Lets try that again! Shall we? Test stream from NAGASAKI Airport (NGS)

Hey, hey, hey. Heat. Heat. Well, good morning. Good afternoon. to those of you uh in New Zealand and elsewhere around the world. Um just coming up for uh 9:15 in Japan um here in uh Nagasaki as you can see by the uh carefully curated sign on the um on the hill over there. And uh up in the sky, we’ve got uh over the top of the We’ve got a flight which just took off and is uh look down to Right. Um, so the usual uh things. Uh, can you hear me? Okay. And um, uh, the, uh, pictures coming through. Spicy crystal clear. Can’t really hear me. Okay, let me fix that. Um, how’s that? Uh, Queenstown plane spotting. I’ve got uh plenty more um oomph that I can give it. Um but uh yeah, just let me know. I don’t sort of want to mix up uh too much. My mic isn’t working. I I think it is. Picture is fine. How’s the audio now? I have plenty more to give it. Anyway, uh so test test 1212. Thanks uh Let’s Camp for um popping in and uh doing a bit of moderation today. Hello everyone. Hello, Christine. Wonderful to see you. Sounds like you’re coming from the ambient mic. Wow, that’s interesting. Uh, let me switch that off and see if this is any better because I’ve got quite a bit switched on on that. I can switch it up even pace. Hello. Hello. How about now? Very wet. Roar. Yeah, I understand. Um, everywhere in the country is pretty much uh been drenched. Okay, sweet. Um, yeah, let me know how that is now. Yeah. Um, I heard that um that things haven’t been uh too flash on weather front in both New Zealand and Australia. Um, but uh yeah, judging by uh what I saw on OPN first thing this morning, um yeah, very nice in uh Queensland. Uh not perhaps so great in New South Wales. And um yeah, from uh from what I hear, it hasn’t been the best uh in uh Nelson Melbour sort of Tasmin area. Got some uh activity on that aircraft there, the Solar Sea. Um yeah, we actually um had the Anna come in earlier and um the pilots gave us a nice wave. And how’s that mic sounding now? Ley little bit of the old Yeah, a lot of activity going on on uh Anna in front of us. These guys uh when they came in actually gave us a nice way from the pilots, both of them. Um still very quiet. What the heck is going on with that? That’s That’s very very strange. Very very strange. Uh should not be the case. That’s all I can say. Turn that right up a bit more. Bit more. Bit more. Bit more. Yeah. I I’m not too quite not uh quite sure what’s uh what the story is. Uh let’s cam. I I turn things up quite a bit. And I can turn this one up a bit more. Hey, Christ Church Aviation. Good to see you guys. Not in school, obviously. Still school holidays, is it? That’s great. Um, yeah. Okay, I turned it way up. So, if I’m deafening you, I apologize. And I can turn it down. What unfortunately we can’t spin around and show you is a massive black walk just uh sort of whipped through uh behind the um terminal here and uh it’s gone over to the air base. Um never mind. We’re going to see a lot of those in Okinawa. Okay. Um so so hold your voices on the the military. Um, we did see plenty of um plenty of action uh here uh two days ago. It was Oh, it seems like a blur. Um and um yeah, we were just speaking to a lady here whose uh daughter is on this Anna flight and um she’s headed off to Tokyo to uh do some helicopter training and um yeah, so she’s uh very interesting um to have a female helicopter pilot in Japan. Um it’s it’s starting to break a few barriers down. I don’t want to be too controversial, but um it is ranked rather low on um the uh feminist scale for uh female freedoms and uh what have you. Well out well into the top 100. uh you know so looking at between 140 and 150 or so. Yeah. So um yeah that’s uh that’s really interesting news. Um and uh yeah so she’s here obviously very excited to see her daughter um take off uh to go to Tokyo um and do some uh helicopter training. Here’s a long wheelbase model of the uh fair shape may come in from uh Osaka I think. Um I will get up my flight radar in a moment and start actually in front of you and Yeah. So, obviously this is going to be the focus for a short time. Um so promised the lady that we would um capture the uh take off and um all the ground activity and so on. So we’re going to do that. The really annoying thing with light radar is it just does not show the lights on uh like they are at all. Um so that um Yeah, that that shape wasn’t that going too long. Let’s uh catch up with you in the chat. And um yeah, let’s see how well we’re doing on the old uh as far as sound. How’s the sound? Is it improved at all? Heat. Heat. Heat up here. And solar seat is going out as well. So, two aircraft shooting out and we’ll pick up solar seed in the moment. But, um, yeah, solar seed the other day. Um, we had uh very interesting deliveries. Um, we get the uh Miyazaki uh delivery which is very colorful. Let me just spin around and get you this plane chain. Solar seed. Still very bright green. Lime green. Solar seed is uh Kyushu based. Um, Kyushu is um the third largest of the main Japanese islands. Um, the smallest of the four is Shikoku. Um but uh yeah they’re dwarfed in comparison to um Honchu of course with uh the likes of Tokyo, Osaka, Hiroshima, Sai um all cities with uh much larger populations than Nagasaki. And um as I was informing you the other day, um Nagasaki is around about the same size as Christ Church uh but with much better infrastructure in my humble opinion. They’ve got uh trams that work um and go everywhere and they’ve been working um for years and years and years, those things. Um we also have um buses here which go everywhere. Um and a uh shinkansen which um variously connects us to um uh panda. The leppy is in fact nicely shaded. Um, I’ve uh, yeah, I’ve taken better care of it today. Um, the other day we came to the airport on a bus, believe it or not. And, um, today we came in our friend’s car. Um, quite a bit better uh, situation. Um, and of course, well and truly air conditioned. Um, and the bag the other day in the bus was um in the hold and uh yeah, that wasn’t uh that wasn’t uh taken care of very well. Um, but today it’s uh really really nice. Um, it there’s a little bit of a gentle breeze um which is sort of taking the edge off of the temperature a bit. Um, otherwise it’d be uh fairly oppressive. Um, the other day it was um over 35° when uh I was uh trying to to get my stream off. And uh this uh today um I would say uh it’s around about 30 31 something like that. I’ll shut up now. Fore! Foreign! Foreign! Yeah, unfortunately again we’re a bit compromised by the uh cage we are kept in here on the viewing platform. um if you’ve any ever been to um any major international airport and yeah I mean it’s it’s kind of a joke to uh refer to Nagasaki as an international airport. It has uh three international destinations. one of which is suspended for the time being I believe. Um and that is um Hong Kong uh usually serviced by uh Hong Kong Express. Um and yeah, today um we I I thought we were going to get Korean in, but um I checked again and it doesn’t look like we’re going to. So really bit disappointed uh about that. and right. So that’s solar seed out of here. So solar seed, the lime green ear line if you’re wanting to um play the color charts at home. Um try and figure out uh what you’re looking at. There is Nagasaki bright green as well. Mrs. Cool. Yeah, 4K is also here. And um yeah. Ah, hungachi. Hankihato. Arato. That’s who this snake. I can hear a helicopter. The distinctive sound of a very large helicopter. Unfortunately, we might not get to see it. If uh if I can possibly do it, I will. Yep. Here it comes. Okay. Okay. Let’s see if I can do this. I’m a bit trapped. The tripod’s sort of against the Yep, that’s it. So, there we go. The Black Hawk. Yeah. So, he’s gone now. Yeah. So, that’s uh that’s a military uh action for the moment. I could hear him a long time before he turned up. A long long time. Um I can see an incoming flight. Um now if this was Christ stretch, I would be easily able to um get you around and we could watch it on the finals. But um here we’re sort of restricted to um just before touchdown. So you can see the uh there’s a long um guide slope indicator uh rail which reaches out into um Mura Bay or Murawang. Yeah. SR SR22. Right. Okay. Um I will describe the conditions as overcast. Um, here it’s it’s cloudyish, but it’s not too bad. Let me see if I can uh get this guy coming in. There we go. Yeah. Now, as I said before, um there seems to be a big uh lack of ADSB um around here um in that we don’t get much on flight radar at all. Um yeah. So, let’s have a we look and see who you were. arrivals bit earlier. Now that that uh aircraft is in from Osaka by the looks of things. There we go. Yeah. So if anybody has any better um flight radar information than I have. Um yeah, a little bit of a bounce. Oh my goodness. Look at that. Alphabet soup of a name. Alphabet soup of a name. Hello Sam. How are you doing? You certainly stand out. You won’t have very many characters left for your comments, unfortunately. And uh anybody who’s doing any replies is not going to get uh very many. Uh there’s a very wet and very wet. Well, yeah. I’ve heard it described as um not too bad because um you know, compared to um places like Nelson and uh Machua and uh and places like that in the Tasine um where some of my family are living. Um yeah, it’s um it’s quite a bit drier, but um here we are. Sports sports plane. cute