Hiroshima & Miyajima Travel Guide: Peace Park, Food & Floating Gates

Heat. Heat. N. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Morning everyone. Morning. Welcome to another video. In today’s video, we are doing 24 hours in Hiroshima and how to spend that as well. Um, so today we’re going to be doing hopefully, if we can get tickets, a boat tour. Uh, the boat tour is called the World Heritage Sea Route that takes you all the way to Miaima um to go see the famous what’s it called? Tour gate. The famous Tory gate that’s in the water as well. So, we’re going to go book that. That advises you to get there 15 minutes ahead of schedule. We’re going to get there slightly beforehand because everyone will see that bit of information, won’t they? It’s at quart 8 is the first boat today. The times do change though depending on the date and when you’re visiting. So, you best just to check their website to see when and you can select your boarding date, can’t you? And it will tell you the um estimated departure times and then what time the last fair is. Now, if you want to book get a return ticket, you have to go, I believe when looking on the website, you go up to a vending machine to get your tickets um and do a return ticket that way. And then they exchange that for a number and then that number is how you get onto the boat. We’ll we’ll show you when we get there. Um so, yeah, like K said, the first boat going out is 8:15. The last one, oh no, there is one coming back in the evening evening, but I don’t think we’ll be staying there from 8:15 till 6:50 in the evening. We’ll probably come back at about 1:55. It depends on the tide, which is why cuz it goes under some bridges. So depending on the the how the tide’s working on the day, the times may change slightly. Yeah, exactly. So that’s going to be our first thing that we really want to do. We’re also going to hopefully go to Hiroshima Castle. Um maybe go to the Shukian Garden, but it just depends on how much time we’ve got. We’re obviously going to go to the famous atomic bomb dome as well. We’ve also got the museum peace museum book, don’t we? And we’ve also got a observation tower booked which is right near um the museum and the dome. So there’s quite a few things in one sort of area small area which is really good. So hopefully it’s going to be a really fun jam-packed day. It is going to be fun. It’s going to be great. We’re going to get a taxi to the um boat place because it’s only like5 minute walk. It’s only five. Yeah. And we were like, “Oh, let’s save our legs cuz we’re going to do plenty of walking again.” If you’ve watched any of our Japan videos, you’ll know that our step count is high. Um, so yeah, join us for today’s video and how to spend 24 hours in Hiroshima. Don’t forget to like the video, comment down below if you’ve got any questions or thoughts or if you’ve been um and also subscribe to the channel. Yeah, let’s go. [Music] So, to find your way to the boat pier, you go to come to this cafe pond here. And then as you can see there’s a big sign there that says to Miaima. There’s also the times here. And what you do is you go down this ramp, go into the office and get your ticket. They’ll ask you for your return time as well. So you do need to have an idea. And the lady said to me that if you are uh not doing the big hike, that 3 hours should be enough for that. I’m glad that we got here 20 25 minutes though because there’s already quite a big queue. Let’s have a look and see what it’s like. Okay, we’re just getting on the um boat now. We’re leaving in in about five fiveish minutes. This is what the boat looks like. Looks quite snazzy. We’ll show you what the seats look like in a second. Okay, this is what the seats look like. [Music] Down [Applause] [Music] down down down down down down down down. [Music] on the boat. Yeah, it’s completely full. So, definitely get here what, 25 minutes early. We got here. Yeah, it it got busy pretty fast. Yeah, so I imagine everybody turned up 15 minutes before. Exactly. This clip might not work cuz the boat’s just gone very loud. Um, we’re on the move. We’re on the move. It takes 45 minutes to get there and we paid 8,200 yen for a return ticket, which is more than what it said on the board. You said that it said 1,500 per adult. Maybe that was to somewhere else like for a child or something. I don’t know. Um, so we’ll show you the routes along the way. Um, we can sort of see out the window, but the seats are comfortable, aren’t they? It’s not like you like really crammed in. And there’s nobody stood up either, so everybody’s got a seat. So that’s good. So I think when it’s full, it’s full. She did say to me it was first come, first served with the seats. People um did try to come. They queued up and then they got turned away because it was full. So it’s not obviously the biggest boat either. So I would definitely recommend coming early. Yeah, it says that it’s I think I’m assuming that means it can have 58 passengers on. Looks like quite a few actually. Um Oh, we’re picking up speed now, aren’t we? We are picking up speed, right? We’ll show you the route along the way. Exciting. