I visited Naha, Okinawa several times during my trip back to Japan. Surprisingly, I’ve only made one video—just one—for diving around the beautiful Kerama Islands. Only one video for such a stunning place… kind of funny, right?
Okinawa is full of places to explore, feel, and learn about the unique history of both Japan and the former Ryukyu Kingdom. Okinawa was once its own kingdom and has preserved a distinct culture that’s quite different from mainland Japan. Sadly, it’s also the only place in Japan that saw a land invasion during the final stages of World War II.
Getting around Okinawa without a car can be a bit tricky, so I recommend looking into guided bus tours or package trips to make the most of your visit.
