【Hiroshima】Traveling the beautiful prefecture in the west Japan
Hiroshima is located at the west side of Japan’s main island Ponchu. It has a beautiful city called Setonai. There are a lot of historical remains, beautiful shrines and temples. As you already know, Miaima is one of the most popular historical site of Hiroshima. The red tree standing still on the set is the most iconic shot of Hiroshima. Now the Hiroshima city has 1.2 million people the 10th popular city in Japan. Maybe you couldn’t believe once they were attacked by the atomic bomb if you visit here. But it is a fact we wouldn’t be able to avoid. I’m going to introduce you those historical remains. And of course, don’t forget those great dishes. This time, I spent two nights and three days at Hiroshima. At first, I started this trip from Onomichi City, a famous historical city located in east of Hiroshima. There are a lot of highlights I can’t wait to show you. Now let’s start our new trip. Bamos. This time I came here from Okama city at the east side of Onomichi. Okayama is also good. I’ll introduce you by the next video. This is in front of the JR Onomichi station. You can see the beautiful sea 1 minute from that station. Let’s get started the store right away. This is the Onomici main shopping street that has a nostalgic atmosphere and iconic sight of this beautiful city. Well, I found an old temple on the hill. Let’s go ahead. This is a kind of go around course of old temples. Onamichi has a lot of old temples and the number is 107. At first in the old ella there were not so many temples. In the hyam period about a thousand years ago on had became a kind of port town. A lot of traders and viewers had beame to visit this city and they built so many temples as a object of their faith. That’s the reason why there are so many temples in this city. We’re going to continue climbing the hill. It’s a bit hard for 45 years old man, but I won’t give it up. Finally, we could reach the top of this hill. In fact, we can get here by cable car called Sen Kojisan Ropeway. It costs 700 yen by lounge trip, but I definitely recommend climbing by your foot because Oh, I don’t need to explain the reason. Enjoy the great scenery reached by our hood. You might have seen a movie called Tokyo Monogatari directed by Ozu Yasuiro. You definitely remind those sceneries recorded in that wheel like this. The scenery from here is not so changed from the era of that film. I guess now let’s get back to the city. Onomici is called the cat city recently. They are grown by citizens of this city. They are so friendly to the people but giving them foods are prohibited. We work so hard today. Let’s have some beer at the Isakaya restaurant. Kai Onomichi is a port city, so it’s natural to choose the seafoods. I want to try another restaurant. Let’s enter Campai again. I won’t forget ordering the fried food. Excellent. You can’t forget drinking Japanese sake. Sabong, let’s finish the first day. Good night. Good morning. This morning we going to visit an island opposite from this city. It’s called Mukaiishima. That name means the opposite iron. You can take ferry from here. It costs only 100 yen. Amazing. The scenery from this ferry is so nice. You can get to that island only 5 minutes. Let’s walk around the Mukaiima. Nostalgic atmosphere. I found a shrine. It’s called Kamei Hachiman Shrine. It was built in 770 8th century. This island has a long history and culture from BC. I’m going to show you the another shrine. It’s called Itskushima Shrine. The same name as the one in Miaima. Actually, there are 500 of its Kushima shrine in Japan. And this is one of those. Miaima’s one is the head shrine of those ones. Now, let’s go back to the city. There are so many bicycles. This island is a start point of a bicycle route called Shimanami Kaido. You can get to Imabari city, Aheime Prefecture in Sikok Island. Crossing 50 irons between Onomage to Imabari by bicycle. It takes about 6 to 10 hours. The load has 70 kilometers. Anyway, let’s eat lunch here. You can’t leave here without eating onomic chi lmen. The flavor of soup is made from chicken’s bone, small fishes, and soy sauce. It creates a special harmony of Onomi Chi. Now, let’s move to the Hiroshima city. The sceneries from this normal train is a highlight of our trip. You can see many old houses with lead roof. It’s a feature of this east Hiroshima region. In winter, a lot of snow falls in this region. That lead roof is made by a material that protects those houses from snowfalls. Finally, we’ve arrived at Hiroshima City. In this city, you can take the tram called Hoden. It was established in 1910 in the era of M period. You can go anywhere at this city by this trunk. But my channel here is called walk around Japan. So let’s take a walk around. That is Hiroshima Castle built in 1589 by Mori Moari. That castle tower is going to be crossed in March of next year 2026. So now is the last chance to