little thing. Look at him. He snuck up on me. These little ones are um hard to spot. Um as I was saying earlier, um Nagasaki is an international airport in the same way that um perhaps um uh Deneden and uh recently um our friends in Hamilton have um now got an international service back. Of course, they used to be international uh airlines which uh turned up. Um we got uh Can I see him out there? Want to pick this up. So just sort of quite low over the bay there. Can we see him? It’s very low. I wonder what he’s doing. Actually, that’s the limit of my uh zoom unfortunately on this particular camera. Sorry, we’re just uh discussing what the heck guard that uh aircraft is doing out there. And I’ll just focus on this little red guy here for the time being. Yeah. Um he’s just doing circles that uh dash Q400. I have no idea really what’s going on. I will get my interpreter here in a moment. and uh we will attempt to establish exactly what’s going on. Um I was going to try and uh get ATC working today. Of course, ATC is banned in New Zealand, but it’s perfectly fine here in Japan. So, um yeah, I was just going to um see if I can uh cook some up for us. But uh first things first, get uh sound and uh pictures. And uh yeah, we go. And he’s still circling very low like like he’s I’m going to say maybe 500 to 1,000 ft. You know, sort of um around about 300 m. Unfortunately, the tyranny of these wires is restricting the uh restricting the camera’s ability to focus on that gun. Come right back here. You can see wires which you cannot see in the aircraft. Yeah. So that guy was uh just um doing circles of of mura. Um yeah. And uh now he’s coming around for a very steep approach. My goodness. Very steep approach. I’ll just show you um these cute little um ATR 42s. Short base model. Okay. Um, this is an interesting situation. This landing seems to be all right. Very dipsy dipsy on that landing. Safe enough. Very interesting situation. I wonder why he was um sort of doing some circles there for a while. Maybe he was just too uh heavy or something. Very strange. It’s enough. Yeah. 4:30. Yeah. Um, so, uh, was Mike or, uh, Sean streaming? That would have stressed the batteries. Yeah. I wouldn’t have liked to have been uh up there that long. Toasty, warm. That’s Japan Airlines for you. Interesting. And he’s of course off to Tokyo. um is JL505. Let me just show you a little bit of what they do. Ground services, for example, they have four guys um working on this. In New Zealand, you’d never have four guys working on something. Heat. Heat. ATR42 short base model as our friends at in plane site um keep reminding us. So yeah, as I was saying they have four people um ground servicing this uh aircraft which uh you would never see that in New Zealand. um four people actually uh doing the push back. So unless there’s some training going on um of course this guy holds the uh pin up here if you remove the pin. Here it is. Um you’re not going to have any lock steering. You’ll be able to actually uh navigate the aircraft around. That’s great. Um, our cube’s famous for his fairy shots. Um, this one’s a little smaller, but come in. There’s a 788. And almost certainly it’s coming from uh Tokyo. So if I start pronouncing it right, Tokyo. And um he’s going to park right in front of us. So, don’t worry about that. We’re going to get to see a 787 right up close. Now, as I was saying before about the ferry, that is the ferry that uh we take. It’s a tiny little boat. Takes about I’m going to say 35 40 people. Um fast ferry. And um yeah, it whips whips across to um a suburb of Nagasaki called Togitsu. Um and um if you go that way and catch bus, you can actually get into town sometimes faster than going all the way down the uh what uh they call the expressway here. And that does take some time. Oh, I can hear a helicopter. Here’s a helicopter. This is a medical. There we go. Now, if Telly and Zed was here, he’d be um telling us all about it. So, this is a little helicopter just rocking up there. Amen. Amen. Oh, so he’s sat down for the moment obviously waiting for something. Oh yes, our little red friend is back. So these guys look like uh twins actually. So that’s another little another little red one has uh turned up to keep its mate company. So it’s a little bit like the uh flight training school at um Christ Church. Um the majority of the uh aircraft seem to be painted white and red. So there you go. Don’t know where he’s going to get off that guy cuz the helicopter is on this taxi way. He normally would exit. Yeah, he would normally exit right there and uh the helicopter is blocking it. So yeah, it’s not as if the helicopter couldn’t sit down on the grass or something off to one side and then that little guy could get out of there nice and efficiently. But uh yeah, there we go. As I said, this uh 7878 model. Um and of course, Anna was the first airline to take delivery, the launch customer of the Dreamliner. Um and uh launched with launch with uh the 788 and uh yeah. So, here he comes. And we’ll see if we can get a wave out of the cockpit on this one. Usually, they will wait until they’ve um parked it up and then they’ll give us a Here comes the noise. One thing at a time maybe Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. out for a wave there. That doesn’t seem to be forthcoming. Long take off road around the other side. Just in the wrong position. I might go back to um that helicopter again. cuz he’s just sort of sitting there not really doing much. So, let’s see if we keep him inside what he might get up to. Yeah. So that helicopter is a lot smaller than the uh big guy that we saw the military one massive black hawk. Yeah. So it’s um it’s nice and toasty warm. Um, yeah, it might say 28 or 29 or something like that, but I believe you me it’s uh quite a bit warmer than that. So, they’re all waiting for someone. Um, and it can’t be you cuz you have arrived. Can’t be you. Folks coming off the Tokyo flight appearing to sit there. Yeah. Let me see what you got in the chat. Hello. 29 at 10:00 a.m. Yeah, I believe you me, it’s actually probably warmer than that. I think it’s probably a little bit light. Um, let me see if I’ve got this chat things working. I’m just going to try and see. Hey, telly two sheep. Good to see you, mate. Are you okay? Um I I have to read back in the chat. Yeah, I hadn’t heard from you for a while. I probably should uh should have reached out touch. I’m about to switch on. Is that working? Yes, it is. Oh, good. Momentarily I’m about to turn on my fan, which I thought turned on. There we go. So, I bought a fan for the laptop. Um, Mr. Siki also bought me some um other bits and pieces to um improve the cooling options. Um I conveniently left him um at our um apartment. So yeah, in the rush to get ready first thing. Um yeah, that didn’t work out too well. So she wasn’t best pleased. Anyway, we have lots of uh umbrellas um helpfully supplied by uh Nagasaki Airport. Oh, that’s great. Everyone’s busy, mate. But yeah, if you’re feeling poorly, um it’s good to know that there are people out there that uh care about you. Yeah. Hey, look, somebody with a working flight radar. Yeah. Sky 141. No, it will. Um this is um this is our only real way of getting to um Okinawa from um Nagasaki is via Coobe. So you have to go halfway up Honshu in order to get back to Okinawa. There used to be a direct service between Nagasaki and uh Naha. Naha is the main airport on Okinawa. Uh designation is OKA, not to be confused with Oklahoma or any of those places in the states, but um yeah. Um yeah, it’s uh really inconvenient for us. So what we do is um we grab a bus, not a Shinkansen because um as I said before um they’re a little bit compromised that uh that beautiful Shinkansen which is a bit like um lighting in Malfa Romeo. Um the shape of it is just tremendous. It’s very futuristic. Um yeah, so we get a bus to Fukuoka and take the flights from Fukuoka. And as I was saying on Monday, um relative size Nagasaki about 400,000 Christ Church about the same, but of course um the hinterland of uh Nagasaki is quite a bit bigger than the the South Island of New Zealand. Um, so they can on about 13.1 million people in the on the island of Kyushu, which is southern most of the four main islands of Japan. Um, of course, uh, Fukuoka is the largest city in Kyushu and it has a population in the greater area of about 2 and a half million. So um you know think Oakland size um as as far as population of course the infrastructure is just phenomenally better than uh in than the likes of Oakland. They have working uh underground. They have shinkansen to connect to all the other major centers in in the country. They have an international airport. Um and uh yeah it services um a lot of international destinations. It’s a very very nice city. It’s a little monitor. There you go little buddy. Out of here. done some more flight training. Um, let me just uh quickly show you a working radar cuz I know um we’ve been having fun and games with uh the radars in Christ. But, uh there’s one and she’s spinning around like a top. Works absolutely perfectly. Let’s go. Let’s wait for Sky Mark. But in the meantime, we’ve got um long wheelbase Q400 dashy. I can’t give you a fairy shot, but I can give you a tanker shot or a bridge or barge or something like that. What is he? He’s out there somewhere just against the Yeah. Let me just try and get this focused. There we go. That’s a bit better. So out there is not a fury but a very large