Some of the most dreaded crime organisations have joined forces, as the Narcos and the Yakuza team up and create the powerful Narkuza clan. Now, Nuevo-Tokyo is their criminal playground, and it’s up to rebel groups to reclaim the city… this is where Mexican Ninja comes in.

In Madbricks and Amber Studios’ Mexican Ninja, players will take on the role of the titular character (a ninja and a rebel… would that be a ninbel? Rebinja?) as they traverse the crime-ridden streets. Mixing in beat-’em-up gameplay with roguelike elements, you’ll jump back into the randomised levels to fight against the crime syndicate and free everyone from the Narkuza clan.

Here’s what you need to know about Mexican Ninja:

Explore a 2.5D world in Nuevo-Tokyo, fighting against the nefarious Narkuza clan.
Engage in a unique mixture of beat-’em-up gameplay and roguelike, using precise movement and combat to overcome adversity.
Unlock the true power of Mexican Ninja (Mexinja! That has to be it) by using Mexican Jutsus to slay your foes.
Explore randomly-generated worlds, where no run feels the same.
Easy to pick up, but with great reward for those who try to master it.

If you’re interested in Mexican Ninja, then make sure to drop a wishlist — an upcoming demo is due later this fall, with the launch expected sometime in early 2026.