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] We’ve arrived. We are here. Took about 45 minutes on the boat and it was really nice and smooth sailing, wasn’t it? Yeah. Nice and chill to be fair. And the boat was a little bit noisy, but that’s fine. Yeah, it was fine when it got going. Yeah, it was um got a little bit faster once it got into like the open waters. So, yeah, we are here. We’re going to take a little wander to the um main tour gate. That’s where obviously everybody goes first. There’s I can already see cafes, little places to eat. So, it looks really cute here. The weather’s really lovely. It’s just warming up. So, hopefully we’ve got a nice clear sunny skies um for today. And then have a little wander around here and we’ll let you know what else we get up to. There’s a couple of things you can come and see. There is like a big walking trail as well. We’re not doing that. We don’t have time. No. Um, and obviously we’ve got our return boat booked. And if you want to leave any earlier than the time you’ve booked, you can go to the ticket office and ask them if they’ve got any free spaces. If they do, then they usually will let you on cuz we did ask about that as well. But so far, easy peasy morning. Let’s go have a look. Let’s go. Hello. Some deer just chilling in the sun. I love that. So cute. It’s literally not even looking at you. No, just knock me right off. Hey, babe. It says don’t. There’s sign saying don’t stroke them or anything. Is there? Yeah. A We will leave you alone. Leave you in peace. Bye, dear. Hiroshima, dear. So, there’s a little sign here tells you where the how far the shrine is, the aquarium. There’s a park. It’s only 0.6 km from when you get in. So, it’s not far at all. No, you you might be able to see it in the distance ever so slightly. Um the tide looks like it’s in at the moment though, so you can’t walk up to it. I don’t know the tide times, but we sort of didn’t have any choice with the tie times cuz we’ve got lots of other plans for today. Heat. Heat. [Music] So, we’re at the famous Its Su Kushima Shrine, which is the floating shrine in the water. It’s a Shinto shrine. Um, and that’s just behind us as well. It’s also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site and it’s been uh designated as a possession of national treasure as well. It’s a shame that the tide’s in at the moment cuz you can if the tide’s out go walk up to it as well. Yeah, it looks stunning. Looks really pretty. And it’s actually really big. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. Behind the scenes footage of how to get the perfect shot of this Tory gate. Oh yeah, that looks really good. Everybody’s congregating right here. Right here. [Music] We’ve just been having a little wander around the Isuku Suyushima shrine and which is just over here. All of this bit here on the water. It’s super cool. Um you can see some of the different shrines inside um each little area. And then the actual Tory gate um which you can see there. It says on this piece of um information I’ve got it’s around 16 m tall and the circumference of each pillar is about 10 m and it’s one of the biggest wooden toy gates in the whole of Japan. So it’s massive. So you can pick up this little uh Oh, it’s a bit windy. Hang on. this little sort of guide map. Oh, to the shrine. Hang on a minute. The wind. There you go. And you can see the different areas. And it’s got a little walk through on it. It’s really lovely. Really, really lovely here. So, yeah, it was 300 yen to get onto the shrine. You can see also there’s people queuing for the little pier section just over there to get like a shot which is directly in the center of the toy gate as well. [Music] [Applause] So, we’ve just made it to the Daisho Inn, also called the Swish Show G Temple. It’s a historic uh Japanese Buddhist temple complex with many temples and style chews on Mount M, which is the holy uh mountain of the island. Matchelatte. Much much. [Music] [Music] So, there’s this really cool bell here that you can ring once per person. That was a loud one. Very loud. Are we ready? [Music] So again, this in the daen temple. It’s quite a lot of steps, so it’s not necessarily accessible. [Music] Heat [Music] up. [Music] [Music] We’ve taken a little stroll to Omato Park and it’s only a few minutes extra like further away, isn’t it, from like the temple? Basically, the main bits. And it’s really cute. There’s lots of benches to sit down. There’s loads of deer everywhere. It’s so quiet over here. So, if you want a little bit of peace, maybe eat some of your lunch or something with the deer, you come here. Yeah, it seems really nice. Look at this one. just chilling. They’re so cute. So, long