【絶滅危惧種トキソウ満開】岡山・下足守の鯉岩湿原を83歳YouTuberが訪問｜朱鷺色の花が咲く奇跡の風景

2025年5月20日、岡山県の自然豊かな下足守（しもあしもり）地区にある「鯉岩湿原（こいいわしつげん）」を訪れました。
この時期、山陽新聞デジタルでも紹介されていた**絶滅危惧種「トキソウ（朱鷺草）」**が満開との情報を受け、静かな湿原の奥でひっそりと咲く様子を撮影しました。

「トキソウ」の名前の由来は、その可憐な淡いピンク色の花が、鳥の**朱鷺（トキ）**の羽色に似ていることから。
手前の湿原では見られませんでしたが、赤い鳥居を越えた先の湿原には、多くのトキソウが静かに咲き誇り、まるで夢のような風景が広がっていました。

日本の湿原が育む貴重な生態系と、そこに咲く命の美しさを、83歳の視点で丁寧にお届けします。

On May 20, 2025, I visited Koiiwa Wetland in Shimōashimori, Okayama Prefecture—a serene natural area known for its seasonal wildflowers.

This time, I went to witness the Tokisō (Pogonia japonica), a rare orchid listed as an endangered species in Japan. The name “Tokisō” comes from the soft pink hue of its petals, resembling the plumage of the Japanese crested ibis (Toki), a bird once common but now endangered.

While the front marsh had no blooms, beyond a striking red torii gate, the hidden wetland area was filled with gently blooming Tokisō—creating a dreamlike and tranquil scene.

At the age of 83, I hope to share the quiet beauty of Japan’s wetlands and the importance of preserving these delicate ecosystems.
