Chugoku (Miyajima, Iwakuni, Hiroshima, Kure) | Japan Trip (Part 2)

[Music] waking up early we took the Hokkaido Shinkansen from Shinhakodate Hokto station to Tokyo then transferred to the Tokaido Shinkansen for the rest of the trip we arrived at night and only had time for a quick dinner before sleeping the next morning we rode the train from Hiroshima station to Miaimumaguchi station then took a short walk to get to the ferry to travel to its Kushima the ferry has a lot of space some on the top side of the boat i usually just stay in the bottom because it’s less crowded [Music] [Music] from the fairy terminal the walk to East Kushima Shrine is very close just beware of the deer [Music] if you plan to take pictures next to the shrine you will need to be aware when it’s low tide we just luckily went during low tide but didn’t go in the water [Music] several shrines dot the island making great spots to see amazing art and learn about the history just be aware you may need to take off your shoes for some [Music] [Music] once we pass it shrine the crowd started to thin but there were still plenty more to [Music] [Music] See boom [Music] [Music] thank you [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] we didn’t spend too much time on the island because we had one more stop that day but [Music] first one more thing get Momo mentions majima is famous for them we took the taxi from Evauni station because the place we wanted to go was far and was getting ready to close [Music] [Music] i enjoyed the ride because we got to see what people normally saw and did not just tourist [Music] spots and we’re here at Kinta Bridge a unique wooden bridge with five arches you still have to pay to cross it though [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] the place was serene a nice cold breeze along with calming flow of the river while being surrounded by greenery it was a nice contrast from earlier at Miaima here was relaxing and peaceful [Music] [Music] [Music] there’s some people [Music] [Music] [Music] Unfortunately we were not able to go to Evauni Castle because by the time we arrived it was going to close so we spent the time walking around the park the scenery is edged in my mind and I would love to go back especially to see the view from the castle [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] the next day we went to the atomic bomb dome gamaku this building still stands after the August 6th 1945 atomic bombing of Hiroshima it is a constant reminder of the tragedies of war [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] we tried to go early to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum before it got too crowded but by the time we got there it was filled with tourists and students it’s difficult to take in the museum in its significance with people running around and pushing each other in a crowded space go early or go on a less crowded day if you really want to take it in [Music] because of the crowds we decided to change our schedule and head to Curry looking out at sea it’s easy to see that Kur has a strong naval history the shores are lined with dockyards we stopped for lunch before heading to the museum i love the side dishes you get when you order a set [Music] meal we finally make it to the museum and get to see the 110th scale replica of the battleship Yamato heat heat [Music] heat heat heat heat [Music] [Music] heat heat [Music] living all my life in a flat area mountains have always catched my eyes i can’t imagine living surrounded by them here’s a map of all the places that we visited in Chugoku thanks for watching bye
