[Music] After the hectic and busy days in Tokyo and Kyoto, this place was great. The onsen was so relaxing and private onen was great for our young family to enjoy without bothering any other guests. Food was spectacular and the staff was so accommodating with helping us with a kids menu for our 2-year-old, even when we had forgotten to pre-order in advance. The hotel was beautiful. Had amazing views of the mountains and waterfall. Very relaxing atmosphere. Private onen in the room was great. There were also private onens that you could use for 45 minutes that were first come first serve. Those were amazing. The food was the best that we had all trip. Most importantly, the staff was so friendly. Last time I stayed here, it was so good that I came back with my family for the second time. As expected, the view from the window in the guest room’s open air bath, along with three private open air baths and a large public bath, were quite luxurious. There were some harsh comments about the food, but I thought they might be malicious complainers because the food was delicious. My wife, toddler, daughter, and I stayed for two nights. The staff was very accommodating with us traveling with a toddler and allowed us to bring their own food into the restaurant, provided a baby bath and additional futon bedding. The location is very close to the open air museum in unison and is easily accessible by bus or train, though taxi would be best when traveling with small children. The private baths were perfect for family baths and required despite arriving at the hotel about an hour and a half earlier than planned during check-in. The staff at the front desk were friendly and attentive throughout. When being shown to the room, they carefully explained each piece of equipment until we reached the room, which heightened our anticipation for the stay. The room met our pre-requested bed size and they prepared yukatas that matched our sizes while we were out, allowing us to wear matching yukatas together. The private open air stay in this accommodation was really zen and peaceful with zen vibes. Food served was really delicious and filling. Staff were really friendly and helpful with directions, too. Had lots of fun and relaxation. Highly recommend staying here. Make sure to get breakfast and dinner with your booking. Food is superb. We spent one night as a couple. Since we don’t have a car, we went by a bus. The hotel is located less than a minute’s walk from the bus stop, making it very convenient. However, buses are prone to delays due to traffic. So, if you want to arrive on time, I think it’s better to take the Hakon Tazen Railway and request a shuttle service.
