Exploring the old Japanese streets of Southern Higashiyama in Kyoto.

Higashiyama is one of the main sightseeing districts in Kyoto, where you can walk along old Japanese streets and see old wooden “machiya” town houses. It’s also very busy and touristy! One of the main temples in the area is Kiyomizudera. You can also see the Kamogawa River, which runs through the middle of Kyoto. We went for kakigori, then curry udon at a restaurant called Mimikou:
