🇯🇵 One-Day Izu Peninsula Coastal Drive 🏝️ Beach Hopping in Japan | Summer 2025

On a hot summer day,
I couldn’t resist the call of the sea in Izu. So I set off to circle the peninsula, visiting my favorite beaches. A full loop around the Izu Peninsula swimming at Kujuppama in the south
and Iwachi Beach in the west. We set off just after 5 a.m.It’s raining now But a typhoon has just passed,
so the weather should clear up. Entering the Tomei Expressway. Passing Hayakawa, the skies begin to clear. Atami Beach Line – closed due to high waves Taking the local road instead. From Yumigahama to Cape Irozaki, the coastline is quiet but full of charm. Having completed the loop,
heading toward Numazu.

🏖️♨️The Izu Peninsula is one of Japan’s most popular resort areas, known for its beautiful beaches, relaxing hot springs, and scenic views that have attracted visitors for generations.

🚗 Route: Atami → Atami Sun Beach → Nagahama Beach → Kujuppama Beach → Yumigahama Beach → Iwachi Beach → Suruga Bay → Numazu, Izu Peninsula, Japan

A one-day road trip around Japan’s beautiful Izu Peninsula!
I drove the entire coastal loop, stopping to swim at Kujuppama Beach in the south and Iwachi Beach in the west. Both are stunning spots with crystal-clear water.

Starting early from Kanagawa, I enjoyed a full day of coastal scenery, summer sunshine after a passing typhoon, and refreshing swims.
