The official name is “Sugawara Shrine” and the common name is “Arahira Tenjin”. A beautiful vermilion torii gate stands on the sandy beach. On both sides, there are rugged rocks, sandy beach and sea. The rocks are a little red and have a small depression.
In the back, there is a hut and a staircase. I have seen various seas in Kagoshima, and my personal favorite is The beauty of this sea is No.1. “Sugawara no Michizane”, the god of learning, is enshrined here. This time, I gave up on climbing the stairs and went straight in to the hut in front. This is a great spot to view the sea.
You can enjoy the beautiful, sparkling sea view. This time, I took pictures of the sea view from various angles. Swimming is prohibited, but it is a perfect spot for a walk or a break.
