Anthem of the Seas Tokyo to Seattle

We took a 15 night transpacific cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas that sailed from Tokyo, Japan to Seattle, Washington. After stops in Aomori and Hakodate, Japan (where we saw beautiful cherry blossoms) we set off across the Pacific Ocean. The seas were choppy and the outside temperature seldom rose above 34 degrees Fahrenheit. We were warm, well entertained and very well fed onboard the ship. Service was excellent and the cruise director and her staff did a great job of offering a wide variety of production shows, contests, games, live music, karaoke, dance classes and more. Since the temperature outside was so cold, we weren’t able to have normal poolside cruise activities but there was plenty to do inside; working out the the gym, gambling in the casino, unlimited dining, shopping, art auctions, bumper cars, pickleball , full service spa, and more. There were so many options all day long, every day, that we didn’t have time to do everything. So people were able to be as active….or as relaxed as they liked.
