Tokyo is NOT a good city for VEGANS! Or is it….? #japanesevegan #japanfood

Tokyo is not a good city for vegans is what many may think, but it simply isn’t true. I’m here with my friend Kiara, who wrote The Vegan Guide to Tokyo, a compilation of all the best vegan spots. And we’re here today to try out one of her recommendations, Te’s Restaurant. Tease serves delicious vegan dining, which includes vegan twists on Japanese classics such as ramen and Dia, as well as Western options. We started off with these delicious soy chicken bites, and they were so good. I couldn’t tell they weren’t chicken. Food does not need meat to be tasty, and Te’s restaurant certainly proved that. My ramen was so flavorful, and Kiara’s Doria really hit the spot. We even indulged in a little dessert. Again, vegan friendly. While vegan food still isn’t that common in Japan, the number of vegan establishments is growing. And just like everything else the Japanese do, their vegan options are amazing. 1. If you want authentic vegan food in Japan, eat at 精進料理 places or stay at Buddhist monasteries, not these fake ass cafes designed to pander to Western colonizers and their bootlickers.