vessel. Checking away. quite old school really. Let’s get round to um planes which is the main object of this uh channel. Yeah, let me come over here and catch you up there. Air ambulance. Uh hank. Yeah. Yeah. This uh must be the uh low rider. Must be cruising down LA Boulevard or something like that. You know the low riders in the back cruising cruising. rattle rattle out of the some cargo bins from ANA and we can uh show you the last few of those going on board this uh 787 um once we get uh this dashy out of here. Certainly taking his time. Okay. So, let me go down. Yeah. So, um our plan was to be here um probably until 12 Japan time, which is another couple of hours. But um we may be able to uh sort of extend that a bit, but uh really depends on uh on the traffic and uh what’s going on and uh how well your host can actually cope with the conditions. Looks like he’s Certainly got the throttles up, but uh brakes are still right. It’s not really going anywhere. Yeah. They better hurry sky sky mark shades of jet star and um Emirates e don’t want a pet of that wouldn’t wasn’t the best look but uh yeah sky can’t be that far away surely I should be seeing some sign of Snark. I cannot see him yet. There we go. Look around for a moment and um everything changes. One job, Sigy. One job. Videoing planes. Videoing planes. That’s all you got to do. Videoing planes. You’re videoing some planes. People look at them and they go, “Thank you very much.” Okay. So, a bit more cargo loading going on on this uh 787 as I was saying. Um, I’ll just uh focus on that a little bit and uh let you uh carry on. I’ll come over and uh see if I can catch up with you in the chat. Just in time. Yeah. Creating suspense. Yeah. Now, I was actually um looking at my setup and making sure that everything is uh going to stay intact. I’m going to get no breeze sort of blowing any of the I have two umbrellas. Uh one shading windscreen and one shading laptop. And uh yeah, bit of a situation. I try not to bump my drink into my microphone. That won’t sound good. It won’t taste good either. Heat. Heat. One minute out, you reckon? Okay, let’s scoot around. I don’t see anything. I don’t doubt you for a minute. I do see him now. Here we go. Right. Yes, he is. He’s He’s out there. Definitely coming. Well done. Uh let’s camp. Well spotted. Yes, he’s nearly on the end. Here you go. Mr. Sky Mark in from Corair. Um and uh yeah. So, Nagasaki services the um Canai region with Skyart going to Coobe. Anna goes to Oaka airport. That was not good. Good. I love it. That’s a bit better. So, we’ll flag that one. Yeah. So, um Skyark Sky go to Coobe. Um Anna go to Osaka and Peach. um the bright pink purpley uh livery uh they go to Kai and you would think that um Anna being the larger well the parent company of um both of these both Skyark and Peach are majority I think owned by Anna um you would think Anna would take the lion share by actually going to from Osaka Kansai. Um but they don’t they go to Itami instead. Um Itamia is sort of a bit like yeah a bit like having the airport downtown. So when you’ve got the airport downtown, it tends to get used a bit more. That’s the definitely the case with um Haneda in um in Tokyo um because it’s right downtown. Um a lot of people use it and it’s definitely the domestic hub of choice in uh Tokyo. And uh that’s that’s the situation um in Osaka. Of course, Osaka is um more than just Osaka. is uh Kyoto and Nara um which is sort of uh they’re a little bit north of north and east of um of Osaka and uh because of that um they can uh they can easily reach the Canai airport which is probably where um they get the domestic roots for peach. And uh yep, looks like we’ve got a bit of a push back going to go on once we get our loading vehicle out of the way. So, we’ve got the loading vehicle still on the side there. So, there’s obviously people still inside the aircraft. The doors definitely haven’t closed yet. See some come out. So equal opportunity uh employer obviously got uh female ground staff. There we go. And I’ll catch Sky Marty Gate. Here we go. So Sky Mark is a really nice lowcost carrier now just coming around. So we go one job. One job. Heat. Heat. Heat up here. This one pretty little hot. What happens after they’ve all arrived? All sorts of activity goes on underneath. Make sure it’s all properly stopped. Swing the over. Hook on. over here. Let’s catch up with you. And it’s Yes, it is. I’m certainly uh starting to feel the effects of uh the heat, but I try and keep the old fluids up by drinking as much. Uh, I might run that vending machine dry by the end of the day. Never mind. There’s plenty of uh plenty of fluids in there. And ice cream as well. Ice cream vending machine. Wouldn’t see one of those in New Zealand. Oops. Something crackled at the moment there. That’s a bit It’s Peter. This is something air control 115. So, this guy sitting in front of us, apparently, according to that announcement, is delayed until 11:05, which means he’s going to sitting on the craft for about 30 minutes. And that’s all down to air traffic control apparently. So, here we go. Maybe they got their controllers from Christ Church. Ouch. Great guys and girls. Yeah, they’re definitely not going anywhere soon, I don’t think. And um they do have a large one more loader at the back which hasn’t been cleared yet. So um can spin you over to it. You can see that that loader there has not been cleared. And um I think they probably indicate that with this cone. Are we below cones? Here we go. Arrived. That’s another Sky Mark. Let’s connect. That’s uh smaller. I guess it’s a dashy long rear base model. And he’s going a long long way down. And he’s taking off again. What is going on? Yeah. Right. Bit of a surprise. expect 6 4 I don’t think Mrs. Siki will be up for that. Mr. Let’s camp. Did see an awesome dragon dance the other night at a function that I was at. Um it went on for a we while um and had uh Chinese traditional instrumentation. Of course uh Japan and Nagasaki have quite cultural close cultural ties to China and uh Chinatown here in Nagasaki is unbelievably busy. Um it’s sort of really one of the happening places and it’s certainly you know got a little bit more I say grunge sort of grind to it. A little bit more edgy than the clean cut sort of uh aspect that you get in the west of Japan. Um yeah, it’s um it’s definitely uh definitely got a bit going on for it. Um yeah, I guess uh I would say uh similar in the way that Osaka is seen as a slightly edgier um mage major city compared to Tokyo which is very clean and uh prim and proper and all the rest of it. Um but yeah, um definitely um Chinatown in Nagasaki is really quite quite a cool place to go and visit. Um when we were there the other night through a bit of uh activity a few walkthrough videos. Yeah. If only I had a gimbal um that I could um perhaps do some of those. So So you know maybe um maybe you know some of those might be on the on the cards. I will um definitely uh definitely look to do that mate. Uh yeah, I’ll pop it pop it up on the uh the alternative channel. SKI’s walkabout videos and uh hope the uh pilots have got nice air conditioned cabin. Certainly a bit warmish out here. I might wander off and get myself a uh drink from the vending machine. I should send my assistant over to get it, but um she’s sort of over in the corner um consulting her phone as she does. But yeah, I’ll go and uh grab myself another beverage and uh be back with you shortly. All right, here’s here. There’s a few more of those containers uh being loaded down the back there. Let’s see if I can just focus in on that a bit. Let’s see. One or two more of those. Yep. Back with you shortly. Heat. Heat. for All righty. I lost my fluffy. I lost my fluffy. It’s going to be a bit loud for a bit. All right. Heat. Heat. Yeah, that aircraft He’s doing touch and goes. That guy came in, did a landing, and then took off again. Now he’s circling around. So clearly, it’s improving sight of some sort. Um, I’m going to see if I can focus on him. I can hear the back big helicopter. proven flight of some description. Okay. You reckon? Well, if I turn around, I can see them. I can’t this flight radar thing. Oh, I can see him now. I can see him now. Here we go. The forest of security poles getting in the way. So, we’ll be able to see them come through there. I will try and get right in here. Jet Star. It’s Jet Star, but not as we know it. And no, they’re not one of the ones that is going to be uh closed down. Um that’s Jet Star Asia. This is Jet Star Japan. Um I would say it’s probably a bit more luc lucrative. Another massive black hawk. Um. Oops. Flying over the back of us. Yes. Yes. It is like being back in Christ Church, mate. Very true. still doing but not as we know. Yeah, I can’t wait to get to Okinawa and actually show you guys a lot of the military bits and pieces that go on down there. Um I have heard that there are open days at um Kadina which is one of the main military bases uh US military bases down there. Um, I’ve heard that it’s possible to um get access um and yeah, so obviously probably wouldn’t be the best idea to stream, but um yeah, since uh since I’ve got a gimbal, um I think I might be able to get some really really good interesting things. