thinking of a day trip to Tyama Alpine Route from Tokyo let me show you our snowy scenic adventure getting up early was so worth it we kicked off our journey bright and way too early at 4:00 a.m aiming to catch the first connections at Ubizawa station by 7:00 a.m pro tip book your tickets online if you can we didn’t and ended up stuck in a long line for same day tickets before the first pass once on board we headed straight to our first stop the Corobidam we climbed up to the observatory and the view was insane that dam is massive it’s hard to believe it was built back in the 1960s nature and engineering perfectly mixed from there we walked down to Korobi Co station to hop on a tunnel cable car that brought us up to Corob Dyra ropeway station i will not going to lie this tunnel ride didn’t have much of a view but the next part worth it at Kurobra we boarded the famous ropeway and that’s where the real magic began floating above a snowy landscape surrounded by white cup peaks it reminds us of Mount Zho in Yamagata the snow was still thick and gorgeous and we even spotted some hikers braving the cold if you missed the winter season this is your second chance to feel the chill by the time we reached Daikanbu station we were fully immersed in Alpine Wonderland from there we hopped on the tunnel trolley bus toward our final Highlands top Murdo station and then boom at 2,450 m above sea level we had arrived at Murdo the heart of the alpine route let me tell you it felt like walking into a dream heaven confirmed real and yes the snow corridor was right in front of us those iconic snow walls towering up to 12 m high i finally got to touch and play with the snow and of course take way too many photos walking alongside this giant icy walls if you’re craving mountains snow and unforgettable views all packed into a single day the Toyama Alpine Route is calling your name just don’t forget gloves a camera sunglasses and that online ticket honestly we didn’t want to leave but we had to catch the last transport going back so we started our descent next time we’ll try the full route starting from Toyama site instead of Oizawa we booked a cabin at Hakuba ism highly recommended the cabin was super spacious fits up to 10 people fully equipped with kitchen wear and had free parking right out front it was the perfect cozy ending to our adventure you totally stay here again next time thanks for following along see you in the day two babush
