How to see it all in one day in Japan #japan #japantravel #osaka

This is the ultimate 1-day itinerary for the World Expo that requires zero reservations, and you get to see a little bit of everything.
First, go early to avoid crowd. Book 9:00 a.m. entry and get to the East Gate by 8:00 a.m. to be in when it open.
From 9 to 12:00, we’re going to popular pavilions like France, China, and Korea before the crowds come.
For lunch, grab a quick bite from the Target pavilion and try a limited edition expo soft serve. Then from 1 to 6 when lines are longer, go to a souvenir shop, explore the expo grounds, or check out the US or future city pavilions for a variety of experiences. After dinner, head to the Japan pavilion by 7 so you can walk in without a reservation and still have time to see the Midnight Rainbow Water Show and drone show before heading home. Follow me and Kevin for more of our experiences and tips of Yosaka World Expo.

How to have the most fun in Japan in one day 😁 Part 22 of our adventures at the Osaka World Expo 2025! πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅

While we spent 7 days at the Expo, we know most people may only have one day, so this is our recommended 1 day itinerary to see some of the best of everything while not wasting your time waiting in too many lines! It’s a taste of our favorite pavilions, experiences, food, hidden gems, and souvenirs.

We’ve broken it up into sections of the day:

By 8AM: Arrive at the Expo πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ
9AM: Enter Expo πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ
9AM – 12PM: Go to France, China, and Korea Pavilions. Korea is giving free Samsung earbuds/watch to every 10,000th visitor πŸ‡«πŸ‡·πŸ‡¨πŸ‡³πŸ‡°πŸ‡·
12 – 1PM: Lunch at Utage Pavilion, try limited edition Expo Cremia soft serve 🍦
1 – 6PM: Go to souvenir shop, explore the Expo grounds, and check out the USA or Future City Pavilions. USA has English tours every hour. We recommend going 45-60 min early πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
6 – 7PM: Dinner πŸ˜‹
7 – 8PM: Visit the Japan Pavilion – Japan allows non-reservation walk-ins between 7:30-8:30PM, but they will cut off the line, so we recommend showing up by 7PM πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅
8 – 9PM: See the Midnight Rainbow water show and drone show ⛲️

If you have more time to spend at the Expo, even better! But with one day, you can still see a lot if you use your time wisely and have the right expectations.

With one day, don’t expect to get reservations unless you planned ahead. So you can just show up with our suggestions, and still have a unique experience that will only happen once in our lifetime in Japan!
