48 Hours in Fukuoka: Japan Eats and Hidden Gems You Didn’t Know!

[Music] so we’re here in Fukuoka prefecture so we’re actually here for 2 days this time the first day we’ve planned ourselves we’re going to different activities mainly a lot of different food spots and then the second day Fukuoka prefecture has actually planned out the entire day for us I don’t know I’m pretty excited for both days but the real thing that we want to know is which one of these days would you guys want to experience so stay the end to make a decision and let us know in the comments yo hey all right ready yes all right let’s go let’s [Music] go w we made it to our first spot which is Yaya Factory Terrace so fuka is known for a lot of different foods but poly gr AKA meno is one of the most popular ones foca prefecture actually makes and consumes more meno in any other place in Japan with that being said we’re here at the perfect place to learn about meno let’s go [Music] going to factories has become our go-to activity when traveling within Japan there’s something so cool about seeing how the stuff we eat or use all the time actually gets made I always learn the most random things like do you know how many meno you can get from one fish no one one fish one sack No One Fish Two sacks they get two sacks of eggs I guess so I guess so dang that’s what I read they produce a lot of eggs I know the more you know this is called the 88 step meno because it only takes 88 steps to go from the factory to here never being frozen right never been frozen fresh as it is cheers wow [Laughter] wow all right let’s go eat some mle all you can eat M go what well you can eat M go yeah right across from the gift shop I can see it already let’s go let’s [Music] go this place has a bunch of dishes packed with men Tao plus an all you can eat meno buffet and tons of tasty side dishes to go with it look at my Min I go oh it’s a lot of carbs and Mino in my meal yours is quite well balanced this is Korean dish right I wonder what Korean people think this combination I feel like they would be like oh that’s something we would eat in [Music] Korea oh I that’s good [Music] see there’s a reason why this is classic I’m curious to try their potato salad oh man I can’t taste it cuz of all this no way we mess up or I messed up I can’t taste a Meo yeah can you tast like regular potato [Music] sauce this Cafe we came to for a quick break is actually a place that’s been on my to go list for quite some time because of the little twist they add to their dessert okay so we just ordered the which is this set right here and this is where the twist is you get to experience grilling your own Dongo like how cool is that so you grab your Dongo and you just place it on there the sizzle let’s flip this over oh look at that let’s start with this one the white one dip it in M sauce M sauce is like a sweet soy sauce base right yeah did you see that pull though yeah I don’t know if you guys saw that but it is so soft on the inside but the outside because of the charcoal has this like charred bit it makes a great contrast let me flip this over real quick it’s like cake pop Japanese version of cake pop I can tell how gooey it is just by listening to you eat it this is the best I actually have a question for you oh yes what’s the difference between and Dango I don’t actually know the answer I’m just asking how I young well you’re Japanese I think with Dango you use the rice flour instead of cooking the rice and pounding it cook rice and pound it versus Flour mixed with water and boil it so how you make it with the same ingredients changes what it is or what it’s called I think we think don’t call me on that Google it [Music] so we have arrived at the zyu shopping street but we’re not actually going to stop and look at the shops just yet the reason is when we walk all the way to the end there’s actually going to be a shrine and it’s actually recommended whenever you go to a shrine or even a temple that you visit and like say hi or praise the gods first before you enjoy yourself so that’s what we’re going to do we’re going to go say hi to the gods and then start shopping [Music] o and I also heard that there is a bowl is really popular people actually line up just to touch this cow wherever you touch on the cow is supposed to make it better for yourself so for example if I want to be smarter I would touch the cow’s head and actually the head is the most touch area so that’s why the bronze has kind of like faded out a little bit all right let’s see if they respect lines it looks like not it’s okay smart become smarter and sometimes I have lower back pain so tush lower back too this is the famous Starbucks what do you mean famous this architecture it is quite unique huh yeah it’s the law that restricts two FL woman Decor is everywhere me and my bestie me and my bestie oh I know I got it and it’s piping hot is it yes because it’s like so fresh I’m sure the inside will still be gooey M I’m going to be real honest I think I would prefer for it if it wasn’t grilled yeah because it’s crispy on the outside yes but it takes away from the gooiness on the inside it mm m my might know I was literally telling him like I don’t know how I feel about this one but actually that’s pretty good yeah who am [Music] [Applause] [Music] I look you can actually see the abandoned this is what um oh this is what it looks like oh my God what is it called y y it’s not abandoned I’m pretty sure they still use it so this is what it looks like when it’s all tucked up and look it says so it means this is technically considered as a bicycle not a car not a car you might be asking where are you going now well let me just say we’re going to eat one of the most famous things here in Fukuoka prefecture this one we’re going today was recommended by by one of my best friends who is actually from fukoka so it must be good cuz the local recommends it oh we’re almost there wait it looks really like fancy stuck oh wow looks super fancy oh I’m so [Music] excited tonight we’re eating at this restaurant called stuck out to try their mutab AKA beef oal stew Hot Pot we also tried their local delicacy horse meat Sashimi but nothing Tops This Umami packed beef stew look at that jiggle I’m going to go for it I’m going for it I went for it it’s so weird that we love it but we love it it’s actually very thick the reason why it’s thick is because the beef oal kind of seeps the fat out into the rest of the stew so it mixes with the vegetables and the whole broth this is the best hot B dish ever I you it I wish you guys could taste this from the screen it’s kind of hard to explain just know it just tastes like um mamy fat creamy roothy oh everything what you doing what you doing good morning from Hakata station today is our second day of our foka trip which means means fukoka prefecture is actually planning the day for us through yoka bus yoka bus is a new bus tour that have to worry about driving so that’s what we’re going to be doing and I think oh my God 2 minutes let’s [Music] go I think I made a mistake I think yoka in yabas actually means not holiday what is yoka buas Yoga should mean something like holiday or vacation something like that and bus means bus I think in this case it means good good right how do there you have it guys good bus good [Music] bus what you [Music] get when inuk get a men Tao bread I thought we said we have enough meno for the rest of the year another day another mindset let’s open her up w oh see M after eating some meno bread during a little pit stop we stop by the cutest Shrine that was covered in Hearts which is because the only Shrine that dedicated to the deity of Love wow inuka prefecture inuka prefecture well I guess we got to we got to pray for love then yes let’s do it okay made it to the lunch spot so nice right behind the restaurant there’s a very traditional Japanese garden I feel like this is a perfect time of year to come because all the leaves have turned colors and it’s just so pretty look at the mummy chilies this area in fukoka we’re visiting today is known for their steamed eel so after devouring our big lunch with steamed eel next to the Japanese garden we headed to one of the most anticipated activities of the day [Applause] [Music] let’s [Music] [Applause] [Music] go looks like we’re going to go down a canal we’re going to have one person driving rowing the boat hting you call it in England Hunting the boat hunting hting hunting theat hunting is when you use a pole and you’re pushing oh wow r on the [Music] town they say you’re [Applause] alone they say that you ain’t sound [Music] welcome to [Music] [Laughter] sorry sorry ier he’s a risk taker okay oh wow dangerous like a d lion my love St roots for you like the Dy lion my love’s going to break right through those concrete floors and the so L walls will all been made to part and my D Li in love is going [Music] I’m oh how cute oh my God all right they’re really emphasizing the importance of not putting air yeah like please next time I go to the supermarket and there’s no bubbles I’m going to be like wow that is Art y because it’s a miso place they have lots of different like miso appetizers or things that you put on Rice this is a peanut one so that’s nice isn’t it let’s go I’ll get you the unique [Laughter] one after making our own miso to take home we headed to our last stop of the tour a local souvenir shop this bus tour which includes visiting a love Shrine eating steamed eel by the Japanese garden a river cruise hand making miso and souvenir shopping came out to be a total of $100 so what do you guys think whether you prefer day one or day two I hope you guys end up making it out here too see [Music] you an angel walking in the sand

