Azabaudi is a brand new city in Tokyo, just a few blocks from Tokyo Tower. It is still under construction in fact. Everything you see everywhere is new, from the streets to the trains to the shopping malls to the upscale residential towers and skyscrapers. Many uber wealthy elites from China are moving here to escape. This is one of the newest grocery stores in the newest elite city of Tokyo, the largest city on earth. Realistically it is not that terribly expensive at present since the US Dollar (for us) is powerful vs the Yen. The prices at this grocery store are similar to San Francisco, but the range of items available is mind blowingly insane and there is unfortunately nothing in North America that can compare to many of the unique foods not available in the west.
