Pokémon Center Osaka DX tour
This is the Pokémon Center in Osaka. You got the Pokémon games. You got Pokémon plushes. You got people playing some of the arcade games. Lots and lots of Pikachu. The mascots for this particular Pokémon Center are the three legendary birds from the Kanto region. You got Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltrad. And looks like they’re doing more Pokémon. You can see here that they’ve got the Pokemon black and white Pokemon from the Aloha region more from every other region. Pikachu poker balls with Pikachu on them. Some trading card sleeves. full of stuff here. [Music] [Music] I want you. some guy.
If you are a Pokémon fan visiting Osaka, you are in luck because the city is home to two official Pokémon Centers. One of the most popular is the Pokémon Center in Shinsaibashi, located inside the PARCO building. This venue also has the added attraction of a dedicated Pokémon Café, making it a must-visit destination for both collectors and casual fans alike.
We visited on a Thursday during the Obon Festival, and despite it being a weekday the place was absolutely packed. The crowd seemed to be a mix of tourists and locals on holiday, which speaks to just how popular this spot is. The Shinsaibashi Pokémon Center is themed around the Legendary Kanto Birds—Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres—who take pride of place as its mascots.
Inside, you will find a wide range of official merchandise. From plush toys and stationery to seasonal items and products from the Pokémon Trading Card Game, there is something for fans of every generation. During our visit, the store was showcasing the newly released Pokémon Fit collection featuring the Alolan Pokémon from Sun and Moon, which seemed to be a huge hit with visitors.
Having been to both Pokémon Centers in Osaka, I felt that the Shinsaibashi store is a little smaller than the Pokémon Center Osaka in Umeda, at least if you do not count the additional space of the café. That said, it makes up for it with its vibrant atmosphere, themed displays, and the convenience of being located right in the heart of Shinsaibashi, a major shopping and entertainment district.