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I’m totally freezing here in Christ Church. And oh, it’s raining outside. It is so rainy outside. I had to go to the vending machine and get myself a bottle bottle of freezing cold drink because I’m so cold. hot chocolates on there. Still the CEO models. Um, and wasn’t that a treat to see um the replacement for Quantis turning up on um Sid Scott the other day and this morning on um a new planes Network it flew up to um Brisbane. How awesome is that? um have to confess I didn’t know that they were going to be on. So um I didn’t uh take advantage and uh jump on their stream early enough to actually catch it, but uh wound it back and obviously saw it then. But uh yeah, the A321 XLR. It’s a very very capable aircraft and uh probably don’t need them in Japan. Um longest flight time I think would be from Saporro all the way down to um like Sishiaki. Um so from the far north all the way down to um the far south of the country. Um and that probably is going to take the best part of three and a half maybe 4 hours on a jet service. Let’s see. That’s perfect. Raining in 5°. I will inform Mrs. Siki that she’s missing absolutely nothing by being here. We’ve got a wee baby on plane coming in. Um, little twin jobby. Let’s see if I can spin around and pick him up. There we go. Lovely little thing. He will probably do a touch and go. Yes, they have been. If we go up, can you see it? Yeah, he’s taking off again. So, this son this dash which has been doing the proving flights still up there. Let me see if I can clear a little bit more river and see if I can actually see him. Nope. and things just going to lie completely on. Okay. To wind my fan up a little bit more. So, I could run the top down a little bit more and give it some more shade. Dashy. Yes, this Dashy inbound has been on the proving flight. I fully expect him to do a touch and go. He’s been doing circuits. This guy. So, you’ll come in My setup is not the best. Okay. He has actually decided that he’s going to um call it quits for lunchtime or something. Um from actual inbound. It astonishes me that they do circuits and circuits and circuits and then decide that they’re going to land at a relatively un populated uh airport because uh yeah, there’s not really that much going on here. Focus on my little friend. Okay. So, what is it? armor which was doing circuits. Seriously, it was doing circuits out on the way. And over the back we had yet another black hawk sort of come in and make it landing. So I should probably be on the lookout for anything else. Uh now we friend Looks like he wants to have another guy. All right. There seem to be a few more passengers arriving for this aircraft. Tokyo service. They don’t seem to be in any hurry. Oh, the lady who was uh Yeah, just gave the uh lady who was um talking to us about her daughter um doing a helicopter service in Tokyo was off on this aircraft that on this aircraft to Tokyo. So yeah, very interesting. It’s always more fun when you actually know somebody who’s actually on the plane. 20 minutes Jan SJ like something. Yeah. How are we doing now? live. Yeah. Solar seed. Oh, yes. I can actually see it on me. Hey, let’s camp. I actually have a working flight radar. Ah, look at that. Okay, it’s just pasta and he’s on the way. way. So, it does not take very long to get from Fukuoka to Nagasaki direct. Shine the light. You probably should have told her. I I didn’t really ask her. I didn’t actually realize that she was going on the on on a flight to um to uh Tokyo as well. I thought she was just seeing her daughter off, but turns out yes, yet another black hawk. Let me see if I can spin around a bit of a look at it. Here we go. Yeah, a bit difficult to uh see that one, but uh all good as they say. Here we go. We’ve got a uh a dashy coming in. This might be Eurosaka flight. Let’s camp. I reckon cuz um that other aircraft that landed just earlier um was definitely the one that had been flying around um on a proving flight. Yeah. So, as I said, um the flight from Fukloa to Nagasaki, which they do not do, um because it’s really very short distance, um it’s about the same I guess it’s a it’s a 2hour drive. Um so I would say it’s roughly the same as maybe Oakland to Talonga or Oakland to maybe uh a little bit south of Hamilton. Um yeah, but um roughly roughly in that neighborhood as far as distance is concerned and of course the flight time just makes it completely army to um to load up an aircraft by the time you have all your security and what have you um to fly what is only a 20 30 minute flight even on the clock. Um yeah, it’s just not going to be economically feasible. Um it’s okay if you’ve got a body of water in the way like the Cook Straight or something like that. So the Wellington to Blenham or Wellington to Nelson service. Um probably there’s probably plenty of uh takers for that. But um yeah, for for Koka to uh Nick Saki, not so much, especially as they’re supposed to have a working Shan, which connects them both. Now, they used to have a perfectly adequate um highspeed rail um which connected them. Um but then they want to go ahead and build a shink in to catch up with the big boys. Um it gives them a lot of credit. They built a beautiful beautiful track. Um there’s one problem. Um Japan is sort of run on a regional basis. um almost like a federation. Um and if a particular province doesn’t like um that uh doesn’t like uh something to doesn’t want something to happen in its area, in its backyard, um then it doesn’t happen. um even with the federal government. Um I’m going to say in some respects that’s not entirely true. Um there’s a bit of politics involved in Okinawa of course with the US bases and that um but um yeah as far as as far as allowing things to happen in your backyard. Um, yeah. So, what’s what’s happened with the Shing Town is it’s supposed to run from here, Nagasaki, to Fukuoka all the way. Okay. Now what happens is there’s um a another sort of province in the way uh which is called Saga Saga and uh it um has sort of said no we don’t want the Shinkansen going through us because we think we’re going to be left out when I mean who’s going to who’s going to use it to uh what is effectively 15 minutes on a train on a Shinkansen to SA. Um whereas it probably takes the best part of um 354 minutes to actually drive there. Um but um yeah so they have stymied the um the full functioning of the Shinkans the new Shinkansen from Nagasaki um to um Fukuoka which is a real pity real shame because it’s a beautiful beautiful train. Um, I think I’ve got Hey, Robbie Batista. Great to see you. Great to see you. Hello and uh, welcome from a nice and uh, crispy warm Nagasaki International Airport. I use um, air quotes around the international part. There are two working international routes. uh one of them is to uh Korea um and the other one is to Shanghai and unfortunately neither of them are in effect today. So um we’re we’re not uh we’re not going to see um not going to see uh 7300 landing. Um, and we’re not going to see uh Korean Air, which is the other operator, which uh flies to uh Soul, of course. Now, let me see. They’re all set. Um, I’m going to grab a quick drink and I’ll be back with you in a moment. Heat. Heat. Heat up here. All right. Um, I’m going to go for another one of our ferryy shots. Not as big as the Inter Islander or the Blue Bridge. And I hear that um, Blue Bridge got a new ferry. They seem to be running that service reasonably contently. And uh well, apparently it’s the same size as the vessel that it’s replacing. So they don’t have to build any more infrastructure in Pikton or Wellington. Surprise. So yeah, uh that uh little ferry takes um about can I say half an hour to get from here at the airport to um to which is a suburb of Nagasaki sort of over the hill and it’s uh definitely quite progressive and uh got some nice new housing in there. Heat. Heat. So, neither of the engines uh have started up. So, we’re going to hear the startup and see them absolutely dead still. So, it’s pushed right back. You’ll hear those start up and it should be wonderful. Really, really pleased. We’ve got the microphone, ambient microphone well set up to um to pick up the sound. relax. Okay. Heat up here. Well, it’s not as flash as the uh sound you get from a G90 or a Rolls-Royce Olympus, but um yeah, it’s a very nice sound. So apparently that’s some seed from Tokyo. and and I’m going to pick that it’s probably Tokyo Han Tokyo Narita. Here we go. Heat. Heat. That service only used three ground support staff. Thank you.
