π―π΅ | Ep.15 | NAGASAKI CITY Adventure! Food Souvenirs and the Old Japan at Dejima! | BRYSSAdventures
Welcome to our Winter in Japan Series! Weβve finally made it to Nagasaki City! π―π΅
In this episode, we left Huis Ten Bosch and took the scenic train journey to Nagasaki City. After dropping off our bags in the lockers, we began exploring right away.
We explored the Nagasaki Kaido Kamome Market, located inside Nagasaki Station. The market was filled with local specialties and souvenirs like castella, manju, champon boxes, satsuma-age, and more!

We took our first tram ride in Japan and rode the blue line bound for Dejima, a former Dutch trading post that has been transformed into an open-air heritage museum. It was a surreal experience walking through well-preserved structures, from old warehouses and elegant residences to recreated rooms with historical artifacts, food displays, and ship models.
We learned a great deal about Japanβs limited international trade during the Edo period and how Dejima became a cultural bridge between Japan and Europe. The quiet streets, samurai sightings, and thoughtful design really made this stop unforgettable.
Dejima is truly a historical gem in the heart of Nagasaki.
And just like the anime One Pieceβs Wano arc, it gave us insight into a time when Japan protected and preserved its culture, while still being curious about the world beyond.

Weβll continue in the next episode with Nagasaki Chinatown, Glover Garden, and more!
