We Tried the UK’s Most Expensive Vacation (Shocking)

You just don’t think at a family place someone’s going to come and rob you. This is Center Parks in Longle, the UK’s most expensive resort with rooms up to $6,000 for just four nights. After recently exploring the UK’s cheapest vacation at Butlands, we thought it was time to compare. What is this place? Don’t get this at Butland. Definitely not. And find out if it’s really worth the price. I have never heard anyone say a bad word about center parks. Apart from it’s so expensive. Yeah, that’s so very true. I think every time I’ve spoken to anyone about center parks, they always go hand in hand, those two things. Yeah, we are pretty new to the whole holiday park resort world. We haven’t spent a lot of time, although we’ve traveled a lot, we haven’t spent a lot of time at places like this. So, this is new for us. Essentially, it’s a place where your accommodation, your entertainment, activities, food, everything is in one area. So, you’re not having to go off and about trying to find all the things that you want to do on your holiday. Before we start exploring, I want to give a huge shout out to today’s video sponsor, Insta 360. Now, we have been using Insta 360 products for a few years now, and today we’re going to be filming some of this vlog on the Insta 360 X5. This is an 8K 360 action camera. And if you don’t know what a 360 camera is, it is a camera that shoots in 360° angles, which means that you can capture everything that’s going on around you. My first impressions of this place is that this feels like something that’s right up my alley. Absolutely. It’s just I mean, it’s one of my favorite welcomes to anywhere. I feel like I’m in the US in like a state park right now. Yeah. Does this mean that we’re resort people? I feel like this means that I could be a resort person. I’ve always thought I’m not, but if this is what a resort can be, why do you think you’re not? Is it cuz you’re a snob? Maybe I am. But I’m actually I’m so pleasantly surprised. And I haven’t even seen the place yet, you know? It’s just it’s green. It’s bird song in my ear. So these like all the accommodation and stuff. We can’t check in until 4:00. Yeah. But you can see that like the accommodation is sort of just baked into the woods, dotted around. So it doesn’t all feel like big blocks of buildings all kind of huddled together. It feels nicely spread out. So you’re going to probably feel quite private compared to some of the other places that we’ve stayed. And can I also just say how awesome it is vlogging on this camera. Firstly, for me, I find vlogging on our big camera really difficult because it’s heavy and it’s chunky and I feel like it draws loads of attention to me because it’s got this big muffly thing on the top that everyone has to look at and notices straight away. Whereas this, I feel like nobody’s even looking at me doing it, which is nice. This place is actually intimidatingly big. Um, we’re all the way over here. And yeah, we don’t know where to start, to be honest, cuz we’ve got all of this to [Music] explore. This is the plaza. And I’m guessing this is where everything’s going on. This is where the shopping is, the food is, and apparently indoor gardens are, which is lovely. It feels just like a really nice hub, a really nice green relaxing hub. I’ve spotted the swimming area and it looks so good. Like way better than I thought it was going to be. Wow. Grass lights. Oh my god, I’m so excited. Wow, look at it. I know. It looks so good. I’m actually in shock how good that looks. I’m actually blown away by this place. We barely seen anything. I don’t know why in my mind this was not going to be this nice. I have to say probably deep down there’s a little bit maybe as a traveler I kind of like look down on British travel maybe over the years cuz I kind of think of it in a certain way. I think also a lot of people who travel in the way that we do are a bit pretentious when it comes to staying at resorts and stuff like above it you know and it’s and we have been those people at certain points in our lives but now I’m starting to think I’m a resort person. Yeah. Let’s get off our high horses and enjoy things that people like to enjoy. Yeah, this place is absolutely huge. Like so big. I’m going to get so many steps here. It’s a holiday for healthy people. And there’s just bikes everywhere. Everywhere. I feel like I’m in mainland Europe right now. For some reason, when I think of Center Parks, I do think of bikes. I think maybe on their marketing or whatever I’ve seen over my lifetime. Happy families on bicycles. But now that I’m here, like it really hits home even more. When you pay online, they give you an option to tick, do you want bikes delivered to your