Hi Right. Well, uh, that one disappears out there. Let’s, uh, look around and get Mr. Solid coming to the gate. And it looks like he’s going to take the same position as the 787 just left. So, in front of us here. Fortunately, no special delivery on this source here today. Got lucky the other day. Heat up here. Heat. Heat. Okay, I left both mics on, so we got the full blast. Hi, Colin. Um, good to see you, mate. Um yeah, Solar Seed uh is based here in Kyushu, which is the southernmost of the four main Japanese islands. Has a population of around about 13.1 million people. So a a good uh two and a half times the size of uh New Zealand as far as population is concerned. But um yeah uh it’s actually the Kyushu itself is actually much smaller than uh the North Island. So imagine 13.1 million people crammed into um about Tapo South I would say. So yeah, Solar Seed are um a lowcost carrier and um yeah, they’re um partially owned by um Anna. Anna own them. They own a large portion of Skyark. This this airline here, of course, the Anna parent which is popping out over here at the moment. 787 down for Tokyo. We just met a passenger on this flight who’s off to Tokyo uh to uh see her daughter who left on an earlier flight because uh she’s going to do some helicopter training in uh Tokyo of all places. So yeah, um she’s studying at a university, you know, sort of like a technical college, I guess, um to learn to be a helicopter pilot. So very similar to our aviation academy or um uh Christ Church helicopters where you can do flight training and all that sort of carry on. Um and uh yeah so uh but uh yeah very rigorous uh and formal education and um yeah it was her daughter who was going to do that. So again on equal opportunities and uh good to see um female helicopter trainee. So, Sky Mark, um I’ve been on Sky Mark several times. Um I actually really like it. Um you can for here’s here’s the thing. You buy an ordinary ticket and if you want first class priority, you pay you rock up to the um counter and you say, “I’d like a priority seat, please.” And then they say, “Oh, fine.” And then you just hand over the equivalent of about 10 12 New Zealand dollars and you get priority boarding, you get priority baggage handling and you get um free uh some free snacks. Normally you have to actually purchase them on the plane. So So it’s actually a no-brainer to uh to do the upgrade. And so whenever we fly on Sky Mark, we’re always um going for this uh priority seat, forward seat I think at the school. And so if you come to Japan and you’re looking for a um a lowcost carrier to get you from A to B, Skyark is a wonderful choice. Nice and loud. Oh. So yeah um own majority shares and quite a few of the lowcost carriers. Of course Peach is the other one that they own a substantial amount of. Now, Skyark, believe it or not, Skyark actually used to have an A380. And uh that A380 is now probably amongst the most beautifully liveried aircraft in the world. It’s the orange flying Hummer. And if you have a look at um if you have a look for Arma’s um A380 fleet, you’ll find the orange one and um that used to belong to Skyark. Now, Skyark was going to run it um as a mass transit um carrier between um between major Japanese cities. Um and that didn’t quite work out cuz they overextended themselves and ran into financial difficulties. Um and yeah, as a lot of uh firms firms did. um and they needed to um needed to find uh some more money and so um uh sort of stepped in and went, “Oh, well, we’ve got deep pockets. Uh yes, let’s buy you Oh, by the way, we’ll have that A380.” And uh they added it to the fleet of two that they already had. And so now they have three um A380s and they’re all in um pristine condition. Um they’re very new. Um they’re not much not much older than EVS A6 EVS which is the last A380 made which is in service with um Emirates. Um and of course for the longest time they weren’t flying in them anywhere. In fact, um I distinctly remember them flying them um on test cases um from um Narita to um Okinawa where we’re going to be in um a couple of weeks and um they they would fly them down there because the conditions in Okinawa are very very similar to those of Honolulu. Um, so, um, yeah, giving, uh, giving the crew and the aircraft and the handlers and all the rest of it a bit of a bit of a workout, um, whilst keeping it completely domestic, of course, um, no language barriers and all the rest of it. And, um, they could, uh, give all of their, uh, crew a good good amount of training, um, for their eventual introduction to service. uh to um Honolulu, which uh is the only route they fly, Narita to Honolulu. And uh two of them go out there and return um every single day. So that’s um that’s a good uh thousand seats in both directions and 2 * 500. And uh of course they have them in uh various classes. First class of course uh suites on the A380. Um very very nice indeed. See we can get you comes J. Very nice. Very nice. Get around. Catch up with them. I’m a bit compromised today with um my layout. I’ve got sort of cords running across the uh floor. So, I don’t um want to trip over them any more than absolutely necessary cuz we don’t want to um pull the stack down on top of this. Should be quote unquote B A. Let’s see. Two. Give you a bit of a look at the refueling situation. It’s one of the So do few carriers here. Here we go. Sky Mark to take off. Oh, terrific. So, this is a J and Brea and I think it’s a 175. Um, quite popular in Japan. They had uh We had one the other day and at Fukuoka the pilots gave us a bit of wave and quite frantic and uh that’s camp made some observation and I said I thought he was uh signaling for help. Either that or there was a bee in the cockpit and uh he’s practically trying to get rid of it which uh very enthusiastic with the waving on uh on that. have this Fuji Dream here. I don’t believe they’re actually uh there may be a a tie up with uh Anna or someone, but uh they operate out of Nagoya because these guys they do not. What have we got here? Very interesting. This is the um ATR42, the short wheelbase model. Beautiful little aircraft. Lovely delivery, too. Um there’s one of these in um Osaka um which you can see on um a channel called Captain Flying Honu. Captain Flying Hano is a good friend to the channel. Um I’ve met in uh in Osaka and uh we exchanged greetings and uh yeah got to meet my mother and uh unfortunately um I was under a little bit of time constraint last year. Um I was busy and on the way to somewhere else completely. I just happened to uh fly into um Osaka last year and was able to meet him. Um, and yeah, um, they’ve got this beautiful little ATR42 and I believe they call it the Makoto Chang. Um, it’s, um, it’s it’s, uh, livery is that of a dolphin and, uh, yeah, it’s very attractive little little aircraft. It just suits it perfectly. See if we can get you a decent look at it. They don’t hang around here um in the taxes. Not like stretch. They seem to up down the taxi ways a bit search. Um here um they done it um pretty nice. And uh when it gets to the uh shade down here, we’ll actually uh spin it 180, do a throw a U-turn in and face the aircraft um nose out towards the runway. It’s a interesting way of uh doing it. But uh that was that was how they were lining it up. And here we go. Um this is what they do in uh Brisbane and uh a lot of uh Australia where they will uh stop one of the engines and just cruise on uh the uh the the engine uh furthest away from uh where the passengers are going to get off. So the exit door. Um yeah, just uh little bit little bit safer I guess. Um that things are not spinning around. Um can’t even know. But there you go. Um but yeah, that uh that prop on that um left hand engine has completely stopped and they just uh they’ve just uh pulled it up now on the right hand engine and pulled it to a stop. There you go. So that was that was um our OC which um I think it it’s oriental regional something like I can remember and let me So, it’s reporting that it’s uh 31 here in Well, um it’s actually 31 downtown Nagasaki, but um I dare say it’s a bit warmer actually here. Um I saw the forecast for Amura which is sort of near the airport. Um and it was going to be more like 35 today. So yeah, I would I would hazard guess that that’s probably more likely to be what it is. May I have your attention, please? Teach for them to remind me that carry on battery to only items should not any contact if you have any questions. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. So, that uh flight unsurprisingly came in from uh Tokyo. Let’s see what this fuel handler guy is throwing his clothes back in there. I’ll be back with you moment. There you go. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Well, welcome back to um Nagasaki International Airport. Um and uh yeah, we’ve got um a little friend out here doing some like training or something like that. He um zoops around a bit, does a few touch and goes, does a few overflies and um yeah, we’ve seen him a few times. You can see what’s available. incoming. It’s uh King 40 Osaka has landed. Uh Tokyo has landed. So yeah, we’ve got nothing actually listed there on the incoming. So we will be seeing one departures 45 the jet star. We spin around in uh focus on the jet star. Allegedly that jet star is going to be um departing in not too distant future. So pull back a bit of course the security f in the way. There we go. So yeah, that security pole is a bit of a feature of um Japanese airports and uh if I’m fair um Sydney and uh some of the other big airports are a bit like it as well. Um not the most plain spotter friendly situation, but at least they’ve given Yeah, as I was saying, we’re suffering a little bit from the heat again. Um, and my road is super warm, Tony. So, let’s camp. So, here you go. The ice is melted. Um, Hopefully not for too long. I’ll try and put it here in a um of a bit of a tent. It’s just too too warm for it. So, um I’ll leave the stream running, but um I will um just and we turn the laptop off and just let it recover a bit. Um, cool down a bit. Um, I’m so uh yeah, join us. Join us in another half an hour. Um, yeah. Uh, let’s camp if you could. I can’t actually type that in at the moment. Um, so yeah, just let people know that we’ll probably be back in Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat up here. