Trying TRADITIONAL Ramen in JAPAN π | Japan Safety π―π΅ | Solo Black Female Travel
It [Music] [Music] is. See, I’ve been teaching people Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Hallelujah. Wow. [Music] [Music] Guys, I feel like I haven’t checked in in forever. I had to rush back because I had got a massage done at my literal hotel room. Like they did the massage for me in my hotel room. Like I have been in so much pain from like working out and all this traveling. Like y’all, I’ve been traveling so much and carrying my heavy bag. That massage ate. And so then I was like, “Wait a minute.” Cuz I’m in Asaka. Like they have them in Tokyo too that stay open super late. Onenses and I was like, “Let me see if they have any tattoo ons open and I went to an onen and oh it was so nice.” Like nobody was there. It was just me and like two other women. I am at so much peace right now. I just feel oh my god like I literally was in the sauna like literally praising God. like literally being like, “God, thank you.” Because this was every single thing that I needed. [Music] Thank you everyone. [Music] [Music] Foreign speech. Foreign foreign foreign speech. [Music] [Music] Happy birthday. Guys, my favorite thing about Japan besides the food is the safety. Especially being a woman and traveling alone, which is like most of my trips. Being able to be alone and not feel threatened or not feel unsafe or unsure of myself. Being able to go in and out of a convenience store at like 2:00, 3:00 in the morning, that is a true blessing. Like especially being a woman, always feeling like you have to be on guard. You have to watch what you’re going like always be aware of your surroundings, right? But I mean, I had to go get my midnight snack from 7-Eleven and I didn’t want to get at the ramen spot, so I still want to get food, but I also knew I had to walk home. And I’m like, I can go do that. I can leave my hotel anytime at night. I don’t feel like I have to be on guard. I’m just safe. So, if you’re a woman and you’re thinking about traveling alone and if you can make a trip, I always recommend Japan for its safety. Hey guys, we are back in the hotel room. I have changed into my pajamas. Well, this isn’t really pajamas. This is the spa outfit that you can wear to the spa and but I can’t go to the spa cuz I have tattoos. So, I’m just wearing it because it’s super comfortable. When I got my massage, I got my massage in it and I’m like, I’m wearing this to bed. There is no there is no score. That’s the best food I’ve had on this channel so far. That is there’s not been food better than that ramen. And I really really love ramen. And the ramen was so good. I drank the broth. That broth was so good. Like y’all saw me. All of it was gone. And I didn’t even get any meat. I just got basic ramen. Like veggie ramen. Lime was so good. Like ate it all. No crumbs. All of it’s gone. After doing that, I stopped by the convenience store and I got this cake and I just realized I don’t have utensils. So, I’m going to have to eat this with my hands. But I don’t care cuz I want to eat this and it looks good. So, I got this cake and I got me a smoothie cuz again, I’m really trying to still stay healthy and still eat balanced meals. That’s what I’m going to try to do always, you know. So, honestly, my food and my diet’s been so good since I’ve been here. Um, thoughts of Osaka. Osaka, I’m like, y’all, I don’t think you understand. I’m so glad I came here. I just want to thank God, honestly, because like I don’t know what it was. I had so much worry. Like, I was telling you guys in like my Tokyo vlog, like I was having so much anxiety about this trip. I do not know why. I think I’ve just been anxious and maybe it was like I was just worried about like the language barrier which is weird because it’s not really something I’m ever normally worried about. But I was like, you know what, I just kept having I was like this gut feeling like I have to go to Asaka. I have to go to Asaka. Like I have to this trip. And I was super nervous about it and I was like, you know what? I just want to spend more time in Tokyo. I know Tokyo. I’ll be fine. And then like my flight experience this morning was amazing. My experience in Osaka has been great. Asaka is very diverse. It’s more melting like of a melting pot. I’ve seen Indian people. I’ve seen black people. I’ve seen white people. I’ve seen obviously Japanese people. I’ve seen Korean people, Chinese people. I’ve seen a it’s a melting pot. Now, it’s not going to be super super melting pot. It’s still going to be homogeneously Japanese for the most part, but it is going to have a lot more diversity than um what I see in Tokyo. And I like that it’s super grunge. Like I am a grunge girly. I like street wear and I like grunge. I like to be an all black. I like to be black nails. I like my hair braided. I like just really grungy alternative style. Like that is like my vibe. Like it’s like grunge is like right in between like gothic and like street wear, you know? It’s like right in that heavy like right in that middle. Like I would say Olivia Rodrigo is like grunge, you know? Like grunge, you know? That is my vibe. And if you’re into grunge and you’re looking for like that type of like environment, Osaka Auto a and I mean they have a lot of street wear too. It’s like it’s very much the things that the way that I dress. I feel so comfortable here. I feel so comfortable here. It truly feels so at home and so many people told me I need to go to Osaka. Like I would love it. Like they’ve told me personally I need to go and I’m so glad I listened to them because they were right. Like they couldn’t have