Documentary about Vasfije Krasniqi wins “Motivational” award in Japan

The documentary that brings to light the truth and pain of Kosovo during the war, with the story of sexual violence survivor Vasfije Krasniqi Goodman, has been awarded the “Motivational” award by the prestigious Japanese jury.
The project, carried out this year by Japanese public broadcaster NHK, was evaluated among over 200 competing projects.
Vasfije Krasniqi, who was part of the documentary, described this award not simply as a trophy, but as proof that Kosovo’s truth, pain and endurance can touch the international conscience when told with sincerity and courage.
“It is a special feeling when the truth of our pain reaches the heart of a country as far away as Japan. For me, it is an honor that my experience and words became part of this story that today encourages others to speak out. This award is dedicated to every silent voice, every wound that has not yet healed. I am deeply grateful for your tireless support over the years. Thank you for never leaving me alone on this journey,” Vasfije Krasniqi Goodman wrote on Facebook.