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Well, now that was an experience. So, um, what went wrong? Uh, what didn’t go wrong? Definitely overheated. Um, the laptop. The laptop for sure. Um, so yeah, we’re going to see if we can’t find a way of mitigating that. Um, yeah. Um, here’s a Coast Guard aircraft. Looks like some sort of SAR. Probably tell me it’s better. But um yeah, just uh let us know if we are in fact um live and in action. Thanks very much. Heat up here. So, I’ve made a nice tent out of a couple of umbrellas. I’ll um post a bit of a picture of it shortly, but uh yeah. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Take three. Yep. Take a Yep. Why don’t you? Yeah, I could uh smash a half a dozen right about now. And they would have to be cold ones. Ice cold. That doesn’t fit YouTube’s guidelines. I’m sorry. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. The next stop I Please allow. Okay. So, um I’m wondering why those guys are um are hanging around out there. Yeah. Let me have a look. different view to Christ Church. Yes, mate. Very, very much. Apparently, um it’s a bit cold and a bit rainy in Christ Church. So, um yeah, here’s some sunshine and here’s a bit of warmth. You can probably take 20° of it. No, maybe I tell you what, I’ll give you I’ll give you 12. Uh I I could live with 20 right now and the laptop definitely could. But um yeah, good to good to see you. Um JPM on here. So this Coast Guard is waiting for someone. Um, the Japan Airlines 73, which you can’t see because it’s a clue behind a sign. Um, and uh, yeah, that’s that’s waiting for someone, too. Ah, here we go. We’ve got some get some action. Got some action. Here we go. On the uh, Coast Guard. Looks like a SA of some sort. Um could probably look up the uh registration. Um but anyway, it’s Japan ease Coast Guard. um which seem to operate a little bit out of here. Um this guy was doing touch and goes earlier. Um it’s actually gotten quite hazy. Um I I used to be able to see across the bay um the hills very very well. Um but uh definitely um a bit of um the old haze is coming. Here’s another Okay. So, he’s safely out of there and we’ll have a Japan Airlines 73 to follow it. It’s making a motion towards uh getting on the runway. So, he should pop his nose out from behind that security pole in a moment. There we go. 1258 Japan Airlines. and he’s of course going to Tokyo. It’s well late actually. Um they’re about running about half an hour behind. Not exactly sure why, but um yeah, they are. So there we go. It’s not down to the weather. It’s beautiful. Okay. But uh you’d be happy with 18 or so, wouldn’t you? I’ll have I’ll have the 20. You can have the 18. But I I tell you what, um it is it is warm. It is too warm for the laptop. And it was too warm two days ago for the laptop. I’ll shut up and uh let you listen to the glory of these engines taking off. He was a long way down. So safely on his way to Tokyo. Um so give you an idea of the scale of Japan. Um I would say that flight on um jets takes the best part of 2 hours. Um, yep. So, imagine sort of flying back again. That’s pretty much as far as it um has to fly in order to get to Tokyo from Nagasaki. Yeah. Computer was kind of on fire. Um, it it was unhappy. So, it’s an unhappy neck. Um, I think next outdoor is going to be this peach. So, let me um let me whip around and uh see if we can focus on the peach. Oh no, guess what I missed? Something much much much much bigger. Thank you flight radar for absolutely not working at all. So um that guy is a 787-8. Um of course Anna was the uh launch customer for the 787 and uh the original aircraft was a 788. And um yeah, it’s going to park right down here in front of us and the ground crew guys and uh one petite girl um are going to um set it up down there and uh it’s uh it’s going to come in and uh be docked. And they use two um two gates or two uh air bridges. one for first class effectively premium class I think it is on uh Anna and um and then the uh the rest of the passengers go through the um the second gate into the rear of the aircraft. No passenger stairs here in uh Nagasaki. Don’t force people to walk across the tarmac and so on. Read my messenger. Okay, let me see if I can find my messenger. Read my messenger. JP Mack, you legend, mate. You absolute legend. Thanks so much. Um, now I now I know I for some reason I’m not getting these alerts, but uh Oh, yes, now I do. I can see them now. Um, the the the problem with this screen, this setup, and I’ll publish it later, is it’s really really hard to um actually see. Um, if I whip round JPM, JPM, this helicopter is for you, mate. Thanks a lot. There you go. So that uh helicopter um black hawk headed into um yeah that uh that black Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. See if you can’t coax the wave out of these guys. Um, some of the 787 crews are friendlier than others. Some of them on the small planes can just go out of their way to um really really um uh be friendly and uh wave to the public. But, uh, as I was saying, uh, JPM, thanks so much for the gifted memberships. That’s going to go a long way to, uh, helping us, uh, get to our next level that we, uh, that we need to get to, to get some more emojis. And boy, do I need more emojis, uh, to, uh, hand out to the members for, um, for the number of airlines that we’ve got active uh, particularly into um, Okinawa. A lot of the internationals um, are going to be uh, there. And of course we’ve got the uh US Air Force and the Japanese Self-Defense Force. Um and uh the regulars uh Anna and Gel. Uh we’ve got Peach and uh we’ve got a number of uh smaller airlines. We’ve also got a lot of Korean carriers into Okinawa. So in order to add all of those uh liveries, uh I’m going to need to get to the next level as far as memberships is concerned. And uh so yeah, I hope you enjoyed that uh brief glimpse at uh at a Blackhawk uh in uh Japanese uh self-defense livery. Of course, um they don’t actually share this airport with um uh the military and the civilians. Um, you will see the Coast Guard here, but you will not see um out and out military uh aircraft movements here. Um, having said that, we did see um a Hercules the other day. So, if you’re in uh the members uh group, uh you can actually go and see that uh in the members first. No videos. Passengers filing off and the baggage is about to be offloaded. You can see they’re pretty efficient here. But having said that, they’re going to do a go around on the old baggage fully and so he can back it up and have another go. Seems to have a training going on. Let me zoom back a little bit so I can see you can see the uh the baggage handling training going on. So this guy is obviously under supervision to uh not put a dent in the aircraft. Please don’t put a dent in the aircraft. This is not Brisbane. So there you go. Yeah. Well, um the Black Hawk, as I was, uh sort of alluding to um they don’t share a base here, but um just behind the uh airfield, um there’s a um an air base. And um that’s that’s where uh that’s where those guys uh have uh gone and landed. Um and uh yeah, we did uh see a Hercules here um a couple of days ago that came in and offloaded a van by the looks of things. um yeah about you know your standard minivan um painted an air force colors and all the rest of it but uh yeah they unloaded that and um so my guess is that it was easier for them to uh land here um and then uh transport whoever they needed to transport over to the uh air base. Um, we’ve got some action on um, Peach. Peach is uh, pushing back now. Here we go. So, Peach generally fly to uh, Canai, but um, it’s sort of it’s sort of their hub. Um and um Skyark seemed to base themselves out of uh Coobe which is also in the Canai area near Osaka. Um but uh these guys um based themselves out of um out of Canai which is a um fairly major airport. Um it’s uh it’s one of those uh ones built on the inland sea. It is in fact sinking a little bit. Um little bit like Hong Kong I think. Uh one or two of those airports have had that that sort of an issue. Um here’s that um here’s that we uh air force plane. Sorry, not air force. Um the coast guard plane has um popped back again. So he’s gone off and had a bit of a look around and he’s come back again. Let’s see if we’ve got Peach still nicely framed up for you. And we have, which is good. I’ll come back into my little shady tent and see what’s going going on. Like to uh thank you, anyone who’s uh popped in, even if you’re working in the background there. Um you know, don’t be shy. Let us know what’s going on. Um and uh where you’re tuning in from. Um yeah. Uh so this channel um is growing by leaps and bounds, but it’s not growing because of the live shows. Um for some reason um uh we’re getting lots and lots of people um signing up to look at the uh videos, principally the A380 videos, of course. Um, and there won’t be any A380s on this trip. Um, because we’re not going uh we I do did say there might not be any A380s, but we will be going back through Sydney, so you never know. Um, we’re not returning home on the A380. Um, we probably should have overnighted, but um, the difficulty is um, Mississippi requires a visa to go to Australia. It’s just ridiculous in my opinion. Um, you know, she’s a um, permanent resident of New Zealand. She’s got she’s got a job. She’s got a house. She’s not going anywhere. She’s not migrating to Australia. um you know quite quite the opposite. Um we took a look at Australia um a few years ago and we decided that New Zealand was much much nicer option. Um sorry to say that if any uh Aussies are there in the chat but uh or watching watching back later um yeah um our preferences for New Zealand. Um we did briefly look at Queensland. Um, we have also looked