Nagasaki 80 Years On

At this time 80 years ago, the world’s second atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki.

Through the A-bomb Museum and Peace Park, as well as several other initiatives, Nagasaki works to promote peace in the world and advocates to make sure Nagasaki is the last place to ever experience the horrors of an atomic bomb.

The city is beautiful and full of character and life, with one of the best night views in the world and a variety of famous local foods like chanpon and castella cakes.
