JP04 – Tokyo to Osaka by Bullet Train 🚄 | JR Pass, Vegan Okonomiyaki & Dotonbori Walk!
So good morning, today we are finally going to Osaka from Tokyo. Our time in Tokyo is over, now we have come to the Shinkansen and here is our Shinkansen. The process of finding the Shinkansen is a bit confusing, so I am telling you to take an hour It was a bit confusing for us to take the Shinkansen tracks, to reach there, from the metro to here, it was a bit confusing. So take some time and come back, rest if you ask, we will help you, there is no problem. And we did not take JR Pass for Shinkansen, we bought tickets online. And because JR Pass was a bit expensive for us and we did not have to come back so much, we will come back from Osaka. So that’s why we bought only tickets. And we bought JR West Hiroshima Pass, we will tell you about that too, And now let’s go to Shinkansen and let’s see how it is inside. This is our train at 11 o’clock, it is already standing here, it has lined up, it is our 5 number carriage. And if you book a ticket online, then there is no need to exchange anything from anywhere. There is a QR code on it, scan it on the gate, there is a flap barrier, and after that you can enter directly. So there is no need to take too much tension. So guys, we are back in Shinkansen and this has already started from Tokyo and we couldn’t get anything to eat because we were very confused when we came to the station. So we couldn’t get anything to eat because we were very confused when we came to the station. So whatever we had from India, we will eat that now. The rest of the journey is going to take about 2.5 hours, it is already 11 o’clock and it will leave at 1.30 o’clock. So we have reached the Shin Osaka station and we have chosen the seats on the right side, which gives us a chance to see Fuji. Although we saw Fuji from very near yesterday, but let’s see if we can see it today or not. So guys, as I told you, we didn’t take the whole Japan Rail Pass. We made our trip according to that, so that we don’t come back to Tokyo. If we go from Tokyo to Osaka and then back from Osaka, then it may be that JR Pass would have been better. But our trip is such that we are going straight from Tokyo to Osaka and then we will come back from there. So for that, we booked two tickets from Tokyo to Osaka and Shinkansen. It was booked online and we had to book it about a month ago. So the Shinkansen ticket that we booked was about 17,400 rupees for both the people. And after that, we took JR West Pass to go to Osaka. JR West Hiroshima Pass. So we are going to use that for all the train trips that we had there. It was booked for 5 days. So that is about 20400 rupees for two people. So according to that, when we were calculating overall, we didn’t find it right to take the full JR Pass. So we took the regional pass. So hello, we have reached the station of Shin Osaka. This is our Shinkansen. So now we have to go to Osaka Metro from Shin Osaka Station. After that, we will go to our AirBnB from the Metro. So it is 1.30 pm now. We have reached the station at 1.30 pm. It is 1.30 pm now and we will check-in at 4 pm. So let’s see if we can exchange our JR Kansai Hiroshima Pass. And let me show you how to do that as well. So let’s go. So guys, if you want to exchange your JR Pass, the JR Kansai Hiroshima Pass, then you will have to come to the central exit. And this is the tourist information center, Shin Osaka travel service center. From here, you can exchange your JR West Pass. So we are also going to exchange here. So we have finally got our passes. These passes are valid for 5 days. And they are valid for 17,000 yen. And we will start using them from tomorrow, as I told you. So now we will go and eat something. After that, we will take the metro. Our AirBnB is near Shin Saibashi Station. So we will go there. So we are also at Shin Osaka Station. Wherever we come to Shin Osaka, I have seen a new thing here. I have seen it in Shin Osaka, why didn’t I see it? Station work. So these are station work boots here. So you can reserve your work here. And you can sit here and work. So basically, the work culture here in Japan, is being enhanced a little by this. That you can sit here and work. And you can reserve it for hours or for 15-20 minutes. Wait for the meeting and then leave. So now we have come to Shin Saibashi Station. And our check-in is at 4 o’clock. It’s 3 o’clock now. So we are looking for some coin lockers downstairs. We have reserved the small lockers there. But we couldn’t reserve the big ones yet. We will be roaming around with them for an hour. So let’s explore Shin Saibashi area now. So our AirBnB is also saying, that instead of 4 o’clock, check-in at 3.30. So now we are going, it’s about 10 minutes away. Let’s go and show you how the AirBnB is. We got off at Shin Saibashi Station. Now our AirBnB is 10 minutes away. So finally, we have reached after 15-20 minutes. Let’s show you our AirBnB. It’s on the 6th floor. This is again the Gankan area. You can take off your shoes here. And this is the bed in front. And this is the hangar. And this is the kitchenette. And again, there is induction. There is a sink. And rest, they have given utensils, whatever you want to use. There is a boiler. And this is an oven. And there is a kettle. This is a small fridge. And there is a balcony here. There is a small balcony here. But it’s just useful. And when we come back, this is the bathing area. It’s a very small bathing area. I will be able to stand alone in this. And this is the washroom. Again, the bed is the same. So this was our small, cute AirBnB for the next few hours. So hello, welcome to Osaka. We just rested for about 2 hours. We had reached around 4 o’clock. We rested for 3 hours. Now we are going to 7.30. Now we are going to see 2-3 Bori. Before that, 2-3 things are famous here in terms of food. One is Takoyaki. One is Okonomiyaki. And a couple of other things. So Takoyaki are octopus balls. And Okonomiyaki is a sort of pancake in which cabbage is added. So we are going to eat Okonomiyaki. And we will get a lot of it in 2-3 Bori. But we have also found a vegan restaurant. Let’s go there and eat Okonomiyaki. So let me tell you how it is. So we are going to our Okonomiyaki restaurant. Look at the vibe. The vibe is very chill. That was a bit formal in Tokyo. Osaka is a bit chill. Sit there comfortably. It’s a nice place. So this is it. Vegan vegetarian Okonomiyaki restaurant. Let’s go. Let’s see what is this. We have placed the order. We have placed Okonomiyaki. We have placed the vegan one. And we have paid about 1700 yen. We have put some vegan cheese on it. Let’s see how the food looks like. The vibe is very nice. Look around. There is graffiti on the walls. There are prints. The vibe is very Kasol type So our food is here. This is Okonomiyaki. This is rice. And this is salad. Let’s taste it. It’s very soft. It tastes good too. If you want to drink then you have to drink it once. Then put 200 yen coins in it. And you can drink from here. So hello. We have come to the Dotonbori area. So what you are seeing behind me this canal goes right in the middle of Dotonbori. And the street on both sides is called Dotonbori street. So this is the famous Don Quijote store on which Ferris wheel goes. Ferris wheel goes very slowly. We are not going to sit in it. There is a famous glycosine. Let’s go there and show you. You can see the crowd here. There is a crowd. Music Music Music Music Music So what you are seeing behind me this is the famous Glyco Man of Dotonbori. People know Dotonbori more than this. And we are at the Glico Sign in Dotonbori. You can see the crowd. There is always a crowd in Japan. And Osaka Expo is also going on in Osaka And there is a lot of activity going on around this sign. Look, we have a Spiderman roaming around. This is a funny Spiderman. So for today, we will end our vlog here. We were a bit tired. So tomorrow we will go to Kyoto and we will show you what is there in Kyoto and what kind of calm atmosphere or touristy is there in Kyoto. We will see that tomorrow. So goodbye, bye bye. And like, share and subscribe to the channel because tomorrow’s vlog will also be on this channel. Music Music Music