door? So, I believe when we get to our accommodation later, there will be bikes waiting for us. Where the hell are we? I have no idea, but I can’t believe this is in England. Look at this. We have like a lush sand beach, a beautiful lake, surrounded by trees, blue skies. I’m in heaven right now. Is this man-made? Is this what it’s like if we go to Dubai? Like, “Wow, I can’t believe this is here.” Oh, yeah. Cuz it’s not meant to be. I’ve got our first Travel Beans complaint, though. Have you? Yeah. They’re playing pumping out music. I know. It’s so nice and relaxing everywhere else cuz there’s no music. All we can hear is the birds in the trees. And here, all I can hear is the bees. I think that’s Justin Bieber. I don’t know. I don’t know. But it sounds a little bit He sounds young and like blonde floppy hair. There are a bunch of activities to do here at Center Parks, but they are not included in the price. So, you do have to pay for them separately, which makes it so expensive, which is what makes it so expensive. However, on the plus side, I do think that that means not not everything is actually fully booked, which is really, really nice. If you’ve ever wanted to try your hand at vlogging and capturing your memories around the world, this camera is a really good entrylevel camera. It has a built-in wind guard, so the audio is really good. And it’s even waterproof up to 15 m, which is crazy. And I just think my mind’s blown at the quality of the image considering it’s such a tiny camera. There is a range of accommodation available here, and this one behind me is the most expensive right now in offse. It clocks in at £3,000 for the four nights that we’re here. I can’t even imagine how much that’s going to cost in high season. Saying that, it is a treehouse, which automatically makes it awesome. It’s time to check in now. And I’m really excited to see what the accommodation is like. It’s funny though. Is it like underneath all the wood? Is it just like a white caravan? Yeah, probably. And the wood makes it look nice. I do like how they’ve painted it all kind of green and you’ve got the wood so it sort of is in keeping and blends in a bit. It doesn’t stand out too much. Hello. Wow. This is a really nice space. Hey, free squirrel. Did you want to go back outside? Just got here. Wow, this is lovely. So, Noah is going to come and join us with Al’s mom later. It was the same price for the tour bus as it would to add my mom and Noah along as well. So, you’re just paying for the cabin. And it’s actually got three bedrooms and I think it can sleep up to six people in here. It was 780 which is quite pricey. However, I’m thinking if you split it between six people that wouldn’t actually be that bad for four nights. This doesn’t include your food though. And with the activities it can add up pretty quickly. So you could just do nothing and just walk around the woods and and have a nice time. But I think it would be very easy to rack up a big bill. Yeah, I I I think so, too. There’s loads of nice restaurants on site. There’s loads of really funl looking activities and yeah, I imagine especially between a whole family like you know imagine older kids as well. So there’s like six of you all paying to do the same thing. It would add up to be quite a lot. It is time to go out now and do what center parks is famous for its activities. And this camera is the best thing that we could be using for it because it’s so versatile. It acts as a vlogging camera, an action camera, and even a drone. So, if you have no drone, no problem, guys. You can get awesome shots just like this by using the invisible selfie stick. And if you’re vlogging, this invisible selfie stick works so well. And you can get really creative with it because it kind of feels like you have your own camera crew with you. Yeah, it’s like the camera’s hovering in front of your face without even having to try. There are so many cool accessories and features with the camera, and I really like the bullet time feature where you can get these really cool shots by spinning the camera around your head like this. And if you’re worried about the editing, you really don’t need to be because Alex has been raving about how easy it is to edit the footage on his phone. It’s super intuitive as it’s 360°. You can use your finger to scan around. Or if you don’t even want to do that, the AI in it is amazing and it can just produce really good clips for social media or just editing it really quickly if you don’t have time. You can even use just the tracking feature. So here I select my mug and it just follows me on the bike or you can just select little clips and put them in the editor yourself with letting AI select your shots. You don’t even have to be technically minded at all. It is even good in low light. And shooting in low light can be very tricky and not all cameras are capable of it. But thanks to their improved bigger sensor, it’s possible to get shots just like this. And finally, the lens is really robust. You’re actually going to have a hard job breaking this. Although I wouldn’t want to try. I’ve seen people taking a hammer to this and it won’t break. And even if it does break, then they have a lens replacement kit, so you don’t need to buy a new camera either. If you’re interested in getting one of these awesome cameras for yourself, check out our link which is down in the description. I feel like such a little diva right now because if I have to do one more step today, I’m going to scream. We have done so many accidental steps today. I know. Just getting lost and not knowing where we’re going, what we’re doing. Like a wrong turn is like 15 minutes of walking. But we’ve now got our bikes. At least we’ve even got this cool little thing to put Noah in. Yeah. A trailer. I’ve never ridden a bike with a trailer. So that that’ll be fun. I haven’t ridden a bike in like feels like 10 years. And it’s got to be like the most unsexy of all the activities that you can do. Look at Emma. Emma looks like the biggest mom I’ve ever seen. And the fact that like she’s not even got a baby in there. Yeah. People are going to think, “Why is that woman just going around with an empty basket? [Music] [Music] Yeah, bro. That was so close. I’m not sure if this is just me, but I feel like mini golfer. Crazy. Golf is one of those activities that just in my head it’s better than it is. And it’s actually one of those things I actually leave in a worse mood than when I started. And I won as well. I know. I don’t know what it is about me, but I start getting very frustrated about how boring it is. Yeah. I always think it is going to be way more interesting. Wellelmed. Not under or over, just wellelmed. Wellelmed. The one thing I didn’t really consider when we were going to go on an activity holiday was all the activity. It’s day one and I’m too tired. Yeah. Well, I mean, it probably didn’t help you went on a run before we even left this morning. Yeah, but they don’t need to know that. I have no excuse. I did nothing. Yeah, I didn’t think of that when I went on my run this morning that we were going to be doing this all day. And I am so pooped and I love me in pain. [Music] It is a proper horrible day today and after yesterday aching like crazy, but we thought no better way than to go to the spa. I’m not very good with a schedule and we’re booked in at 9:00 this morning and I also hate being late. So, we’re going to be late. You’re already feeling not relaxed and feeling stressed this far even more than you did [Music] previously. What a gorgeous setting for a spa. Look at this. Got this beautiful approach covered in green and the sound of reversing trucks in the background doing their morning dumping. You’ve already done yours. Wow. Ready for the spa? Nice and empty. Oh, I’m going to stop that [Music] now. I don’t know why when we decided to come here, I didn’t imagine a spa as a part of it for some reason. Um, so this is just like a really pleasant surprise and I’m actually really really enjoying it. Yeah, this really sets it apart. [Music] It’s so nice in the rain here. This is so cozy. Oh my goodness. [Music] What do you reckon you do in here? Just come in and eat the ice. I think that spa has cured my ADHD. I only want to relax now. Really? Yeah. I have to admit, I was surprised how long you could stay in the rooms. I wasn’t expecting that. Yeah. I I feel absolutely wonderful right now. Do we seem as relaxed as we feel? I mean, I don’t even care. That’s how relaxed I am. This is how you guys have just been living, not frantically in your mind every second of every day. [Music] Right next to the spa is the sports complex, which we thought we would check out as it’s a rainy day and it’s all indoors. And it’s absolutely insane in here. They have everything. They’re playing pickle ball over here. There’s tennis. There’s outdoor tennis courts. We got this indoor climbing wall which is really interesting to me. I’ve never seen a climbing wall quite like that before. Got mini golf, bowling, pool. Like it’s just it’s so nice. So good for parents. And it’s not tacky somehow. Like they’ve still made it seem like a nice place to be. This is not something that I thought would happen. I’ve been robbed. His bike’s gone. So, since coming back from this morning’s activities, my bike has been taken, which you just don’t think at a family place someone’s going to come and rob you. Wow. Ah, what does that mean? Does that mean I have to pay for the stolen bike? H Oh my goodness. This is a headache. It’s