eyelashes. Oh, yeah. It’s like our dog, Renee. N. So, I think what we’re going to do is head back over to the main toy gate area, aren’t we? Cuz we got 20-minute walk back over to Yeah, roughly our ferry. So, it’s about uh4 11 now and our ferry leaves at 12:00 and you’ve got to be there 10 15 minutes before. Yeah. So, we’re going to head back over there now. There’s a main shopping street. It’s called the Miaima Omando shopping street. It’s about 100 meters long. I heard a tour guide say. So, if that’s not correct, that’s not my fault. But there’s loads of little bits. There’s quite a lot of food here as well. Get loads of food, snacks, ice creams, drinks. Yeah, everything. It’s really good. Really nice. Smells amazing as well. All done now at Miaima. Um it’s been 3 hours. That’s flown by, hasn’t it? It’s gone so fast. I definitely say if you want to fully explore the island, come for a few more hours. You could spend all day here. The last ferry back, I think, comes back at 6:00. It was something like that. Yeah, we said this morning, didn’t we? Um there is quite a lot more to see to do. Obviously we’ve just picked up a couple of things that we wanted to look at and then done them, haven’t we? Yeah, exactly. The main thing is the tour gate in the water, isn’t it? So what we’re going to go do now is exchange our boat ticket for our boarding pass and go get on the boat. Yeah. So we’re going to head back to Hiroshima and then we’re going to go see the atomic dome. We’re going to go to the museum and a couple of other bits and bobs. So yeah, we got a little boat snack as well. Boat snack. So, what you do is you exchange your uh ticket for a boarding pass. Um, and they’ll give you that and then they’ll tell you when to when it’s time to line up and then you’ll go get on the boat. Oh, it’s just gotten in here now. I don’t know how full it’ll be. Hopefully, it’s not completely full like it was coming here cuz we are leaving a bit before everyone else. So, let’s wait and see. But, let’s go get on the boat. We’re now on our way back. What’s really cool because it’s really quiet on this one and we’ve got a three-seater to ourselves. There is a little screen at the front that you can watch as well. That’s a live cam live um live feed of the journey out the front of the boat. I think Oh, yeah. Oh, like this over here to the right. Don’t know what that is. Fishing village. I’m going to guess. [Music] We’re back in Hiroshima properly. Yay. Um we’ve just stopped up at this first place. So this is a memorial statue um which was erected by the families of uh students who were drafted into the military during World War II. Um, and it said approximately 10,000 of them were drafted and 6,000 of them lost their lives due to the atomic bomb. It’s crazy. And this was erected by uh family members as a memorial. And the statue, I think it said was the goddess of peace. Mhm. I think so. So, what we’re going to do is take a little look around the peace memorial park here. Atomic bomb. The dome is literally here behind us. We’ll show you that in a second. Yeah. The boat ride was nice and chill, wasn’t it? It was quite empty, which was good. It was quiet so we were able to spread out which was nice. Yeah, I had a little shy of 10 minutes. That was good. And then we got back about4 to 1, wasn’t it? So, we’ve got a good couple of hours now to just explore, relax, take in some nice sites, don’t we? Yeah, exactly. Let’s go. So, we’re at our next stop, which is the Hiroshima Peace Memorial or more commonly known as the atomic uh the atomic bomb dome. Um, just really interesting. I I really like history about World War II, but I don’t know that much about the Japanese involvement in that. So, obviously, it’s the prominent structure that remains standing in the area around the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, 3 days before the atomic bombing of Nagasaki and 9 days before Japan surrendered, ending World War II. Um, the ruin of the hall serves as a memorial to the over 140,000 people who were killed in the bombing. I had no idea it was that many. And it’s quite some actually just looking at the structure and just seeing it like that. [Music] Really interesting as well looking around here. So this is um a famous bridge that uh remained as well. Now apparently this was the original target for the atomic bomb because it was in a more central location and the bomb missed it just briefly. And it was interesting because around where the peace memorial is, apparently, we found this out on the boat back, but apparently that was a really bustling, lively entertainment, nightife, shopping, and business district of Hiroshima. And that was completely taken out, annihilated, whatever word you think is best to use with that. Over here as well is the memorial uh peace clock as well, but we’re going to go over that side. So, we’ll show you it a bit more detail. We’ve just sat down for a few