solo hiking in japan 🗻 | mt. odaigahara, peaceful nature day trip in nara

hello everyone 🙂
I had so much fun going on my first hiking day trip from Kyoto to Mt. Odaigahara in Nara. Overall the hike is so pretty and since it’s a loop you can see different views. Also I think Nara is one of the prettiest perfecters the mountains, rivers, etc. are so pretty there

– getting there
I saw blogs saying you can get on the bus at Yamato Kamichi station but on the bus time table it says it doesn’t stop there anymore so I got on at YAMATO YAGI station.
(also note that there is only ONE bus that leaves to go there and comes back from the mountain a day )

– the hike
I started at the trailhead near the visitors center
The hike is shady but there’s a lot of open areas so I suggest bringing something to cover yourself with.
There’s also lots of plants close to the path and I hate the feeling of leaves touching me, so I suggest wearing pants.
The ground can be unstable and have loose rocks at time so its good to be prepared for that

– National Park information
They are currently doing this campaign for the next two years where at certain locations in the national park, you can get a stamp for the posters shown in the video 08:16
