Nippon-Ham of Naoki Arizono infielder marked the first time he has hit the ball hard.

In the third inning, with one out and a runner on third base, he hit a timely single to left field off Tsurumasaki, the second pitcher for Rakuten who had just been replaced. In the fifth inning, with one out and runners on first and second base, he expanded his chances by hitting a single to right field, and in the seventh inning, he hit a single to right field off Shibata, the third pitcher.

Regarding his timely hit in the third inning, Arizono commented, “I hit a curveball. I had played against this opponent before in the farm team, so I had an idea of what to do. I’m glad I was able to make a good hit on the ball that came floating up.”

Arizono played in 75 games in Eastern League, batting .314 and hitting 16 Home Run. On the 13th, in a game against the Lotte Marines (ESCON), he recorded his first hit RBI in his 23rd at-bat as a professional.
