What kind of trouble? Getting a policy period? Or getting a decent policy with acceptable terms, conditions and premiums?
Ideally, a specialty collector automobile like this should never be insured by the big national insurance companies. They are not well equipped to deal with such cars and you’ll end up over paying for terrible coverage that will likely result in total loss of the vehicle for even minor claims. Allstate, Nationwide, State Farm, Farmers, USAA are barely adequate for disposable mass produced commodity type vehicles and are generally out of their depths for cars like this – their business is focused on mass appeal cars with easier to calculate actuarials.
You really want a specialty insurer like Hagerty or one of their competitors. They all have pros/ cons. Hagerty was the gold standard for decades but even they can be a pain sometimes. And specialty insurance usually comes with certain stipulations and limitations like minimum driver age, clean driving record, no daily driving to/from work/ school, and must be garaged overnight. If you don’t have a secure garage you really have no business owning a car like this anyhow.
