Is it safe to visit Japan in 2025 or 2026?(Mt. Fuji Eruption Prediction)

Hey guys, so people have been asking me about Mount Fuji eruption. I’m gonna answer the top five most common ones. When will Mount Fuji erupt? So to answer this question, I have a list. 999, 1033, 1083, 1435, 1511, 1707. Those are the past Mount Fuji eruptions and they’re spaced out about 100 to 200 years. However, since 1707, there’s been over 300 years, meaning the next one is right around the corner. But we never know. We never know where is the next eruption predicted to happen, right? So, Mount Fuji is pretty big and most people think mountains erupt from the summit. However, the past eruption 1707 erupted from the side. This is the side facing Tokyo. This is the southeastern area. And the next one is going to happen well predicted to happen around the same place. So there’s magma down here and it will erupt from the side. Unfortunately, the side is facing Tokyo. Is Tokyo in danger if Fuji erupts? very much so. However, it’s not the lava, right? The lava is not lava flow is not going to go all the way to Tokyo. What it will go to Tokyo are black ash. Tokyo will be completely covered in ashfall. Experts say it could be anywhere from 3 cm to about maybe even 10 cm. And if ashall accumulates more than one or two centimeters, it will stop traffic, right? And you cannot breathing ash. If you breathe at the ashall, you will you will get sick because ash is actually made out of sand. And sand, you know what does sand turn into? Sand turns into glass. So when you inhale the ash, it actually it actually destroys your internal organs because it’s like little shards of glass. What triggers an eruption at Mount Fuji? All right, so let’s uh let’s talk about the previous eruption 1707. It happened 49 days after this is this is important. It happened 49 days after the earthquake. Yes, Mount Fuji is well will be triggered by the next earthquake almost certain, right? There’s a lot of experts predicting numbers. However, the number is in the 99 is hard to see, but it’s in the 99 percentile, right? The next eruption will be triggered 99% chance to be triggered by the next earthquake. There’s about one to two month period before the eruption occurs. So you will have time to get ready. Last one. Should I be worried if I’m traveling to Japan? Now if you’re just traveling to Japan, don’t worry about it. Don’t worry about it. If if anything, this is the perfect time to visit Japan. First to summarize the next eruption, it will likely happen within 99% chance after the next earthquake, right? I’m talking about the bigger big ones, right? There’s going to be a big one called Nang Kairo earthquake. It will be an earthquake around here all the way maybe not all the way to Tokyo, but around this stretch. The next earthquake will happen around this part. It will cause tsunami and everything. 99% chance that this earthquake will trigger the next eruption and the next eruption will happen about one to two months after earthquake. So the question is the question is when will the next earthquake happen? Right? When will this earthquake non troll earthquake happen? Nai tro when right that’s a big question. So we have a bell curve. Let me show you. Maybe here we’ll draw a bell curve, right? And that’s the median, right? Right now this is 2025. And we’ll say this is 20 50. It can happen any time between here and here. And of course, you know, bell curve, it could 2,100. We never know. However, the highest point of the bell curve, when is this? This is 2035. So 2035 is the most likely time that the eruption that the earthquake will happen and with earthquake the eruption will happen. So the question is should you visit Japan in 2025, 2026, 2027? Definitely. This is before the highest point of the bell curve. What happens after the eruption? We never know. We never know if Tokyo will still be the same. We never know if, you know, the coastal side of Japan will still look the same. There’s going to be massive damage. So, if you want to visit Japan, Japan’s beautiful, right? If you want to visit Japan, eat all those great seafood, visit Tokyo, see all the infrastructures, see the beautiful Mount Fuji as is, this is it. You got the you got this 10year window. The best time to visit Japan is now. Thank you, Tony. Of course. All right. Let us know if you have more questions about Mount Fuji and make sure to follow us for the latest contents on Japan.