  1. I say this with all due respect to Shun. You are so incredibly beautiful and I love your uploads! I have been wanting to move to Japan and your uploads keep making it more difficult to resist lol.

  2. Sorry, I have to share it… you're easily one of the most beautiful woman I've ever seen (and listened to). Love your videos, btw.

  3. Awesome vlog! Love the quality of the video – b-roll, music, transitions…! If I may ask – what video editing software do you use?

  4. Hi patricia can i ask if its ok only? how you cure all of your pimples and pimple marks and scars? can you share your skin care secrets, i have low confidence because of my pimples and pimple scars.

  5. There are almost no direct flights between Fukuoka and Europe or the US, so it's limited to travelers from Asia.
This means that Western travelers overlook Kyushu, one of Japan's top tourist areas.
Also, while Hiroshima, home to the Atomic Bomb Dome, has been attracting attention from Western tourists recently, it seems that little is known about the fact that Nagasaki, also in Kyushu, was bombed.

  6. I like the vibes of the video. It is relaxing, fun to watch, informative and very light.❤❤ Patricia has a bubbly presence in her videos and his boyfriend complements it. Hoping they add more 20-30 mins videos. I am down for that.

  7. フランスのベベちゃんが卵の自動販売機の動画を紹介していてこちらにたどり着きました
    福岡を楽しんでもらえて良かったです😊

  8. What a wonderful video! Very insightful. I have a question – I intend on being there in August and I was a little disappointed the same tour you guys took does not seem to operate on that month. However, I really do want to experience the steamed eel and the Miso making and such. Is there a way I could do these in Fukuoka itself or must I somehow get to these places on my own?
    Thank you! 😊