at Sydney. Sydney is lovely. We have um plenty of friends there. And um we pop over and uh and visit them from time to time. Um and uh when we do that, we usually go on the um Emirates 380. And of course, that’s the videos that um lots and lots of people from all over um are actually watching. So, they’re not watching the live streams. They’re watching the videos, the pre-recorded videos. Now, what uh what my intention is is to convert those uh video viewers into live stream viewers. Um all I have to do is um get my act together as far as actually putting on these live shows. And um as you’ve seen, um you think you’ve got things worked out, you come to a location, a new location. I like I liken it to playing a game of golf where you know your home course really really well and you can play it and um you can um beat par easily. Um but then you go to um a place uh another course um and the hole set up completely differently and you might have to use a slightly borrowed set of clubs or something that being a connection um and uh things go south. Um anyway, so uh yeah, that’s it’s more experience and um people like uh Kevin and uh uh to a lesser extent Mike and uh Sean have um have learned uh through experience what works and what doesn’t. Um I’m still using a laptop and the laptop has happened to be in this particular situation the weak link. Um, it works brilliantly well in Christ Church. Brilliantly well in Christ Church. I really, really think it’s worth its weight and gold in Christ Church. And we’ve got uh what looks like some sort of go around. Not exactly sure what he was doing. maybe just overflying the airfield at uh a certain height just to check out the radar or something like that. But um yeah, anyway, so here’s Peach. We’re just determining that uh those Neo engines are in fact uh working how they’re supposed to and they’re going to send them off probably to Canai I would say and the flight time is not that long. Um, it’s about just over an hour I think after sun. Yeah. So, um, it says it’s going to take an hour and 15ish. So, um I believe them. Um yep, that’s that’s roughly what I would expect it to take. And uh it’s uh very very warm here. As you can probably tell from my voice, struggling a little bit. I better take a sip of something. Nice color. Yeah. Yeah. Yep. Um, pretty much all Peaches are, um, the standard, uh, 320s, 320 Neo. Um, Peach, um, run pretty much the same model aircraft everywhere. Um, they’re not like, um, their, uh, parent who, um, who will, uh, use pretty much anything, uh, from the very smallest little little baby things all the way through the A380s. Um, Honor is the only Japanese airline to have the A380. Jel um don’t run it. Jel’s biggest Airbus is the 3501000 and they’re very proud of it. Um it is a beautiful aircraft and the standard uh gel livery on it is one of the very very best standard liveries. Um it’s hard to find a bad looking A350, especially an A350. Um but um yeah, Gel are very very proud of their um A350s and they fly them um from Tokyo to New York with absolutely no issues at all. Um so best airliner in service in my humble opinion. So here’s Peach. Now, peach in Japanese is momo. So, um if you look at the um flight designation um for peach flights, you’ll often see it written as mm, which is mama, which is Japanese for peach. So, there you go. Um the other designation is of course APJ. Um, which uh yeah, makes uh obvious sense. Right, he’s getting down to the end of the runway. I might just uh stop recording that. Take a little bit of a break. So, a little bit of a little bit of a pause in the commentary for for a moment. Heat. Heat. Now, I was um sort of planning if everything went really really Well, and obviously it hasn’t. Um, I was um planning on doing some uh doing some ATC, but unfortunately the device that um I uh need to actually put um put noise into the ATC noise into the system um is uh not really playing the game. So, um yeah, I will try and uh make sure that that’s going to work out um for next time and next time being Fukuoka on um Sunday. And uh yeah, I really hope that things work out much better for Fukuoka. This guy was just doing touch and goes, so I imagine he may. No, he’s pulled up. Okay. Well, that’s a bit different. Yeah. Yeah. He was doing touch and goes earlier. So, um yeah, bit of training there. Okay, let me just uh check on things. make sure everything’s working 100% or as much as 100% buy us at this particular point in time. We got uh reasonably yeah reasonable looking weather. Um yeah um yeah, I can’t fault it. Um, it it I’d say a nice gentle breeze would help. Virtually no wind at all, which is not helping. Um, doesn’t take the sting out of it at all. Um, let me focus on something else. Um, we’ve got a white aircraft coming in. got some uh some more activity down here in front of us. Just all the rattling that you can hear is um cargo handling. Somebody asked on Squad if uh was a cargo handler and he was not a cargo handler. There we go. A little bit wibbly wobbly, but uh made it down safely enough. Hold on. So, let’s uh come back and uh let you have a look a bit more of this uh ground handling. And uh I can see teachers getting set to uh do a do its takeoff roll. So I’ll um spin around and uh get on to uh Peach. Just a moment. There we go. So there’s Peach and we determined that it’s uh Peach 176 and it’s off to Canai Osaka. A much bigger airport than uh Nagasaki. And of course uh one of uh three airports which act as uh hubs the canai area’s uh canai which is for peach co which is for sky mark and uh the um I’m going to say the ATR fleet and dashing fleet. Um, they operate out of Osaki. Let’s listen to this. There we go. There. Uh once again, apologies for the um pole the security poles. It’s the price we pay for actually being able to actually, you know, be outdoors at all. Um and secure locations like airports and what have you. Yeah, there you go. Now, um I’m actually going to go and grab a drink. Uh I’ve run out of what I was drinking and I need to go to the vending machine and get me uh another couple of cold ones. So, I’ll be back momentarily. Uh talk amongst yourselves. Well, they’ve given us a bit of announcement um here over the uh intercom um regarding flight to Usaka and they’re saying that it’s going to be delayed. stay until 340. Um, now it’s 133. Okay. So, it’s not this. It’s not this 788 in front of us. Um, it’s another aircraft which we haven’t seen yet. And they are saying late arrival and we can understand that because um, we haven’t seen it yet. So, um yeah. Um what I might do is I might make this 788 when it goes the last aircraft movement for the day. Unless we see something really really interesting. Um yeah, but um in the meantime, we’ve got another plane. Terrific. Looks like uh ATR42, the short wheelbase model. And here it is. Beautiful OC. Nice. and he’s going to actually be able to um take his normal exit. Um we had one earlier um who couldn’t take that exit because some guy had um parked his helicopter right there. Now he could have parked the helicopter on the grass to the side. Um but uh no down on the hard. So, some reason for it, no doubt. But, uh, anyway, we’re going to see this little baby, um, ATR, uh, appear in front of us in the not too distant future. Now, these guys um, pull the same trick that they do in Australia. They usually once they get a bit of speed up they will shut down the uh lift engine and um that uh just speeds up the egress from the aircraft because the propeller will have stopped well and truly by the time the uh passengers actually want to uh disembark. thinking my camera is going to automatically track that and uh I’m not don’t actually have my hands on it. Yeah, like another shot that engine down. At least the last guy did. Probably going to make a liar out of me. Yeah, there we go. I shut it down. So, this is common practice in Australia. It is not common practice in New Zealand at all. Yeah, we uh we don’t get to see that uh that happen in um New Zealand at all. So, pulled back one of the bridges. There are a few passengers still making their way on and uh they’re going to have to go through the go make their way through the um business class near the front of the plane. This uh at second bridge is uh pulled back. We’re closing the doors. Closing cargo and they haven’t got any more cargo at the back to load unlike the last one. So yeah, they’re well and truly sorted. Once we’ve got all those uh final passengers boarded through the first class area, the business class area have to say um they don’t have a first class in uh Japanese domestic. They do on internationals especially to uh Honolulu on the A380 and they have business class suites and first class suites. Heat. Heat. I see the weather is um slightly improved. It’s gone up to 33° and that weather is for Nagasaki proper. Um let me see if I can find the weather for the airport. It’s saying it’s 33° here as well. And we have a 4 knot wind from 250. And it describes the conditions as cloudy. Um, I wouldn’t say cloudy. I would say overcast um, and hazy. Um there’s definitely a haze out there. Um this morning you could easily see across the bay um to the other side. Oh, here comes another Blackhawk. Yeah, unfortunately his pro flight slight profile is just a little bit too low. But um at least we get it get to see just a taster a near taster of what we’re going to see in Okinawa. Um let me tell you um there are militaries and militaries and militaries in Okinawa