minutes on the way to Hiroshima Castle. And in this area here, which is just near the um atomic bomb dome, which is just at the end of the street, there’s actually a guoza like festival happening where there’s loads of booths. We can get loads of different guozas. At the moment, it’s only for a short amount of time. And that was quite cool, quite interesting. There’s a lot of people around as well. Probably because it’s Golden Week. That’s why there’s little festivals on. So, I bet there’s loads of yummy food that you can get from some of these booths. So, that’s pretty cool. And also up here is the observation deck that we’re going to be going to later. And if you can see the cranes here, the paper cranes, you can actually fold one of those up origami style and drop it in where that glass is and then they all build up. Hopefully be able to show that a bit closer later. But hopefully the plan is we’ll be going up here in a couple of hours and then you’ll probably get a really good view of the dome as well and um parts of Hiroshima. So you’ll see here load of go to stands all across here. They’ve got some uh bunstands and then there’s loads of seats over here. There’s some sweets treat area like ice creams and beers. Looks super cool. This is like welcome to just have randomly. We’re coming up to our next stop which is the Hiroshima Castle. Um you have to walk over this bridge and then to the left of it you’ll be able to then go into the main area which is over there. So that’s pretty cool. So we’ll have a little look around and we’ll show you some of the castle. It looks really pretty from here. So, looking forward to having a little wander. It’s really lovely weather today as well. And it’s not too busy, which is surprising. Here’s a little look at the map for the castle. So, we came in over this bridge at the bottom, and we’re just here now. So, we’re going to head up here and have a little look. We nearly made it. Looks so cool. It’s really tall as well. Just going to walk up these steps, then we’ll be able to have a good view. So, it looks like you can also go to the top, have a little view out as well. It’s really interesting cuz a lot of it’s wooden as well. Look how pretty it looks. So, I think if you want to go in is a small charger of 370 yen. So, as you walk up to the castle, there’s some really nice garden um areas with lots of pretty flowers and trees. So, it’s very peaceful again in here and it’s a really nice little wander up to the castle to have a look. We’re not going to go up up the top today just because we’ve got some other things that we want to and took off our list of exploring around, but it was really nice to come and see it and check it out. We’re on our way to the peace museum now from Hiroshima Castle. about a 20inut walk back to that type of area where the um dome is the peace park, the museum and we did a little detour to goo and uniqlo um on the way just to see if we can find some swimming shorts because we shipped ours back to Tokyo already in our big cases that we’ve not got with us and our hotel that we’re staying at which is the Hilton in Hiroshima has actually got a really nice pool and a um sauna. Um, so we want to obviously try to use those facilities tonight just to probably relax a little bit after a long day of walking again, but they didn’t have any. So, we’re going to try and maybe find some of them later on once we’ve done some of the other attractions that we would like to really take off our list. So, we’re heading there and we’ll let you know when we get there and we’ll show you a little bit of the museum as well. We’re just walking up to the museum now and it’s really pretty around here with the like gardens, all the trees. It’s just obviously very peaceful and there’s just lots of nature around which is really nice. Doesn’t look like the museum’s got really any line. I don’t think we’ve already booked tickets for the museum um as well. They weren’t very expensive. I can’t remember how much they are. I’ll double check and we’ll let you know. Um so yeah, looking forward to having a look around here. I’m sure it’ll be really interesting. We’ll try and share a few facts with you. Um, but it’s just really nice to walk around here. Just take in all the sites. Okay, here we go. So, when we come in, there’s two separate lines. You’ve got to the left ticket counter and then to the right if you’ve already booked tickets. Okay, we’re in. So, if you buy a ticket here, it’s 200 yen and we paid online by a clue and it was £24 for both of us. So, super cheap to come. And there’s also lockers that you can use um once you’ve come through the main entrance to store like your bigger bags or if you’ve got any cases and things, you just need a 100 yen coin um to to use those and I think you get that coin back at the end. And so we’ve just dropped off our um backpack. So this was Hiroshima before the bombing. um looks obviously very different. And then this is Hiroshima after the bombing. So very different, very destructive and really sad. [Music] [Music] Give another try. Heat. Heat. Okay. