Rebecca Hallett, who graduated from Cambridge University in 2012, has been a travel writer specialising in Japan.
Rebecca is a former pupil of St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Exmouth.
Now, her first book, Ultimate Japan: 100 Must-Do Experiences for the Trip of a Lifetime, has been published by Dorling Kindersley, a well-known reference book publisher.

Rebecca, who was a pupil at Colyton Grammar School, worked with Rough Guide before becoming self-employed.
Her work with DK was a commission, allowing her to share her love of Japan in her unique style.
Rebecca’s book has already been launched in Newcastle, where she currently lives.
She has a deep understanding of Japanese culture and language, having lived in Kyoto for a year and visited the country more than a dozen times.
Rebecca is proficient in Japanese and enjoys sharing her knowledge with others.
She is also a freelance writer and editor, focusing on sustainable and cultural travel, mostly in East Asia.
While her primary focus is on consumer travel, she also works in the B2B arena, offering her expertise in writing and communications.
