A Special Afternoon Tea Program
Mesm Tokyo is currently offering a special afternoon tea program titled “Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji, First half” at its bar and lounge, Whisk, on the 16th floor of the hotel. It is collaborating with Sumida Hokusai Museum for the first time.
The latest in the hotel’s “Tokyo Waves” series of afternoon exhibitions is based on Hokusai Katsushika’s masterpiece, “Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji.” It’s a special gastronomic experience that blends Edo flavors with modern flair.
The artistic menu begins with an appetizer inspired by buckwheat noodles, which Hokusai is said to have liked, alongside a yuzu and matcha mocktail. The sweets are then delivered in a gorgeous box. Highlights include a black sesame panna cotta, a choclate eclair, a sakura scone and a rare cheese cone.