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] We finished in the um war museum now. Really, really interesting. If you like your history, if you like learning about different things, then I recommend going there. And it’s so cheap to go to as well. Lots of information, not just about uh the atomic bomb, but about the Second World War as well and all the aftermath of that. Um really interesting, really sombering as well. Really gives you a bit of a reality check when you’re in it. Yeah, there’s some really graphic pictures as well, so just to bear that in mind. Um it was it’s quite long and the beginning of it can get really busy. So yeah, cuz it’s quite tight in the beginning, but just it it moves and it flows and then it opens up again as well, doesn’t it? Yeah, there’s quite a few different rooms. You can buy audio guides, 400 yen as well. Yeah, which is probably quite good if you really want to just take your time. You could spend hours in there. And I think we spent just over an hour, I think it was. Yeah. Um, obviously reading lots of information and just having a wander around and obviously trying to just take as much as possible. Yeah. Um, so it’s really good. Really recommend it. And it overlooks and obviously it’s around the peace park and the peace park’s really beautiful and they’re just setting up. Turn around and you can see that behind us. A flower festival. I’m not sure of the dates, but they are there a big stage. They’re doing loads of flowers. It looks really pretty. So, I would definitely just come and spend some time around here. Yeah, definitely. So, that’s where we’re going to next. That’s our next stop, the peace park as well. So, you come out of the museum and it’s straight on your right or straight in front of you depending on which exit you come out of. So, we’re going to have a little wander through that and then we’re going to go to our next stop after that, which is the Oriuu Oruzu observation deck. Yeah, the one I showed earlier with the cranes and um on the side of it. Yeah. So, we’re going to head there now. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Music] We’re just coming up to the tower now. I wanted to show you the cranes, paper cranes. So, here you go. If I zoom in a bit, hopefully you can see all the paper cranes that people have made and dropped into the pot. We’ll show you a little bit more when we get inside. We are now at the uh Orizuru Tower. Um we had to exchange our tickets that we booked directly through Cluke at the ticket exchange where there was no queue really. Our ticket does include a special extra which is where you get to make an origami crane and put it into the into the wall. Uh you put it into the glass drop box. Yeah. Yeah. Into the glass wall like I said outside. Um and this is the floor mat. You can see that. So the origami is on the 12th floor. Yeah. Y we have to show our ticket to be able to do it. Yep. Uh price if you pay here is £2,200 yen plus £100 yen for the crane. We paid £11 per person on Clunk. We’re at the top now. Really good view of the atomic dome. Um it does have this like wiring as well to obviously protect um the observation deck, but really nice views. And you can see the trams as well. And there’s the um clock peace clock tower. And then if I just go to the left just down there, you can see part of the park. You can also see a bit of the museum as well. [Music] Really pretty up here. Let’s zoom in on the dome a little bit. Now that we’re high up, you can see all the rubble still, which is really sad. So on the other side you can see the um gear fest and then in the distance you can also see the castle. Let me try and zoom in [Music] it focuses. There you go. Really nice and breezy up here as well. And this is what the observation deck looks like. And then after 6:00 until 11:00, it usually turns into like a bit of a bar um where you can come up here and have a drink for sunset, I believe. So, I’m imagining that would be really nice. But you can see how lovely all the views are. And then to get to the 12th floor, you just go down the spiral slope. Oh, cool. There’s no netting on this bit, so you can see all the way out. It’s really nice this building. The um lobby as well smelled really nice. There was a couple of little foodie bits and drinks that you could get. Look how cool the walls are. And then the 12th floor, like I said, is where you do the uh crane origami cranes. So, we’ve come into the crane making bit. And then you get to choose a pattern. So, we chose these two. I think there was about six to pick from. And then there’s instructions on here on how to make it. And then you go and drop it in the wall. So much better. Right. So, we need to follow this [Music] We finished. [Music] Go. A twizzle. Yeah, you