Ramen Hozan “soft-launched” in The Parade yesterday as part of Hello! Watford, a new food court that will eventually offer a range of cuisines.

The Japanese venue was the first business to confirm its presence as part of the complex, promising to take customers on a “journey”.

The first of those customers was welcomed at 12pm yesterday (July 28), with a social media post ahead of the launch saying: “Behind the curtain, soup has been simmering, bowls have been tested, and every detail has been shaped with heart.

“Opening a ramen shop isn’t just business – it’s a way to share something deeply personal.”

The initial menu features a range of “rich broths”, with chicken, pork and vegetarian options included.

The food court has been seeking vendors to help provide a “unique international food experience”.

Since the closure of bar and grill restaurant The Twin Flame, the prominent unit had been vacant for at least two years and had previously been marketed as available for rent for £150,000 per year.
