🇯🇵 YOKOHAMA RED BRICK WAREHOUSE “Akarenga Soko” in Japan

today I’m in yaha Japan and we are going to the Red Brick Warehouse which is now a shopping center also very popular spot for dates for locals and we’re going to do like a little walk around to see what’s inside there’s a ton of shops like I think there’s over 100 shops throughout all three floors and I read that the third floor also does sometimes like some kind of theater entertain payment that you can also rent out that I don’t know for sure but it’s Christmas time so there’s a lot of Christmas shops right now I don’t know if it’s there all year long but there’s a big history in this building for Japan because yoka is a port city and when Japan first opened in 1920s to the rest of the world they use this building as the inspection Port so a lot of the international forign products that were imported into Japan were located and stored in this Warehouse while it went through the processing time so it was basically where they inspected all the foreign Goods that came in to make sure that it it has no harmful things in them just like uh USBS basically but like things that come in through the port there’s US Customs uh they inspect all imported goods so I think it is a huge part of the Japanese history but now it’s just a mall with uh a lot of overpriced items and also not just that but unique items that you don’t normally see in stores like a regular stores that like most of the candies and jam and stuff you’re not going to find at a convenience store and they also have a few food spots and one Cafe that we’re going to visit at the end of this video Co allall in here jewelry bags some more jewelry I think this is like a very loc um very touristy like a tour trp a store also price is a little bit High we’ll look around maybe I’ll find something nice oh these are the hand hair pins I love these I have one they’re so beautiful hair pins let’s see these ones how much um how much how much how much uh this one is 5,940 so beautiful so manys wow they also have vending machines for like little random toys like that’s a tiny tote bag this is a piano and there’s so much more over there what you’re seeing here is actually a Turkish store like there’s Turkish lamps and other things that are made in Turkey I think this supposed to represent the history of the building [Music] wow look at that uh this uhhuh very spe [Music] PR good okay even until this day I think Oklahoma is still um very much like an industrial city it’s not very touristy there’s not much to do here besides ites like this the sky trim and also it has the biggest Chinatown in all of Japan dating back to 1880 but besides that there’s not much to look at or do like in Tokyo which is okay because here in this city you can really see how Japanese people live it’s a very work City there’s a lot of companies there’s a lot of buildings that are just for companies and like work work places so you will see a lot of people especially men in suits that I didn’t really see anywhere else like in Kyoto Osaka or in Tokyo because it’s a lot of tourists which is you know fine but I don’t plan on coming back to okahoma anytime soon um because pretty much after the TR Town we’ve seen everything but it is a good spot to go once at least to see how people really live who work in a non touristy environment also these are dock clothes I actually bought one of these NASA jackets it’s so adorable when Home Depot is fashion H um coasters spam coaster socks Pringles you love Pringles I’m going to buy a NASA so Rinko for my dog and a lot of stuff Granny Smith Cafe they have apple pies from different regions uh there was Dutch German something else American something something else but I saw this uh Apple honey latte coffee and that’s what brought me in because I had to try it inside it’s super cute it’s cozy it’s like kind of a secondhand Vibe like everything is just from secondhand store thrift store it’s it’s really cute it’s really all coming together but look at this drink it looks exactly like the advertising and I love that I love when food looks exactly like the advertising for two coffees and the apple pie it was 2,180 Yen that’s almost $14 and in somewhere in Tokyo I got a single Ramen for $6 so it is a bit pricey here some Christmas lights probably looks so much better at night there’s some food trucks over there that’s the entrance but like 500 y just to enter my uh European mind cannot comprehend but this was fun very touristy a lot of uh international stores and yeah we spent a lot of money that we did not expect to spend that much A40 some dollars just on hand cream