picked a city better for me that is in Japan. Like I literally feel at home. The thing that is true about Asaka night life is night life. Okay? It’s popping here. And y’all know I’m not the um I’m an auntie. So like I don’t be outside like that. But it is 2:00 a.m. though. But that’s cuz I’m jetlacked. For as far as like partying goes, like if that is your vibe, um you will definitely be able to find that here. just go to central Osaka and go turn up. But there’s also other things to do. And so like me, like the onins are open late. Um they allow tattoos. They’re more okay with tattoos. Um so that’s like a cool thing here. It’s a lot more of like expression of dress and like just style and like more expression of like culture. The people here are more they’re just more expressive. I feel I feel like in Tokyo they’re very reserved, which isn’t a bad thing. It’s just a different thing. And in Osaka, they’re very expressive. Um, like even when I was getting my massage, like my masseuse, um, like literally was talking to me for like 20 minutes. And normally, like I’ve never had, period, I’ve never had somebody talk to me while I was getting a massage. But I’m like, they’re very just outgoing. And like I saw somebody break dancing on the train, which seems like such a small thing, but I’m telling y’all, if you go to Tokyo, nobody is doing that. Nobody’s break dancing on trains. Nobody is um talking loud on trains or being like um expressive on trains. It’s very reserved, very technical, very like regimented. Whereas just like let’s be free, guys. Like let’s go with the flow. Flow. And so it’s a very lax environment. And like that’s what all the vlogs and blogs say, but like it truly is relaxed. It’s such a difference from Tokyo. Like I’ve seen more people with colored hair here. Like in Tokyo, everybody’s hair is black. Now you might get your your random like pump somebody like fashionista come in with like blue hair or like um a fashionista style, but they stick out in Tokyo. Like if you’re a fashionista in Tokyo, you stick out. Whereas here, everybody’s a fashionista. So if you’re wearing like basic colors and you’re wearing all black or like the standard Tokyo fit, it’s like, oh, like you literally can look at them and be like, “Oh, you’re from Tokyo.” Like I know you’re from Tokyo. You’re visiting. Like you got to be. Not a bad thing. Like I said, just a different thing. What I’m about to do is I’m going to eat my food, my snacks. Let me try it now for a little review. So, let’s see. This is the chiffon cake and whipped cream. Okay, so let’s try it. I feel like Sam and Victor. If you guys know who Sam and Victor is, comment below because I love them. They’re like one of my favorite vlog channels. Like, I love them. Y’all, this is Whoa. Hold up. Hold up. That was good. So, the whipped cream icing is so good. The cake is a little spongy. Like, it’s like spongy. It’s like not that flavorful, but the icing, y’all. Okay, I’m gonna leave that long because like my hand is all dirty now. If you guys haven’t already, I’m gonna close this vlog out. I’m gonna start again tomorrow. Um, well, day two. Like day one was amazing. Like my trip so far has just been lit and I still have three days to go and I’m like, “Wow, I have three days left here.” And I I feel so fulfilled already, which is just so great. And I’m just so grateful to God. Like, I cannot thank God enough. I cannot thank you guys enough. Like it’s just been an amazing ride this year and um I’m just so grateful to God and like what he has what he’s been willing to show me at my in my ripe young 30s. You know, I only thought I was going to be traveling like when I was in my 50s or 60s. And so to have this experience young like I’m just so grateful because this time last year I was homeless because my for all y’all who don’t know and you’re new to my channel my house burned down a year ago. Exactly. I lost everything. Me and my son lost everything and I was just like I’m at rock bottom. I don’t like I I don’t I don’t even know what to do. And it’s like now it’s given me like the flexibility and the ability to travel as much as I can because I don’t have any possessions. I don’t have anything holding me back. And like I’m so grateful to like my parents for like helping us like just like recover cuz like for me personally like I am legitimately dealing through like working through a lot of the experience is super traumatic. Like I don’t want to move back into an apartment again because I’m like I have no control if somebody burns stuff down, you know? Like and if my kid was in there or if we had like smoke issues or inhalation, like thank god nobody died, but like it just was a lot for me. And so I moved back in just to like emotionally recover and like it just worked out to where like I found joy in traveling and that’s like what I do now for the most part. So it’s like I’m I’m allowed and able to live a nomatic lifestyle. And I just say all that to say like if when life gives you lemons, turn it into lemonade. Like don’t let any situation, no matter how overwhelmingly negative it may seem, with God you can get through it. I’m telling you because this time la if I probably I privated a lot of my videos but this time last year my skin everything was going through I was going through it and now I’m just like wow God is so good. If you haven’t already please like comment and subscribe. It cost nothing so if you can I would really appreciate it. Help a small YouTuber like me. Um, and as always, link for my travel fund is down in the description if you want to contribute to me directly. And um, I’ll see you guys in my next video. Bye. [Music]
