Highlights of Japan with EF Ultimate Break – Day 7: Riding the Bullet Train and Exploring Kyoto
Um, it was everything I wanted and more. It was the coolest freaking thing. Um, I cried about seven times. Good morning from the train station here in um, where are we? Hakone. It is day seven of EF Ultimate Breaks highlights of Japan trip. And today is super exciting because I get to check off one of my bucket list items, which is riding a bullet train in Japan. I’m so excited. We are here at the train station already. We are gathering um doing a little snack run before the train. I’m so excited. I think the technology of bullet trains is so cool. So, if you can’t tell by the smile on my face, I’m extremely excited. But more importantly, today we are heading to Kyoto. We had a lovely night here um here in Hakone. If you missed my last video, make sure you watch it. Um, it was fun. But today, we’re heading to Kyoto. So, it is about 9:15 in the morning. I believe our train’s around like 9:30, about an hour and a half, 2 hours to Kyoto. Um, we get there a little before noon and then we have a guided tour. Some free time for lunch. Not quite sure what we’re seeing today. I know there’s a temple. We’re not seeing the very famous shrine in Kyoto today. We’re going to that tomorrow. Um, but should be of a fun day. I’m excited. Tokyo was a lot of fun. Hakone was a lot of fun. I’m excited to see like another city um here in Japan and obviously ride the bullet train. So, I can’t wait. I’m going to take you along with me today and we’ll see what we get up to. Hello. We have made it to Kodo. Um we are here at Kio Miso Temple, which is a water temple. I’ll get into that in a minute. First, I want to talk about the bullet train. Um it was everything I wanted and more. It was the coolest freaking thing. Um, I cried about seven times. Nobody else seemed as excited as me. But, um, I just think that the engineerings and the physics behind it and to see the like little shape of the front of the bullet train was like so cool. And the best part, I thought I was like, we’re just going to get in one and um, ride it. No, one passes us every like even when we were standing at the train station, a couple passed us just standing there seeing it and hearing it go by. Crazy. And then um, when you’re on the train, one passes you about every like 15 minutes. So cool. 10 out of 10. Would recommend. That was worth that experience was worth this trip alone. But anyway, so after that, that was about two hours on the train. Then we got here to Keyoto. We had a quick pea stop, um, food stop. It’s like 3 a little after 3. So we got a guide to the temple, which was really good. And then we had about like an hour and a half of free time if you wanted more time to explore, take pictures of the temple. Me and a small little group got some ramen and some dumplings. It was so good. Um, yeah, great day. I mean, great food, great experience on the bullet train. So, after this, we have one more temple. And then we are checking into our new hotel where we are at for the next three nights here in Kyoto. And then we have an optional um thing that my tour director set up, which is karaoke. All you can drink karaoke. So, for like 6,000 yen um which is about $40. We are going to go do karaoke and you have unlimited drinks for 2 hours. And then I think there’s a club right by that we’re going to go to. So, should be a fun night. I’ll check in one more time later after the second temple. But so far, very good day. loving Kyoto. It’s beautiful here. Um, yeah. Real quick, forgot my mic. I’m going to wrap this up here. Hopefully, you can hear me. Um, the second temple we went to was really cool, but it was pretty rushed because they were closing um like right after we got there. So, super rushed tour, but it’s fine. It was cool. We still got to see it. Um, we got checked into our hotel, got a quick 7-Eleven dinner, and now we are here at World Ko for karaoke. Our 2 hours of free drinking starts in 25 minutes, so we’re going to kill some time and then we’re going clubbing. So, I’m going to wrap this up before I start cooking. Um, hopefully you enjoyed the day. Um, come back next week for more of Ko. Um, and thanks for watching. [Music] I’m the [Music] [Applause] scream. [Music] [Music]
