Street culture meets gallery style this summer at TOKYO STREETS X, a bold, week-long celebration of urban photography, visual art and vinyl-spun music. From July 29 to August 3, the WPU Gallery in Shinjuku transforms into a creative hub, spotlighting the work of over 20 local and international artists exploring Tokyo and Japan through diverse lenses—from gritty portraits to surrealist takes.
The experience kicks off on the opening night, July 29, with a Photowalk around Shinjuku (ticketed, you can secure your spot here), followed by a weekend of DJs spinning soul, funk and hip-hop. Friday’s pre-party sets the tone, while Saturday’s reception party (6–10pm) turns the gallery into a lively social space.
Whether you’re a street photography fan, vinyl purist, or just craving creative energy, this free event delivers. This is the chance to see Tokyo from the inside out.