because we open wing slide. But bye-bye. Woo. My turn. Oh. Oh, it’s quite quick actually. Oh. Ah. Third one. [Applause] I don’t know where Ollie is. [Music] Where is he? Oh, there he is. It’s not focusing. That’s the Orauzu Tower. Dick done and the slide dick done. The slide was funny. I don’t know if my mic’s on. We’ve had a long day. Um, we’re going to decide on our next few stops. Um, but I think we’ll probably go and get something to eat quite soon. We might head to the Pokémon Center, but it is at the train station because that’s about half an hour, 35 minute walk from where we are right now. So, I don’t know if our beach can take us. Our step count at the moment was at about 22,000 last time I checked. So, it’s been another day of steps. That’s not too bad in comparison to some of the other days. No, not too bad. Um, so yeah, we’ll take you along with us. We’ll show you what we do. Um, but our 24 hours in Hiroshima is coming to a close quite soon. So stay tuned to see if we do do a final few bits. We are making our way to Yes, that place. So, it’s a okonamayaki place, but it does a vegan menu as well. Yeah. So, fingers crossed we can go and get in quite quickly. Yeah. We have no idea how long the way it’s going to be. No. So, we’ll get there in 8 minutes. So, it was a 15-minute walk from the tower that we were at. Yeah. And so, it’s not very far away. Not far at all. One thing that is really good here is that there’s a lot in this location that you can just walk to and it’s not all really far spread out. taken the metro or public transport system once. No. Um, so it’s been really really good to be fair. Are we going down here? Yep. Um, so fingers crossed we can do it. If we can, we’ll show you. If we can’t, we’ll have to make a different plan. It doesn’t seem too busy, does it? On the streets at the moment, but no, you know, that could change. Who knows? Well, the whole of Hiroshima’s not seemed like really busy. And we did think that to be fair with booking because obviously we found out about Golden Week which is their public holiday and we thought well it’ll probably be crazy in Tokyo Kyoto and Osaka but because we’re ending on Hiroshima before we go back uh to Tokyo for our flight it might be a bit quieter. Might be a bit quieter. It has seemed quite quiet as well. Yeah. Obviously there’s lots of people around. Lots of tourists still but I imagine nowhere near as busy as what it could be. Yeah, exactly. But we will catch you when we get to the place and fingers crossed we can get in. Hey, we’re here. Second floor. Let’s see. We need to go up. Look at that Camaro. Oh yeah. How cool is that? We’ve just gone past a ga place that does some uh vegan veggie options. And then there’s also a vegetarian Chinese restaurant which is literally next to the ghost place. So let’s see how long we might have to wait. Have we gone up too far? Is it this one? So, this is the menu at uh Jurro Kichchi. You’ve got these are the standard okonomiyaki. Then you’ve got the jurroki roll which is full of umami. This dish is made with ramen noodles, scallions, and cheese. That looks really nice to be fair. Maybe I should have gotten that. You’ve also got some sauté dishes. starts and sides and desserts. And then this is the vegan menu. So you’ve got vegan okonomyakin. And she did ask if you were okay with egg, didn’t she? Yes. And then you’ve got some further dishes here as well, which look really good. And then this is how to order okonamiyaki. So you choose your noodles. You can have yaki soa or udon, both made with wheat flour. And then you choose your toppings. So I went for cheese and pork. She’s preparing our okanamiyaki. So Kieran’s gone for the vegan one. Then I’ve gone for a customized one which includes cheese and uh pork I think but no fish and no squid. So mine was a vegan one but with normal cheese and I think it’s more like a vegetarian. Yeah, more veggie one. Oh, so you get some beans. You get cabbage, bean sprouts, the savory pancake seasoning. Seasoning. Lots of salt and pepper. There’s a couple on there. for a drink. For the drink, I got a orange Malibu. I got a drink. I got an So I should video this sauce sausage. It’s really good cuz he’s keeping the vegan one like to the side separate and he’s using separate utensils which is really good. That’s the cheese. So it ain’t that vegan. [Music] No vegan. She thick. You mean he thick now? He thick. Oh, don’t don’t put the camera down my belly. That was really good. Yeah, what’s it called again? Uh, I have no idea. We’ll put it on the screen at some point, I’m sure. We’ll put it on the screen. Really good. Felt authentic. We sat at the bar turn. Um, yeah, we could see him doing all of his little things. Yeah. And really tasty as well. And they’ve got vegan, vegetarian options, so definitely recommended. They try their best to like keep it all separate, but obviously there’s no guarantee that it’s not guaranteed. There