good morning everybody it’s a beautiful day in japan i was just out at the store picking up some orange juice for the breakfast this morning and look at this 80° today feels amazing um and when i said orange juice my family likes different foods right so i like steak tanner likes steak shel likes chicken ally likes chicken eggs are for ally oranges for you know i have to make the the selections of food in the morning so everybody’s happy i’m watching fantasmic right now uh with our friends uh the ride uh the ride view uh it’s 9:25 uh p.m in florida right now getting ready to head out to shin yokohama for the ramen museum different coming from cup noodle museum cup noodles is a museum about the history behind you know the cup this one is about all the different ramens across japan in one little central location so pretty excited about taking them there eating different ramens today in the museum park and do some yokohama things today that’s the plan maybe go to chinatown let’s see how they’re doing it’s saturday let’s go have some fun we are out at the bus stop now heading off to sensoji temple got everybody here ally already found her seat she is quick to a seat i tell you what she’s really good at that no she’s a sniper snapper and uh like i said send temple and then we’re going to head over to the ramen museum and then see where we wind up from there everybody feeling good though you feeling good she got her dar’s white chocolate in her hand so she’s like as soon as i can open this it’s over ron’s like our pump up guy i got you guys feeling good bro like yeah it’s saturday and uh it’s going to be very busy at the temple so [Music] cheers team we have made it to a very crowded senoji temple all right everybody stay nice and close not too close now this is pretty standard crowd for a saturday what do you think so far pretty crazy yeah but they have all these cool little shops and everything there you definitely do some shopping here easy to do especially the food there’s a lot of there’s an ice cream shop right here that has like matcha ice cream oh yeah or green tea ice cream as well we’re at that ice cream shop i was just talking about and you can see they got a couple food items here a couple drinks and then matcha soft serve vanilla that’s what ally wants sweet potato soft serve look at this they make them right in the window too this one’s tanner’s this one shell’s that’s just so that’s rich chocolate and vanilla alli and shelly just got a regular vanilla cone how is it mhm not a fan no i don’t like it we’re just waiting on ally to finish hers up right now but we still have the whole market street to go then there’s these side streets down this way then there’s another one over there and then that tall tower looking thing right about here that right there is sky tree tanner has come with this obsession of chopsticks since we’ve been here how many you got so far uh six six sets huh i at least want to get 10 mama they have all these custom tomorrow we’re going to kamakura they have a they can put your name on your chopsticks i’m going to do that for him get you a custom tanner chopsticks what’d you get tanner chopsticks yeah you got the dragon chopsticks i got to spoil him that way he wants to come back to japan with me he already does don’t you i like japan yeah me too it could be our it could be our dad tanner trip yeah shel was like “can we please?” i mean look at this stained bean jam powder green tea white peach i mean custard strawberry whip oh look at strawberry we got the alley over here this is what they’re getting though right there in the window all right tanner this is the tanner thing right here go ahead tell us how it is sir i want i want this are they frozen how good is it hurt but yeah it’s good good what do you think is it good how is it babe good yeah is it better than the other ones we’ve had yeah cuz these aren’t frozen the other ones were frozen oh i don’t know look at tanner he’s been waiting all trip for this tongulu tongulu tanner’s making us try we just grabbing some water real quick also sky tree right there check it out looking cool everybody feeling good yeah it’s a little warm today but yeah it’s in the 80s no breeze no breeze really yeah that’s all right sky tree though sky tree we got to get a really nice day out for scott tree so we can see mount fuji from up there oh yeah so we have different charms for different things like traffic safety charm um good fortune money ward off evil this wishes come true charm is 20,000 yen you buy a box of incense sticks and then you go over there and uh burn the incense in there okay we got tanner some crab over here are you excited it doesn’t look like crab what does that look like well take a bite of it sir and let us know that’s definitely crab you like it yeah it’s pretty good get into it it’s all yours we’re here for you all right tanner tell us how it is good it’s hot uhhuh yeah it’s got soy sauce on it uh-huh it got shaved ice what do you think of that that wasn’t bad right how much was that 700 700 yen all kinds of food booths right here uh there’s even a pineapple one over there they’re just selling pineapples uh yeah um i like the the beef where they dip it in teriyak or soy sauce and teriyak sauce so good hold on bb found some shaved ice you happy with that ice cream and shaved ice same day all right tanner tell them how it was it was good it was good how was the ice the shaved ice it it was really really good oh good and we’re gonna head out of senogoji now because it’s a little crazy for them and we’re gonna head over to the ramen museum are you excited for that one i have my favorite place it’s on the second floor when we get there i’ll show you what is it food or yes it’s ramen is it food you know what ramen is i don’t know all right i don’t know i think he’s a little little tired from last night