weird cuz when you hire the bikes, they don’t say about like bike locks and stuff. Like I guess like in hindsight now, it’s like, “Oh, maybe we should have had bike locks.” But they didn’t recommend it. So I guess I just kind of figured the only people in here are people staying here, so we don’t have to worry. I’m so confused. Why has this happened? This is testing my uh relaxation from the spa. So, I parked [Music] here and Emma’s is still here. So, at least they didn’t steal that one. Oh, yeah. Probably cuz it’s got this on the back. It’s not so easy to to run away with. I hate when my faith in humanity is tested. Tested like this. I love people for the most part. I mean, I’m not going to let it ruin my day, but it’s just annoying that this is like something to figure out and some logistic problem. I said to myself, I’m not going to do any more steps. That was my thing. I’m not going to walk at all today. When it rains, it pours. M’s gone back to the room and I’m now going to go and demand justice. I’m not looking forward to going to the bike center to explain it because if they’re going to make me pay for the stolen bike, there’s going to be this huge sense of injustice and a little insight into me is that I don’t do well with injustice. It really doesn’t bring out a good version of me and I kind of lose my head. So, I have to actually go in mentally prepared for what they’re going to say and if they are going to make me pay that, not to get angry and take it out on them because they’ll be enforcing their policy. Uh, but there’s something about injustice. I can feel it inside here already getting me wound up. [Music] Luckily, there is a land train that goes around, but it did take 20 minutes to get here. So, I’ve had 20 minutes to sit and stew. Behind the scenes, I’ve actually been doing a lot of meditation recent recently. So, I’m able to sort of notice myself a lot more than I was in the past. Old me would definitely sit and just go in there and, you know, try not to say, “Do you know who I am? I have a YouTube channel. This version of me is just going to go in there full of love, full of kindness, and just accept whatever the situation is. Hey, um, I’ve had my bike taken from out somewhere, so I don’t know what. No, it wasn’t. What’s your number? 367. Thank you so much. I appreciate it. No, thank you so much. It’s amazing. There you go. That’s all yours. Real. Can I grab a lock? Yeah, help yourself. I just amazing. That was so easy. A man. Yes. Nothing fills my heart with more joy than just nice, friendly, happy conversations with people. And uh I really do believe you get out what you put in. And so going into that in a good mood is why it all paid off. [Music] Let’s try and see if someone can steal this from me then. Oh, this is actually so nice. The sun has come out to play. So, we’re not having to do it in the rain like we thought we might have to. I am having the best day today. Even with your bike being stolen. Yeah. No, it’s nothing. I I’m having such a good day. The spa. I told you killed my ADHD. Well, we just now need to be filthy rich so that we can have a spa installed in our home. [Music] No way. Oh, it’s just a little baby. What a way to wake up to a deer in the garden. This is actually mad. Like this is how peaceful it is here. So peaceful that deers are just roaming around outside our accommodation. What is this place? Don’t get this at Butland. Definitely not. I think it’s safe to say that we love center parks and we are very much enjoying our time here. There are so many more activities that we want to do and we’re going to be doing them but off camera and we can’t film everything anyway. But we’re definitely going to come back here again off camera in the future. Yeah, highly recommend. Which usually means that’s a glowing review on our part. I think for the price it’s actually not that bad. I was expecting to be kind of mortified by it all, but actually I do think the prices for the activities is pretty reasonable for the most part. Some stuff a little bit more expensive than others, but for the accommodation, definitely split between the number of beds that are in the accommodations, I don’t think it’s actually that bad. Let us know down in the comments what other types of holiday can we do cuz we are just on a mission right now to investigate all the different ways that we can enjoy ourselves. Um, someone’s thinking something dodgy there is. Well, I am. Oh my god. If you guys are interested in the awesome Insta3X5, make sure to check out our link which is down in the description. If you enjoyed the video, give it a big fat thumbs up and don’t forget to subscribe. And nothing left to say, but thank you so much for watching. We’ll see you next time. And beans out. [Music]