and um of course a lot of them belong to the Americans but uh there are quite a few Japanese self-defense forces aircraft there um fighter aircraft transport aircraft um marine observation sort of the equivalent of the Orions that we used to have. Um, and I think I’ve seen an like an Awax um down there as well. Um, but um yeah, we will uh we will find out in due course. So, look forward to those um coming coming to uh this channel around about July 15th or 16th. I haven’t quite determined which day it’s going to be. Um there might be a little bit of settling in. Um but um yeah um certainly hope that uh everything goes well as far as um you know making sure that the laptop uh behaves itself and um we’ll uh operate in Okinawa’s conditions and uh sometimes Okinawa’s conditions can be even warmer here than uh warmer than here in Nagasaki. Um, so yeah, you uh really really need to um uh be prepared. So I’m going to try and mitigate it as much as I can. Maybe an ice bath might be the next uh next step. At the moment, uh I have a a bit of a tent city with the umbrellas going on. Um, I’ll probably disassemble that uh shortly. But um yeah, hopefully we can get uh get this guy out of here and um we’ll see a bit of movement from the ground staff. Few radio checks going on. Guy’s going to give his tug driver a bit of a Yep, we’re about ready to go. Forgive the uh patrol noise. That’s me taking a drink. That’s mom flavored water, by the way. Um just uh water with a little bit of a a peach flavor to it. So, this takes the edge off it a little bit. Makes it a little bit more drinkable. So, as I said, um once we actually get this 788 out of here, um yeah, I think I’ll wrap it up and um you can go about the rest of your day slashnight. Um, doubtless, uh, it’s around about dinner time, I would say. Coming up to it at least. Oh, another black hawk. Yay. Yay. Yay. Yay. Black hook. What sort of flight profile do you pull that, mate? It’s really really hard to follow you. You think he’s in the military or something trying to evade the uh attention of the camera. But anyway, yeah, we got a beef brief glimpse of the menu. What have we got going? Yes, indeed. If you are enjoying the stream, please hit that like button because the like button is um uh one of the best ways the algorithm um picks up on the fact uh and um the algorithm seems to like me, but not necessarily for live shows. It definitely likes me for videos. Um I’ve been getting a lot of subscribers to the videos. Um but um yeah, I would really appreciate it if um we could uh perhaps convert some of those subscribers into um channel viewers for the live shows. And um yeah, I I understand that it’s early days. I’m still very much a beginner when it comes to doing the live shows. Um I’ve got a lot more to learn. Um this is I’m going to say um Um yeah, I I I probably can’t count the the number of um proper live shows that I’ve actually done. Um I think it would be well under 20. So, I still class myself very much as a beginner and um and I’ve got a lot to learn and uh yeah uh throwing me myself into the deep end um by going and playing on a um completely different golf course over here in Japan has uh certainly um found uh some of those uh weaknesses out. Um I’ve uh I’ve learned a weakness in the equipment. Um, and yeah, as far as uh learning how to uh operate the equipment, uh, I don’t think I could have necessarily anticipated that, uh, this was going to be an issue. But, uh, yeah, now we know, um, we can try and take steps to, um, improve for next time. Man, I’m just noticing the heat radiating from the uh Wi-Fi dial on top of uh top of this 788. And man, so that’s the radar. Sorry, the wife up and the haze coming off of it is just so noticeable. um it distorts um uh the background. Um, so I’m just seeing ripples of um, heat haze rising up and um, the grass behind and the runway behind are just sort of got that uh, that ripply um, effect that uh, you you’re used to seeing um, through a um, one of those uh, magic mirrors that you get in fun and and like these guys are still standing around and not doing much. I really hope that they weren’t the aircraft that’s going to be held up um until 340. That’s ridiculous. There’s no way they would have um boarded them surely if they’re going to keep them on there for um a couple of hours effectively. They’ve still got the blocks. I hear another black hawk. Let’s see if we can get you. Come on, Mr. Black Hawk. No, I cannot. It’s very very difficult to see the monitors here. um hidden away in my little tent city of umbrellas. Um, yeah. So, if I was based here in, uh, Japan, um, I would actually have one of those beach tents and I would set it up here and, um, yeah, that would be my go-to. Okay. So, the second of the bridges, the one to um business class is uh falling back. Um, if you look right down here, right in the middle, right next to that, uh, guy in the orange, um, there’s a pin there, which, um, is the pin they pull out and show to the pilot that, uh, basically disengages the uh disengages the ability of the um of the crew to steer the aircraft. So, of course, they have to pull that pin out in order for the aircraft to um maneuver on its taxi. So, um we’ll see that um that pin pulled out uh a little later, but for right now, we’re just preparing to um get it pushed back. The blocks are still on. I noticed that he hasn’t switched a beacon on yet. So, um h yet another black hawk. probably become uh a bit blas about them after a while, but certainly from New Zealand. Um yeah. Uh, Bina, Benham. Oh, awesome. Yeah. So, you probably get out to um to Woodburn and uh and see uh a few militaries out there. There’s of course Pete Jackson’s um old military aircraft and uh yeah, what have you um in the hangar doer there. Uh, okay. So, we’ve got a beacon on beacon on on uh this uh Anna flight to uh Tokyo and uh yeah, we should uh see him depart momentarily. So, guys poised, ready to um pull the blocks up. And there we go. Push back. Heat up here. So there we Pushing back. Pushing back. Inspiration of Japan is the tagline of Bon Airways. ANA. It’s actually my favorite airline. Listen to that glorious sound. What a wonderful spot. And another black. So, um if you’ve been here like let’s cam uh for the duration including the uh interruption to the stream. Um I would like to thank you very much for coming along and spending some time with us. Um, these Nagasaki streams were sort of cobbled together bit last minute and it shows, but uh, let’s let’s face it, if I had not done these shows now, I would have walked blindly into um, my publicized stream for uh, for Gua and it probably would have fallen over straight away. Um, so yeah, we’re um we’re off to um Fukuoka on Sunday and uh we should uh we should uh see we’d like to see as many of you as possible there. I understand there are plenty of other options um for viewing, but uh do bear us in mind. Um, we’re super friendly and um we’re going to uh going to recognize you if we can actually see your chat and uh yeah, part of my problem is uh actually being able to um read the uh screens with uh with extreme glare. Um but uh yeah, they’re um they’re fairly sheltered under the umbrellas, but um the font size doesn’t help at uh this range. So um yeah, once again, I’d like to thank uh Let’s Camp. I’d like to thank uh Christine Frank uh who joined us earlier. Um and uh Tally Two Sheep, I remember. and uh I I wish her all the best. Understand she’s going through a bit at the moment. Um and uh yeah, and u Jake, thanks so much for your uh donation earlier. Um it really really helps us out. Um, I’m going to um going to be probably uh investing that money in um more promotions. Um uh basically I figure that um you if you build a channel um you need to set aside plenty of money for a promotions budget. And um I’ve uh I’ve done that and uh I’m spending it as as we speak. But um I I welcome your contribution and um actual fact um memberships is one of the best things um to get um for the channel. So, got a we Coast Guard making its way down. It’s not going to catch up to um not going to catch up to the 788. The 788’s going to pop out. There we go. So, we’ll just keep recording. So, um yeah. Um, in theory you’ll in in in theory you’ll uh get a nice clean um commentary version of these takeoffs and landings um later once I’ve um once I’ve processed the video. I’ll have to get it home and get it uh get it edited. very very long. Very very long. up and out of there. And once again, um I’d like to thank you very much for um joining us here at Nagasaki today. Um where the temperature is still about 33°. understand it’s not the best back in New Zealand. And I’ve heard that it hasn’t been so great in Australia as well. So, um yeah, I wish you all the best. Um keep healthy and keep well. Um and we hopefully will see you um on Sunday um from Fukuoka. All going well. Um again, um you’ve probably liked, you’ve probably subscribed. Um if you have if you have a little bit um going on um yeah can uh can you uh join as a member? Um it gives you access to all sorts of exclusive member first content. Um and um yeah, we’ll be we’ll be sharing some more content today with the members. Um but uh yeah, we will eventually um release those videos to the public uh just at a later date. Hope you understand. Um thanks very much again and uh we’ll see you again on Sunday and uh good luck. Bye now. Going to play some music in an exit screen. Hey, hey, hey. Happy. Hey, hey, hey. Hey, hey, hey.
