Wacky throws the opening pitch at Rakuten ‘s game against Nippon-Ham on July 20th | Pacific League

On the 15th, Rakuten announced that Wacky from the comedy duo Penalty will throw the ceremonial first pitch at the game against Nippon-Ham on July 20th.

The same day will be held as “Rakuten Medical Head and Neck Cancer Overcoming Day,” a match sponsored by Rakuten Medical Inc.

“I was diagnosed with oropharyngeal cancer in 2020. It has been about five years since then, and I have not experienced a recurrence. I would like to raise awareness of head and neck cancer among as many people as possible through this opening pitch, so I would like to throw an opening pitch that is unique to Wakki! Thank you!”