visit there. But actually I didn’t know that fact at that time. So I missed that chance. I’m terribly sorry because that day was too hot. I couldn’t read there. This building is I guess I don’t need to explain. You can shift the Hey, hey, Now, let’s have dinner. This spot is called Okonomi Beir. Hiroshima’s Okonomyaki is famous of its own unique style built by noodle and eggs. It’s a bit different from other regions. one like Osaka, but it’s so nice. This day I tried at an old okonomyaki restaurant, not at the okonomi village. It was near from JL Hiroshima station. Kai first enjoy beer with some appetizers. This is Hiroshima’s okonomi yaki. It includes pork, shrimp, and so on. That was the best okonomiyaki in my life because I work so hard today and more. Hiroshima is a famous of its oyster. Please try some oyster when you come to Hiroshima. I was totally satisfied tonight. Good night. Good morning. Today we’re going to visit Miaima. This time I choose taking the tram Hiroen. Actually taking the JR train is faster than the Trump. But it’s so nice to visit there, watching the sceneries of Hiroshima City. The Miaima Island is ahead of us. You can get there by the ferry. It costs 500 yen. Bamosaima. Heat. Heat. Squishy channel. There are much deers resting with people. It’s like narrow city. They aren’t grown by people. They are white animal. They’ve been here from 6,000 years ago when this island was separated from the main island. If from Naria, giving them food is prohibited. The red tree is appearing. This street is called sando. A kind of gut street. Miaima itself is considered as God’s island and of course it’s registered as a world heritage site. This red Tori is the most iconic symbol of Miaima. As you already know, deers are willing to being photographed. I think they should get paid a salary. Now, let’s get into it shrine. The ticket is just 300 yen. Originally this shrine was established in 593 in the Asca period. At that time the island is called its Kushima and the island itself was considered as a god. In 1168 in the Hanam period, Tyan Kiomori, the head of He a biggest samurai family, built this red shrine and they start preserving it as a god of He7 and 1223. There were huge fire and the building was corrupted twice. In 1240 they rebuilt this building and that is remaining still now. At that time entering and living in this island was strictly prohibited. But from 14th century some monks moved to here and started their lives. In 16th century called Sangok period the iron was gradually declined. But then Mori Moari, a famous king of Hiroshima won the war of its Kushima started governing this island. People started preserving this island and the shrine again. And that preservation is still going on until today. This is called Haakan. It means the god of peace. It was dedicated to the victims of atomic bomb. There are a lot of woodmade old buildings. It’s so fun just walking and watching those buildings. There are so many wild birds animals too. And the distance between people and those animals are so close. It creates a peaceful atmosphere indeed. Now let’s take the logway and watch this beautiful island from the top of mountain. Well, it is it is closed now. I’m terribly sorry. Anyway, let’s continue walking. This building is under reconstruction. This is a kind of gojunoto built in 147. The construction continues until next year’s December. This building is called Hokku Shrine. In Sangok period, Ttomy Hideoshi, the king of Japan at that time, ordered to build this shrine, but he died suddenly. So, the construction was stopped until now. Anyway, let’s have lunch here. I choose anago meshi and soba. Anago is a typical seafood of this island. You can’t miss it. Samadesha. This is a shopping street called Omote Sando. Of course, the Starbucks shop is here. You can enjoy shopping and having meal here. Oh, the deer is entering into the narrow alley. Good luck. Now the time is going back to Hiroshima City. Goodbye, Miaima. Let’s go back to Hiroshima City by JR train. At the end of this trip, I’m going to visit the price again. This place is called Peace Memorial Park. The Gimbach Dome is included in So many tourists visit this place thinking and feeling so many things. That building is called Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. Press enter. You can take photo without pressing. But I think no one would think taking any photo. Please engrave it to your heart. Those photos and remains are real ones. And that tragedy was truly caused by human. I won’t forget that because my grandfather was born here. I couldn’t meet him because he was already dead before I was born. I wasn’t born in Hiroshima, but I’m going to enter the grave in here. So, I have to know more about Hiroshima. Of course, not just the war, but the other interesting side of here. So, I want to visit here again and again. I wish you will be able to come Hiroshima someday. See you soon.
