m guessing most people just prefer to take the train. Oh, no. [Music] Not this. Thank you. Let’s go. Exiting the subway. I see it’s a little chilly today, so good thing I brought my jacket. And luckily, not too far of a walk to my apartment. All right, guys. I’m headed to Airbnb. Let’s check it out. [Music] As I enter my Airbnb, I must say the pictures did not do it justice. It looks a lot smaller than it did on the Airbnb website. Uh, not much space to walk around in here, but at the same time have all the amenities needed, I guess, like shower, which is kind of a little compact for my taste. Barely move to turn around, but also has a bathroom with a smart toilet. Yeah, I think that’s pretty cool. Not too much else though. I mean, pretty nice size bed and work desk, flat screen TV, air conditioning unit. Yeah. Not much walking around. Not much to walk around up in here. You see the picture? That’s what it is, man. I guess it has everything I need like microwave, toaster oven, refrigerator, even a hot kettle along with an electric hot top stove and old school foam. I ain’t seen one of these in a while. I guess it’s all I need. Let’s see how it goes. Yeah, very minimalist style apartment. Small space, but we going to make it work. That’s what it is. Airbnb, Tokyo, Japan. Let’s get outside. All right, so somebody that I met earlier recommended I try this place called Pepper Parlor. So, we’re going to do that right now. Let’s go. As I hit the streets, it’s not too far from the subway. So, I head over and try to find this restaurant and check out some of the cool sites as I go along through Tokyo, which in this part of town, I can definitely see it’s where the party’s at. [Music] Okay, we’re here at Pepper Parlor. This is a restaurant where robot waiters service and entertain you while enjoying your meal. Okay, thank you. Thank you. I have to follow the robot to the table. It’s my waiter. It’s my waiter right here. Hey, how you doing? She was English. This is insane. [Music] They got the traditional Japanese beer. [Music] Close. Okay, so here we have some ramen and pork. Let’s go in and pork. What do you enjoy making with those ingredients? Very nice gravy. Man, some good noodles right there. Some good news. That’s that drip right there, baby. It’s that drip. I’m feeling this right here. [Music] Yeah. Got me making a mess over here, but it’s so delicious. I love the gravy. Got to break out the spoon for this one. This that gravy, baby. That gravy. I don’t think I can go back to Roman noodles after this. This is way off the charts, man. [Music] So, I got to tell you guys the name of this. It’s called tonkatsu ramen. Oh my freaking god. This gravy is out of this world, man. Highly recommend you guys check this place out. Smashed it. Ain’t nothing left. Total came out to just 1990 Japanese yen. And that translates to all the men. $13.34 a banging bowl of ramen premium Japanese beer over here. All right, bro. It was nice to meet you. It’s nice to meet you, too. Nice meeting you, brother. Thank you. I hope you have a great day, too. So, that was my first impression of Tokyo, Japan. I hope you guys enjoyed.