but we stayed up till midnight didn’t we wo yeah you ready to go up there on the sky tree are we going to go during the day or at night we should go right before sunset that way we can get both yeah that’s what we’re going to do we have made it to shin yokohama and of course we stopped by 7-eleven pick up shel’s favorite drink though they don’t have these by our 7-eleven for some reason but there’s smoothies it’s pretty much a bunch of fruit in a cup and it blends it up for you right on the spot and it’s her favorite item mhm but darn none by our place well the hotel one but yeah anyway we’re in shin oklahoma it’s a little windy it’s not too bad temperature is really nice kids are really motivated today we’ll use those words yeah the popup we’re about to go the ramen museum is literally the swipe right right there so we’re about a block and a half away and caner forgot that we’re going to eat ramen so he’s eating something right now just kidding we have made it to the ramen museum here are the prices for the ramen museum as you can see it’s 450 yen for an adult and for let’s see high school student 100 yen elementary student ali is free and you can see you can get a one-year digital pass for 500 or an analog pass for 800 for the whole [Music] year soon as you enter you get a little history lesson about ramen it is in english and japanese on the so you can read up all of the different years and things that happened aren’t they cute are you guys learning you don’t know how to read all right tanner this one downstairs is one of my favorite ramens here baby star ramen sneakers though gonna have to get these for my next time in the park this is a map of japan outlined in the bars in the background and all the different types of ramens they have across the country so to kind of give you an idea what’s what’s the style of ramen in those areas hokkaido i don’t know why but i really want one of these for my house ramen all the different kinds of ramen bowls look at all these cool ramen bowls tanner all right there you go buddy some dragons maybe that blue one right here i’ve done this before you get to make your own custom ramen bowl takes about 30 minutes they’ll put your picture on the bowl you pick the different toppings and everything and then yeah it’ll look like that when it’s done all right so here we go we got the red pink bowl all the different oh my sorry my bad all the different toppings you can or not toppings but ingredients you can add the type of noodles you want cuz there are different types you got the thick very thin and very thick noodles and then you can do the custom lid and the soup and they’re only 600 yen to do your custom one yeah so tanner you want to get a picture of your face on some ramen ali and tanner ali and tanner there we go uh they also have the make your own noodles here as well experience sold out for the day but they do have it all right i got logged in on the you’re going to pick the things you want how big the noodles do you want i want it standard what’s standard standard is that what it says yeah look it says standard oh weird it says thick noodles on here now what kind of wait it says thick a few moments later just finished up uploaded a photo that i’m going to put on the lid for the like they’re making it right now probably like two you said 5 minutes uh there’s no really a line right now and uh we’re going to get a custommade ramen that you can eat tonight i said i’m not going to eat it but it’s dinner i made i no because um i said cuz you have to peel off the lid which has the like photo all right well if you get hungry later i bought you dinner what’ you buy me oh i thought you meant like in the fridge i thought you meant like chicken it’s been a day it’s it’s all right it’s been a day and just as soon as i said that look look what showed up we just took that photo outside it comes in this cool little basket carrying kit though yeah go for it and there we go custom bowl of ramen you get to pick your ingredients what you wanted and everything is it cool it looks like media yeah that’s you and brother that’s you and brother it looks like knife all right now my favorite part let’s go downstairs and eat there’s a bunch more stuff up here but i’m ready to go downstairs and grab some ramen all right everybody my favorite part of the entire museum we’re heading downstairs what is it what do you think wow how nice looks cool is it guys want to go walk around real quick and check it out come on [Music] what do you think of this is this is this not cool or what i mean it’s like you’re walking through the street but you’re just underneath the museum right above us a little market shop here look at the airplane the ones that you throw in and those are really there’s a staircase over here and a restroom we’ll probably head downstairs it looks like it’s not as busy downstairs as it is up here but so this is what i ordered right here i ordered two of these one of these for shelly as you can see so here’s my bowl of ramen you can see we got a piece of meat small amount of noodles not too big a can size bowl shelly and her wantons over there shel loves wanttons and you got t got tanner one too and oh you got some too oh awesome all right shel how was yours i thought it was really good i wasn’t a huge fan of the dumpling but everything else was oh yeah yeah yeah i love the noodles and the the broth i like the broth a lot the soup the soup is so good the noodles were really good it’s very salty on the more saltier side allie ate my pork which was very good tanner wasn’t a huge fan he said too salty too salty for him so you still hungry oh come on i didn’t think it was too salty you want to go up to the window up there see where it says 33 on the window that’s that’s the one that we walked by earlier with the line that’s my favorite get one and i’ll try it all right