A new Japanese restaurant is opening on Mount Vernon Avenue in Del Ray.

Pak Soii Izakaya and Bar has posted signs in the window that they’ll be coming soon to 1909 Mount Vernon Avenue in the former Zuki Moon space. They’re also looking to hire a sushi chef, sushi helper, line cook, dishwasher, and servers.

The restaurant is owned by Supattra Pummora and Nat Chainam, the owners of Gin Ramen & Asian Tapas in the city’s Carlyle neighborhood, and Tsunami in Frederick, Maryland.

According to the new restaurant’s Facebook page:

Inspired by the simple joy of “Pak Soii” — where great food, laughter, and a warm atmosphere are always waiting. At Pak Soii, Asian street flavors meet Japanese soul. Welcome to your new favorite Izakaya & Bar.
