Kitakaro red bean mochi from Otaru Hokkaido
I bought this box of Moi from K Caro a very famous ptis house in Hokkaido these are freshly made even has a very short lifespan probably about a week the reason why I got attracted to it is because they used the special red beans from hoky the make this and it looks like it’s filled with the red beans so I’m going to have a look at this and try this out they are individually packed so we can open this now cut this open so that’s the red bean inside I found this very very sweet um it does have a distinct taste to it I don’t know like they must have put some ingredients in it to make the pastry taste a little bit different almost like a different herp in there and um but it’s too sweet for me I don’t think I’ll buy again
Trio 28’s Rating: 2/5 We tried a few confectionary items in Kitakaro and Rokkatei in Otaru. No doubt, they are nicely packaged. However, I personally found Japanese confectionary too sweet. They were a bit cheaper than Le Tao though.