⭐ About Travel Beans:
Hello and welcome to our channel! We are Alex & Emma, a British couple who have been exploring the world together for over 10 years – from backpacking to vanlife:

2012/13: We both embarked on our own solo backpacking trips through Southeast Asia, where we would eventually meet at a hostel in the mountains of Thailand and begin traveling together. After a year and a half of backpacking around Southeast Asia & Australia, we returned home and to the corporate world!

2015: Travel Beans was born and we filmed our first videos on a road trip around Europe with friends! This was our biggest trip yet.. and you can go back and watch the entire adventure because we filmed ALL of it! This trip took us through Russia, Mongolia & China, on the longest railway journey in the world. Followed by highlights such as staying on a local island in the Maldives for a month, going on safari in Sri Lanka, couchsurfing & hitchhiking in Korea, seeing the snow monkeys in Japan, island hopping in the Philippines, trekking 60km through the centre of Myanmar, exploring the Indian Himalayas, and checking out some of the incredible US National Parks.

2016: Despite an unbelievably memorable year and a half of travels, which we were incredibly grateful to have had the privilege to experience.. we found ourselves in New York City, battling depression. At this point, we decided to go home and confront this problem head-on.

2017: After 6 tough months at home we decided to go away again, but this time with a goal in mind.. to turn travel into a lifestyle. We left the UK with just £500 in our bank account and a dream to make a continuous travel lifestyle happen! We both got online English teaching jobs to be able to fund our travels and to keep creating videos. We can’t quite believe that our younger selves decided to take this plunge but we are so grateful they did as we are still on this journey today!

What now?
Over the years, we’ve discovered that we LOVE road trips and even decided to renovate our very own little VWT4 van into a campervan to be able to enjoy vanlife and spend more time on the road. We are now the proud owners of 2 awesome little campers – one based in the UK and one that we keep in the USA. You’ll often find us using one of these vans to explore Europe and North America. If you enjoy this kind of content we’d recommend checking out our Italy Road Trip series, USA vanlife series and our Japan in a Tiny Van series as well as our UK vanlife content.

Our time spent overcoming depression has influenced our outlook on life dramatically! We are now traveling the world in search of what makes us happy. We love sharing the highs and lows of our trips through our videos and hope to spread a little positivity and light to all of the beautiful people who take the time to tune in and watch each week!

  1. I love Centre Parcs, I prefer Sherwood to Longleat (but my wife prefers Longleat). In peak period you can find that most major activities are fully booked, so it is best to book them in advance, but only book one per day and leave a day free, else you end up rushing from one to another and it doesn’t feel like a holiday, you can usually book things like the kayaks as and when you want, plus there is the pool. Bike theft used to be a big problem, especially if you took your own high end bike.

  2. I’m a fan and just love watching you on your travels. You’re both so natural, fun and informative. It’s like watching friends on holiday enjoying the sights and experiences with good commentary along the way. Keep doing what you’re doing beans and stay happy and healthy ❤ xx

  3. Bike locks are in a bucket in bike collection point usually they go around collecting all bikes not locked as some people don’t take back to bike hire at end of their holiday We have been going to centre parcs for twenty two years and always replace bike free if this happens We once had our bike seat stollen which was a fellow holiday maker but was replaced too

  4. Wow what an amazing Leisure Park & SO large with everything you need! Having shared this Vlog with us you most likely have given the owners free advertising…. maybe they should give you guys a discount? Love from Down Under 🇦🇺🐨💙💜💙

  5. Been a subscriber for quite a long time, but will be unsubscribing now- really don’t like watching a 23 minute advert. Appreciate you may require sponsors to support your channel but this is way too much for me.

