Japan Travel: Okinawa in November | Naha, HOSHINOYA Resort, Yachimun no Sato
Warm and muggy out, but also rainy. So, it’s very scary as a first time right hand side driver. Oh, wait. Oh, maybe that’s what we should get. Chip fresh sea grapes. So check out crazy. This one. Not too tangy. Very refreshing on a very humid Okanawa day. Okanowan day. street view. Here’s first international drive. Send us your thoughts and prayers. Okay, I’m out here in the treacherous waters, man. Yuck. Oh my god. You’re not going to believe what this looks like. Yuck. Scary. That’s pretty long. Here is the kitchenet. Sinks over here. Oh, I think this is a Let’s check out this mini bar. Bathroom shower tub situation. Whoa. First of all, what? Cleansing gel, foaming gel, freshener, essence, creamy gel. You have your pajamas, which is light purple. And then navy is what you can wear around the resort. Another cool thing about this hotel is that they provide spray since there are quite a few bugs here. And I happen to get eaten by mosquitoes quite frequently. So, I’m glad they provide this. Obsessed with these pants. Elastic waist pockets of course an elastic at the ankle which is nice. And hopefully this will keep the mosquitoes out of my pants. You think this is Well, that’s what you get around. Let’s see. Let’s see your little OOTD. Oh, beautiful. I’m pie cut. Day four of our Okanawa trip. Right now it is pretty rainy. It’s warm and muggy out but also rainy. So it’s very scary as a first time right hand side driver for Tyler. Oh wait. But we’re on the left side of the road but he’s on the right side of the car. Made it to the aquarium after an hour and a half rainy drive. We have to buy our tickets and then explore the aquarium. Don’t give a diamond. Wow. Flutter. Flutter. water. Continue for 2 km. Beans like Yeah. Then you go to visit neighboring islands. This is scary. Hey. Hey. Cuz initially I got the fork on this side and the spoon on this side and then I started switching it and then they switched yours by accident once and then switched it back and I was like, “Oh wait, the dessert is different. Was that a mistake?” They did it the same next time. So it’s for sure on purpose. So they’re hella attentive.
Feeling super grateful for this third trip to Japan! From the landscape to the food to the shell-lined beaches, Okinawa was a dream. It was our first time experiencing a summer-like climate in Japan so we weren’t sure what to expect. When researching for the trip, November seemed like a pleasant time to visit in terms of the weather. It was more humid than I was expecting but the temperatures were pretty mild. It only rained one day, off and on. Next time I’ll re-think my wardrobe if visiting again; focusing more on breathable fabrics with long sleeves/pants for sun protection.
It truly felt like paradise. I especially appreciated the laidback vibes and the peaceful beaches crawling with hermit crabs. We felt like characters in Pokemon or Animal Crossing with the vibrant island colors and plentiful wildlife. Definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
Next we head to Kyoto to meet up with my family—please like this video and subscribe for the next video!

OTS Rent-a-Car (Naha): https://www.otsinternational.jp/otsrentacar/en/ As first time international drivers the process was relatively easy! Apply for an international driver’s license and when you’re ready to book a car, OTS will have you complete the “prior precaution” test online before your arrival.
HOSHINOYA Resort (Yomitan): https://hoshinoresorts.com/en/hotels/hoshinoyaokinawa/ Excellent service and incredible food. Loved the modern architecture with local touches throughout the property, all while being surrounded by nature. There aren’t many food options nearby (other than what’s on property) so a car is recommended.