will be crosscontamination to an extent. But to be fair, he did use separate spatulas, didn’t he? Yeah, he did use them. And when when you ordered it, he made sure it was all separate then. And he did clean it down after every use. So, you know, fair play. It was really good. Really enjoyed it. And when you cuz um I had to eat very fast. And then when I left it on the thing, they the cheese and the noodles went like insanely crispy and it was like proper crunchy. That was like quite good. Yeah, I enjoyed that. So So I would recommend that place. We had an okonomiyaki each. Uh, I had three beers. So, you have two big ones and one medium. Two big ones and one medium one. And then you’ve had two Malibu. Yeah, that’s the first time I’ve seen Malibu as well. So, I was like, “Oh.” And the whole thing came to £34. So, absolute bargain in the UK. How much would that cost? Cuz it’s essentially a tiny. Yeah, it was. And it was um wasn’t that busy when we got there, but then after we sat down, there was people waiting and there was locals as well going in. So, it’s a little bit more traditional probably. Totally. So, now we are going to head back towards the hotel. Yeah. So, we’re going to head back to towards the hotel. Um, we’re going to see if we can find some swimming quickly. Yeah. And then if we can, we’re going to use the pool and the the sauna facilities. Yeah. The hotel cuz it was um it looked really nice last night. Really nice. I want to go in the jacuzzi. Yes, please. This sign’s funny. Sorry. It says no guzza, no life. Um, so that’s what we’re doing now. Anyway, um and what we’ll do is we’ll end the video when we’re back in the hotel. Yeah, we’ll do a roundoff. Well, last time we spoke to you, we were looking for swimming shorts in H&M. We did get some. We did. Um and then after that, we went back to the hotel and chilled in the leisure facility. So, there’s a swimming pool, a sauna. If you want to have a full look of what the hotel was like, then we’ve got a separate video which goes over what the Hilton and Hiroshima was nice. Spoiler alert, gorgeous hotel. Yeah, we um also sat in the executive lounge for a short amount of time and had some of the free drinks for the cocktail hour. Yeah, again in the hotel tour. So really, really nice. Um so let’s conclude Hiroshima. Amazing time. I think we both agree that we would like another day. Yeah, one I think one more full day would have been nice to explore. So like three nights in total cuz the first night we couldn’t really do anything. No. Um because I’m sure there’s lots of other things that you can do, other museums, attractions, and it’s it was a really nice place. So really enjoyed it. Yeah, absolutely. Highlight. Um I really enjoyed the morning day trip to the tour game. Yeah. And me and J. Yeah, that was really pretty and it was good to go first thing as well. Yeah. Um Yeah. Yeah. Yours? Mine I Well, I loved everything. I really enjoyed the um peace museum, the World War II museum. Um I just found it really interesting. I really like history and stuff like that. So I found that really interesting as a museum. It was busy, but it was still Yeah. very impactful, I would say. So, I really enjoyed that and it was only a pound. So cheap. So, really worth it. Um, we also thought we’d show you the Starbucks mug. Yes, we did get pick up the Starbucks mug as well. Hopefully that’s showing you that. So, it’s got some weird stuff on it. Probably one of the most iconic things is the oysters. Hiroshima is really famous for that. We didn’t try that cuz one, obviously, I don’t eat them and Ollie does not like oysters. You’ve also got the Hiroshima okonami yaki. Um, pigeons for some reason. Um, there’s a dolphin on it because I think you can see dolphins off Miaima. Oh, can you? Yeah, I think that’s true. Um, and cycling as well. So, really nice mug. Yeah. Yeah, it’s nice mug. Same price as all the others. Yeah. 2,600 yen is the cost of them, which works out to be about £13.75 to be exact. So, we’ve got all the ones that we wanted, which is pretty sad, but also pretty cool for us. So, yeah. Okay. Well, let’s end the video here. Thank you so much for watching. We hope you’ve enjoyed finding out a bit more about Hiroshima. We certainly have a mini Hiroshima trip. So, it was really good. I would 100% go. I would just make sure if you can have a little bit of extra time there to take it in really. It’s a really really lovely city. Yeah. And I think that was a really good thing, wasn’t it, though? It was just like a bit slower paced. It was definitely not as busy as other places that we’ve been to. I’m not sure why if that’s a thing or not. It’s golden week. We thought it was going to be crazy, but it was really chill. Yeah, it was nice. Quiet and it was a really different pace. Yeah, it was lovely. But go check it out. Go do a shimmer. Absolutely. Uh, let’s end the video here like we said. So, thank you so much for watching.