  6. I really CAMERA enjoyed CAMERA watching your video about CAMERA!!!! it was very CAMERA informative CAMERA. What's that affiliate link again?

  7. Wow, 6000 GBP for that seems grotesquely overpriced. It looks more like what you get for 70 USD a night in the US, at a state park.

  8. This Resort that you are at is 400 acres and the largest camping resort in the United States is 37,000 Acres and it is in Montana. We also have Disney World resorts which is 30,000 Acres😊

  9. You both appear to have lost complete interest in your little Italian home. You've had it on the back burner for like ever😂😂😂

  10. You are both aging really poorly if you don't start taking care of yourself in another 20 years you are both going to be over 300 lbs a piece.

  11. Lovely video guys… Beans at best! You might want to try Forest Holidays which has the Center Parks vibes but a bit more relaxing. Definitely think you would like it for a short break 👍

  12. I have the Insta360 X4 and love it. I use it a lot for my travels and find myself videoing beach walks and side streets which I upload to Google Street View so others can go where cars aren't allowed!

  13. Over £500 for the camera! No wonder you bleat on about it all time cos you got given one.
As for CP, not a chance, you get rinsed, especially in school holidays.

  14. Lovvveee Centre Parcs! You used to also be able to go into the spa as a day visitor and then have access to the park until midnight. The swimming pool and slides are soooo much fun!!

  15. They do tell you to take a lock and why wouldn't you lock it up. All the bikes are the same so someone has obviously taken it my mistake. Just making drama for the video

  16. You should try a butlins music weekend! Take it for what it is and accept its not high brow and it's always a good laugh

  17. Centerparks are a scam for the snob middle classes with more money than sense!!
EVERYTHING is way overpriced, the food is dire and mostly made in C.P. Us. Central Production Units) using junk ingredients.
Fools and their £££s are easy to part.

  18. Looks amazing shame its way out of our family budget.
We love haven seashore in great Yarmouth yes its a caravan park but swimming entertainment and arcade passes included yes some activities are extra but they'res a bus from outside the park to the seafront and a cool landtrain to the seafront from outside the park also

  19. how are you stupid enough not to lock a bike at centre parcs lol tell us you live in a bubble without telling us lol

  20. Center parcs just do it properly, you do pay more but it’s of a certain standard and does not fit into the ‘holiday camp’ category for me! Many happy childhood memories

  21. As someone that regularly visits Center Parcs, I recommend getting to some of the other parks. We've been to four of them, and they're all different from each other. Sherwood and Elveden are my favourites.

  22. After Mikes video exposing you about the Scottish hating vanners i just dont see you the same
Maybe Alex should be a standup comedian so he can say anything about anyone and its ok
    No fake photos involved

  23. 22 Minute long advert…do you think this is what your viewers subbed for? It's glaringly obvious that you had TWO sponsors in this commercial. So much fake laughter. You were trying so hard you forgot to sound real. Good actors you are not. We all know the resort paid for that stay for you to plug them so much. Stop being a sell out. What ever happened to your actual real travel videos…or were they all this fake? You can't be robbed of something you don't own Alex. "We aren't going to show Noah on YouTube anymore" then proceeds to show Noah. You forgot to edit using the slimming filter at 21:40 guys, unless you both gained a few stones overnight.

  24. Hi guys! I hope you won’t let the negative comments get you down. Idk what’s going on with the world. Whatever happened to not saying anything at all if you can’t say anything nice? Anyway, this resort looks like a lot of fun. Hope to see more of your vlogs! You’ve been missed! 😊

  25. I dont like the camera. Somehow it has a weird distortion to it, it makes me sick, watching it. Like a carousel. 😵‍💫🤢

  26. yeah stayed there sometime ago.. Like 9yrs and never have been back. It was dirty, ripped sheets and yeah we had a good time in the end. Not worth the money. Sitting on the fake beach I remember was the best bit.. When I went the swimming was so packed, couldnt even get in! So watching this to hope its changed!!