let’s do it i’m so hungry i could eat a lot more i had to eat all his noodles here it is all right i’m going to go with the tapsu uh we’ll probably just go with a regular one that way i just want a bite of yours you just want a bite of mine okay we’ll do that does anybody want extra char soup this is what i ordered right here so it’s got a bunch of meat i already ordered a side of extra meat and then this is the broth or the soup jeez i keep shelly got me saying broth it’s soup uh it’s on the saltier side tonkatsu i love tonkatu so that’s why it’s my favorite another thing i want to point out these are really thin noodles we got some others look at that look at that oh they’re so good i eat it all there’s a lot there’s a lot of meat i got the melon soda got a melon soda float i just had tonkatu ramen and that was a big bowl were they good so good better than downstairs yes i also have the really thin noodles i like the really thin noodles and then um the soup i’m saying broth the soup so good it almost looks kind of brown like a mud looking color but it is if you like salt you’ll love that one and the pork is just regular pork not too seasoned or anything so you doing good over there baby all right so the downstairs one was 680 yen this one was 1,550 because we added all the extra meat and everything to it so i’m about $15 into eating today already but i mean i could go for another one i don’t know where i’m going to put it but you know i’m going to feel this on the train ride back [Music] well that’s going to be it for us here at the ram museum it’s not a huge place to hang out but you get to pick up a cool make your own ramen bowl i a lot of ramen those stairs they get you especially when you ate that many mini noodles got noodle belly and uh oh now we got to make another hour plus trip back to the house ready all right whole museum that’s the highlight of their day right there easily entertained just like home no you want to get a fishing rod we already got one what we didn’t tell everybody yet you ruined it you spoiled it we went here and we picked up a fishing rod we’re going to try to go fishing huh you want to do it in the rain no you don’t want to do it in the rain no why not cold and wet how was your ramen today did wasn’t that good i don’t think you would have liked the one i got that i liked i think you would have saw the the soup and been like “nah that’s not for me i’ll show you.” but this one still so much energy in that one and she’s she’s a ball of energy are you doing all right becca oh gosh oh god oh god almost rolled my ankle in the house and t’s going to show us his chopsticks jo those fancy mhm do you figure out how to use them yet in my own way in his own way he did figure out how to use chopsticks and how was your day yeah okay what you got there do you want one what is that it’s like a cinnamon roll but it’s a chocolate roll it says a chocolate rolls no i’m good seriously i ate so much food at the ramen museum what a day we had huh ally did we go some places did you get a kimono no but she definitely wanted one all right charlotte did you see ally in a kimono we can go to japan and in epcot and get her one no okay we’ll get indiana jones hat too and she’ll look like brandon oh gosh comfy but ready for adventure it was quite a day it was a day um we traveled a lot and we went on i think what seven trains we went on seven different trains this was the first day that the kids weren’t very patient either yeah they were not having it so even though we got them seats on these trains most of the time we have to stand the whole time they gave me a headache which is going to be crazy cuz if we go to odawara it’s a 2hour train ride from here something funny yeah if your if there’s no seat on the train and your kid is absolutely exhausted so sits on the ground you’re going to get a lot of stairs like yeah cuz ally decided she was just going to sit down we’re like ally she’s like “uh-uh i’m not having i’m tired.” so um yeah the train’s not a clean place to sit down but but this one when she determined to do something determined to do something she’ll do it um but we went to sensoji temple saw sky tree you guys excited for sky tree that looks pretty cool and then we went out to shiny yokohama which we didn’t realize there was a concert happening tonight and uh so that’s why the shiny yokohama area was super busy packed yeah um it’s also a very long train ride out there well from here i’m used to going so i usually when i come to japan i stay in the kawasaki yokohama area um and then you have a lot of options from there we’re coming from a a less convenient spot to go south from here so so if your only plan is to go to disney this house is great mhm u or tokyo station area shibuya but if you decided you’re going to go to like kamakura tomorrow stuff like that it’s just a longer ride that’s all it’s not bad it’s just yeah it’s much longer it’s usually like 45 minutes from kawasaki yeah bring your headphones yes have a good pair of headphones with you but otherwise than that everybody i hope you guys enjoyed our vlog today of sensoji and the ramen museum which is very cool i have to say it was very cool and uh i i ate so much i’m i’m not going to eat again tonight either did you tell them why you ate so much yeah so i forgot um that when you go there you can’t just sit down with other people if you buy a meal that other adults have to buy a meal too to sit with you so mhm we were going to split one and then i became the one to eat it all so decisions were made and tam’s going through his chopstick are you going through your chopsticks no i’m trying to see if i could fit all of them and one he wants a total of 10 where are we at right now uh seven all right so we got three more sets to go and i hope you guys enjoyed today’s vlog if you did hit that like button let’s know you
